In this minisode, I’m sharing a personal experience that reminded me just how much our bodies hold onto emotions, trauma and unprocessed feelings. Your Homework Exercise: Body Check-In & Emotional Release
This week, take 5-10 minutes to check in with your body using this simple exercise:
Find a quiet space where you can sit or lie down comfortably.
Close your eyes and take three deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Scan your body from head to toe - notice any tension, discomfort or tightness.
Pause and ask yourself:Where do I feel this in my body? Could this be connected to an emotion I haven’t fully processed? If this sensation had a message for me, what would it say?
Allow yourself to release. If you feel emotions rise, let them. You might cry, sigh or feel a shift in your body.
End with gentle movement - roll your shoulders, stretch or shake out any lingering tension.
Write about what came up for you. Did you notice any patterns? Any past experiences resurfacing?
Have you ever experienced a moment where your body held onto an emotion? We'd love to hear from you! Share in our facebook group or send us a message - your story might help someone else feel less alone.
