Ep 156 | How to create strategic brand stories with Patrice Poltzer
Épisode 156
vendredi 27 septembre 2024 • Durée 01:16:16
You should probably know this stat:
Today we have Gracie-award winning TODAY show producer and video agency founder, Patrice Poltzer, on the show!
We're talking all things strategic storytelling.
Because, did you know businesses that regularly tell stories are:
✔️60% more likely to be seen as innovative and make
💰20% more sales on average than the exact same business that doesn't incorporate storytelling?
Yep, you read that right.
But "tell more stories" is lame, unhelpful advice.
I get it.
That's why Patrice is here to talk about the STRATEGY and SCIENCE behind storytelling.
She doesn't just walk you through her 3 part framework for strategic storytelling, but she talks about how to implement it AND how to make sure AI is taking the heavy lifting off your plate.
Here are some links you've gotta know about:

Ep 146 | [FOTW] Is the offer *actually* too expensive or is this a packaging issue?
Épisode 146
jeudi 9 mai 2024 • Durée 39:58
It’s been awhile since I invited you to be a FLY ON THE WALL of one of our problem solving coaching calls.
Today we have 2 coaches: Heidi + Eleni
Heidi:
is a business coach for wedding professionals, she helps them book more weddings & have more freedom & time off.
She just had a high ticket launch that didn't go to plan. She thought it might be too expensive — and you know what? She totally might be right.
But I felt it was too early to break it apart and make it less expensive. I felt it could be because the right audience isn’t on her list so this is *actually* a growth issue OR that it could actually be a packaging issue.
Listen in as we talk about strategically using surveys and some key shifts I’d make to how she’s positioning this offer.
Resources:
Here’s the survey mentioned in the call:

Get her Testimonials that sell template: https://www.evolveyourweddingbusiness.com/testimonialsthatsell
Plus here’s her website + socials:
evolveyourweddingbusiness.com
Eleni:
Eleni is a nutrition coach.
She helps you learn simple steps to start losing weight without dieting ever again!
She's wondering if she should turn her higher priced offer into a membership because people keep saying, "I can't afford this."
I felt like there might be something else going on here and I didn't want her to do all that work to dismantle this offer and create a whole new offer before having an honest conversation about what was really going on.
I see MANY people fall into — myself included. We need to be reminded all the time that just making something cheaper isn't going to make it sell.

Ep 56 | How to connect with strangers on the internet
Épisode 56
mardi 7 février 2023 • Durée 16:59
Today, we’re takin’ a trip through my DMs.
I got a great question from “Jamie.”
She understands the importance of speaking to strangers on the internet if you want to create collaborative relationships and grow in a nurtured way on Instagram.
But… she’s the kinda gal who sits alone at a party counting down the hours until she can leave instead of trying to meet friends.
So … *HOW* does this happen for someone who’s not a social butterfly?
The truth is, this will be difficult for someone who doesn’t go out of their way to speak to people.
But – it WILL get easier when you show up just to be human and stop over-thinking it.
And just to prove my point, I took a gander through my DMs and read my last 5 DMs to strangers along with the context around why I was messaging them.
I hope you see that – in this stage of messaging – the only objective is to create a genuine connection.
I’m not approaching this with a step 1, step 2 or step 3 strategy.
I’m not trying to trick people into talking to me so that I can sell them something.
I’m doing what social media was designed for, being social.
And when you see these DM examples, I hope you’ll see that this does not have to be complicated AT ALL. In fact, it can be the easiest and most effective thing you do for your business.

Ep 53 | My engagement sucks. Should I start a new Instagram account?
Épisode 53
vendredi 27 janvier 2023 • Durée 14:31
We’ve got a question from a listener!
“Alexa” did some bot work back in the day so she’s got several thousand followers … but they’re very untargeted.
She wants to know if she should start her account over.
This is a hard one to answer, because it depends!
So I walk through some pros + cons to consider so you can come up with the best answer for you.
FYI: Consider this a part 2 to episode 30 where we talk about whether or not you should have a separate account for your business.

Ep 51 | 5 big mistakes you make when growing your email list
Épisode 51
lundi 23 janvier 2023 • Durée 17:12
In my last episode I said something like…
“If you’re not growing your email list, you’re not growing your business.”
People got a little alarmed when I said that.
They said things like, “But I am trying to grow my email list… but it’s not working!”
So I wanted to do an episode covering the biggest mistakes I see when people are sharing their lead magnets and doing “all” the things but… it’s not working.
Now of course, your lead magnet must be something your audience wants.
That’s *THE* most important part of all of this.
But outside of that, these 5 mistakes can also make a HUGE difference and – so often – I see people don’t even consider them.
So let’s dive in!

Ep 50 | Sales + Growth tasks I do *OUTSIDE* of posting
Épisode 50
vendredi 20 janvier 2023 • Durée 21:24
Today we’re gettin’ real. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, this is for you if you get stuck thinking, “WTF am I doing wrong?? I post everyday but don’t get results!”
Let’s break this down.
There are three objectives that we typically have:
➡️an objective to GROW
➡️an objective to NURTURE
➡️an objective to SELL
And whatever big picture strategy you have for each of these things, social media needs to be PART of it, it can’t be the full thing.
So I share what I’m doing behind the social media for each of these things in this episode.
And then ask you a real talk question at the end to bring it all together.
