Business strategist, author, keynote speaker Jay Baer already had a successful life as a multi-hyphenate when he began to share his love for tequila with the public. In less than two years, that hobby turned into a stellar side-hustle (merch and all!) with nearly 200,000 people following his Instagram and TikTok accounts for his takes on tequila. 

Baer sits and sips with Olivia, shares what he's still learning about the industry, the times when tequila (or his followers) have brought him to tears, and a little behind the curtain peak on how he and Maddie prep their reviews. Baer also shares what he loves about Tequila Corrido's new, limited-release overproof Blanco.

Tequila Corrido Red Wine Old-Fashioned

2 oz Corrido Repo

.5 oz Italian Red Blend & Cinnamon Reduction (pre-made, directions below)

2 dashes Black Walnut Bitters

Combine all ingredients into mixing glass, add ice, Stir for 10 seconds, strain over ice, and garnish with fresh orange peel.

For Red Wine/Cinnamon Reduction: 

750 ml Red Wine 

750 ml sugar

6-8 Cinnamon Sticks

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, then turn to a

simmer for 20 minutes. Let sit to room temp. Strain to remove cinnamon sticks, pour into a container and refrigerate,

1 ½ oz Tequila Corrido Blanco 

1 oz lime juice 

½ oz luxardo Maraschino Liqueur

 ¼ oz orgeat 

½ oz strawberry juice

Glass: Double Old Fashioned Garnish: Strawberry fan on a pick

Add all ingredients in your short shaker, fill your short shaker to the rim with ice. Shake hard for seven seconds. Strain over fresh ice into your double old fashioned, using your Hawthorne strainer.
