1. promote open communication-Connect with everyone on your team on a personal level-Identify how they communicate and how you can improve your communication

2. recognize and reward achievements-Recognize the good work your people are doing.-If they don't meet a goal completely, that's okay. Celebrate what they did accomplish.

3. foster inclusivity and diversity. -Every human being is unique. -You need to find out what makes them unique and how they can share that with your team to strengthen it.

4. set clear goals and expectations. -Everyone on your team needs to know their expectations and the goals for the team.

5. encourage professional development. -As a leader, you should be producing more leaders. -Find out how your people want to advance their careers and help them achieve it.

I’m ditching the “F” word… Failure, (failing fast, failing forward, etc)…I’m ditching these words.

I’m replacing “failure” with “growth experience”...because that’s what it is.

Success and failure produce the same opportunities for leaders.

Both offer an opportunity to learn and grow. I’ve hindered my growth for too long considering my past actions as failures.

All of it…good, bad, successes, dumpster fires…it’s all growth experiences for growth-minded leaders. Without every single experience,

I would not be who I am, And leaders who excel are the ones who embrace every experience.
