S2 E3 | How to not fall prey to the scams in the online industry with Emma Cooper

Saison 2 · Épisode 3

mardi 25 novembre 2025Durée 41:55

Trigger Warning: Suicide talk

In this episode, I sit down with Emma Cooper, a business coach that has been in the industry as long as I have, to discuss how easy it is to be manipulated as a buyer in the industry.

It's so easy to lose money to suppliers that don't deliver but looking back we both can see red flags we should have spotted and it's time to share these so that it becomes simpler for buyers to do their due diligence.

In this episode you'll learn what to look out for so that you can be confident in your purchases and we'll also look at how buying has changed in the last couple of years online.

Emma built her first million-pound business as a pregnant police officer—and never looked back. Now, after scaling multiple seven-figure businesses, she helps entrepreneurs grow faster, smarter, and without the fluff. Emma believes in action over theory, clarity over complexity, and real results over hype.

S2 E2 | Resilience after a very public mistake with rogue trader, Nick Leeson

Saison 2 · Épisode 2

mardi 18 novembre 2025Durée 56:16

In this episode I sat down with Nick Leeson, the trader known for bringing down the oldest bank in history. Like many I'd watched the film Rogue Trader, based on Nick's autobiographical book and had questions about resilience and how you build a life and a legacy after such a huge public mistake.

I also wanted to speak to Nick about the work he does now – helping people like me who have been the victims of fraud and how he got to be in this position after being arguably, one of the most famous fraudsters himself. The collapse of Barings Bank and Nick Leeson's role in it is one of the most spectacular debacles in financial history, leading to a stay in a Singapore prison for Nick.

Three decades on, Mr Leeson continues to use his experiences to deliver a cautionary tale on the environment that led to the downfall of the bank, as well as his personal views on the current state of the economy and finance industry, and insights on risk management, company culture and mental well-being. In this episode you'll learn about how to move on, what legacy really means and also some tips on how to spot online frauds today.

Bonus Ep - Choosing the right business model for happiness

mardi 6 septembre 2022Durée 19:41

About 6 months ago I started to think about how I can help people make money while also running a business that makes them happy in their daily lives.

Happiness is so underrated amongst business owners with a lot of entrepreneurs chasing money, rather than chasing happiness.

What You'll Learn In This Episode:

- How creating a business model that works with your personality and passion will amplify your happiness and your income.

- I'll take you through my own business model and explain why I have created something different to everyone else in the industry.

- Why I've made it my personal mission to help my clients build recession-proof businesses that work for them.

- An introduction to a new set of free workshops I am running in September 2022 that will help you discover how you can diversify your business prioritising your happiness.
