Dwaipaayan Krishn and Vaasudev Krishn put in relentless and continuous efforts to establish and strengthen the same fundamental values and ideals for which Ram fought the war against Raavan. By learning and understanding this story and by adopting the learnings into our behaviour we can make our life happy and rich.

Episode 50 of the conversations between Dr. Yogita Pant and Dr. Anil Chawla discusses the second part of the preachings by Maharshi Naarad to Dharmraaj Yuddhishthir. The first part was in episode 49. This part begins with Maharshi speaking about agriculture, irrigation and welfare of farmers. He also talks about taxation and the way a king should punish for wrongs done by offenders. Maharshi asks Yuddhishthir about corruption by his employees. Lastly, Maharshi Naarad speaks about the fourteen faults of kings.

It is interesting to note that Ram had mentioned exactly the same fourteen faults of a king when Bharat had met Ram in the forest. Episode 41 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla discusses the events that led to Arjun leaving Indraprasth for twelve years. Some looters looted cows of a Brahmin. The Brahmin came to the palace of Paandavs and cried for help. All the weapons of Paandavs were kept at a place where Yuddhishthir was spending time alone with Draupadee. Violating their privacy was punishable. However, Arjun decided to walk in to pick up his bow and arrows. Arjun was able to overpower the looters and get the Brahmin’s cows back. As per the agreed rule, Arjun decided to depart from Indraprasth and go to forest for twelve years. His first stop was Gangadwar or Haridwar. At Haridwar while bathing in Gangaa, he was kidnapped by Uloopee, daughter of Naag king. The two married for a night and parted thereafter. (Mahabharat/Aadiparv/Arjunvanvaas Parv/Chapters 212-213).

Episode 62 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla starts with the team of vaanars led by Angad feeling happy after Sampaati tells them about location of Sita in Lanka across the ocean. As they look at the ocean, the problem of crossing the ocean seems unsurmountable. The team is depressed. Angad tries to get the enthusiasm back. Angad asks each team member to say his capacity in terms of jumping across large distance. It is clear that the distance of one hundred yojan is too much for them. Jambwaan, the senior-most member of the team decides to motivate Hanuman. Jambwaan tells Hanuman the story of Hanuman’s birth and also the story of how as a child Hanuman had tried to catch the sun. Jambwaan also tells Hanuman of the various boons that Hanuman is blessed with. On hearing Jambwaan, Hanuman is filled with enthusiasm and starts preparing to cross the ocean. Episode 61 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla starts with Hanuman getting concerned about Angad’s decision to settle in Swayamprabha’s cave and not return to Kishkindha. Hanuman first convinces other members of the team to not go with Angad. Hanuman then speaks to Angad trying to tell him about the dangers of his scheme. Angad is not convinced with Hanuman’s arguments. Angad directs all team members to return while he fasts to death. All team members decide to join Angad in the fast to death. Gidhraaj Sampaati, elder brother of Jataayu sees the fasting team and is looking forward to get food as the team members die with hunger. But, Sampaati overhears the team members talk about Jataayu. Sampaati begs the team of vaanars to tell him about his younger brother. Sampaati hears about Ram and Lakshman as well as about the kidnapping of Seeta. Sampaati tells his own story and guides the team about Seeta being in the palace of Raavan in Lanka located at one hundred yojan across the sea. (Ref. Episode 60 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla describes some of the difficulties faced by the team led by Prince Angad. The three teams that had gone to north, east and west had returned as per the targeted time of one month without finding Seeta. The team that went to south faced a number of problems. They encountered thick forests, caves and even a daanav. They came across a dead forest where there were no birds or animals since the forest had nothing to eat and no water to drink. The team continued their search even though they were extremely hungry and thirsty. During their search they came across a cave which was hidden and seemed very dark. They decided to enter the dark cave in the hope of finding food and water. After walking through total darkness for miles, they came across beautiful divine scenery with golden trees, clear water and lots of gold and precious stones. A woman named Swayamprabha was guarding the place. She offered food and water to the team of Vanars. Later she helped them get out of the cave. After coming out, Angad realized that the specified time period of one month was already over. Angad decided to end his life by fasting to death. However, Taar convinced Angad that instead of embracing death they should go back inside the cave and spend rest of their lives in the cave. (Ref. Episode 59 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla starts with Sugreev getting serious about helping Ram find Seeta. Sugreev orders Hanuman to send representatives to various regions with orders to all armies to gather in Kishkindha without any delay. Soon, armies of vaanars start gathering from all over. Sugreev goes to meet Ram with the armies. Sugreev places the armies at the disposal of Ram. However, Ram tells Sugreev that at the moment the work is of searching for Seeta which has to be done entirely by Sugreev and his teams. After Seeta is located, further actions will be planned jointly. Sugreev deputes teams to different directions for searching Seeta. However, the most elite team is sent to the south under the leadership of Prince Angad. The team sent to south also had Hanuman, Neel and Jambwan. Sugreev especially conveyed to Hanuman that he was relying on Hanuman to be able to accomplish the mission. Ram also felt that Hanuman will be the one to find Seeta and hence gave his ring to Hanuman to give to Seeta as and when Seeta is located. (Ref. Episode 58 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla starts with Ram expressing his anger to Lakshman about Sugreev not doing anything for searching Sita. Ram knows that Sugreev is busy having fun with his wives and has forgotten about the promise to search for Sita. Ram sends Lakshman to Sugreev to convince Sugreev to fulfil his promise. Ram also tells Lakshman to convey to Sugreev that the path on which Vaalee has gone is not closed and if Sugreev does not act on his promise, Ram will not hesitate to send Sugreev on the same path. Lakshman goes to Kishkindha to meet Sugreev. When Lakshman reaches there, Sugreev is asleep in a state of intoxication with his wife Tara and also other wives. Yuvraj Angad and ministers wake up Sugreev and brief him about the angry Lakshman on the door. Sugreev is afraid of facing anger of Lakshman. He asks his wife Tara to talk to Lakshman and cool the tempers. Tara does a fabulous job. Sugreev also apologises to Lakshman for his lapse. (Ref. Episode 57 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla describes the situation in Kishkindha after Vaalee’s cremation. Sugreev is crowned as the king. He gets back his wife, Ruma and also gets to marry Tara as well as other widows of Vaalee. Ram decides to spend four months of rainy season in a nearby cave deferring the search for Sita to post-rains. Earlier Sugreev was forced to live a life of celibacy and now he had many wives. Sugreev immersed himself in fun and frolic with his many wives and forgot all his responsibilities, duties and commitments. Rains ended but Sugreev did nothing in connection with the promised search of Sita. Hanuman tried to advise Sugreev to take up his commitment to Ram seriously. Sugreev agreed with Hanuman’s advice and issued orders for the army to gather together. Having issued the order, Sugreev went back to his wives and continued enjoying life. (Ref. Episode 56 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla describes the emotions of Tara, Vaalee’s wife when she comes to know of her husband being hit by Ram’s arrow. Tara sees her life without Vaalee as meaningless and wants to do a fast unto death. Other wives of Vaalee and Prince Angad, son of Vaalee and Tara are also crying as Vaalee breathes his last. Seeing the tears all around, Sugreev is shaken. Sugreev’s happiness of victory disappears and instead deep sadness overcomes him. Vaalee calls Sugreev and expresses remorse for the fact that animosity had developed between them. Vaalee hands over to Sugreev the kingdom of Kishkindha, all his wealth and fame. Vaalee even hands over to Sugreev the divine necklace made of gold that he had received from Indr. All this makes Sugreev even more remorseful and guilty. Sugreev goes to Ram and expresses his pain. Sugreev is unable to live with the fact that he got his own brother killed. Sugreev prays to Ram to kill him. Ram handles the difficult situation very well convincing Tara as well as Sugreev to stop crying and carry out the last rites of Vaalee. (Ref.
