Ep. 7: The Thread and Stitching of the Dreaming, Part 2 (The Freedom Transmissions Series)23 Nov 202400:16:27

Episode Summary: The Thread and Stitching of the Dreaming, Part 2 (Pages 96-106)

In this continuation of The Thread and Stitching of the Dreaming, we deepen our exploration of how our soul, body, and spirit body are connected to the great Web of Life. The soul is woven into the physical form—into our bones, blood, DNA, and heart—while the spirit body extends outward, like a spider’s silk, connecting us to unseen energetic threads in the world.

We revisit key themes introduced in Part 1, including vibration, resonance, and the importance of discerning what and who we are energetically stitching to. This chapter also introduces the concepts of the wheat and the chaff, the process of unstitching from old stories and fear, the power of grief, and the call to commit to our inner process.

This is The Thread and Stitching of the Dreaming, Part 2.

Key Themes

* The Wheat and the Chaff – Separating what aligns with your soul from what no longer serves.

* Energy and Vibration – Becoming conscious of what you’re energetically stitched to.

* Unstitching and Re-stitching – Releasing old attachments and choosing sacred alignment.

* Grief as Energy – Understanding grief as the energy of letting go and transformation.

* Spiritual Commitment – The call to take your spiritual path seriously and move from complacency to conscious co-creation.

Wheat and Chaff: Two Meanings

Yeshua refers to the wheat as the soul or Divine consciousness, and the chaff as form, matter, or ego identity.

* Physical Death – At death, the chaff (body) returns to the Earth, and the wheat (soul) returns to Spirit. While the physical body ends, spirit energy is eternal.

* Internal Separation – The ongoing spiritual practice of separating yourself from that which isn’t in alignment with your evolution. This includes releasing fear, shame, stagnancy, and unworthiness.

Serving Needs vs. Wants

* “Spirit serves needs, not wants.”

* When we operate from our soul, service flows with joy and ease.

* When we serve from ego or obligation, it becomes complicated and draining.

The Prostration Prayer

Found on page 97, this prayer acknowledges the equality of worth in all beings. It’s a powerful invocation for humility, grace, and unity.

“Your worth is equal to mine, beloved, my worth is equal to yours, beloved...”

Recite this prayer to shift your perception toward reverence and wholeness.

Lens of the Wheat vs. Lens of the Chaff

* The chaff lens focuses only on the external: body, mind, and form. It often leads to toiling and dissatisfaction.

* The wheat lens honors the soul, the unseen, and inner truth—resulting in greater peace, joy, and spiritual liberation.

Spiritual Self-Care Is a Choice

* Commit to your soul’s evolution.

* Stop delaying your spiritual practices and healing.

* There is no guru or healer that can do this work for you.

* As the book reminds us, “You were not just made to be in life. You were made OF life.”

Grief as a Sacred Energy

* Grief is described as the energy of letting go.

* It arises when something has shifted in your life: a person, story, role, or identity.

* Grief is an invitation to honor the transition and open space for something new to be woven in.

The One Stitch That Matters Most

* What are you stitched to?

* The most important thread is your sacred heart—Simplicity, Stability, Surrender, and Stillness.

* “Any love-not that keeps you out of your sacred heart is the most important to focus your awareness on to transform.”

Questions for Reflection (Page 106)

* What do I need to have Faith in?

* What do I need to Forgive and be Forgiven for?

* What do I need to be Free from?

These questions are part of your writing homework. Take time to reflect deeply and write your answers down as a sacred commitment.

Key Takeaways

* You are a sacred thread in the Web of Life.

* Unstitch from imbalance, and reweave with purpose.

* You have the power to shift your reality by shifting your energy and awareness.

* Let grief guide you gently into transformation.

* The one stitch that matters most is the one in your sacred heart.

New Series: Welcome to a New Season of Hold the Light Podcast09 Sep 202400:01:39

Here on Hold the Light podcast, I’m introducing something new.

For a while, I will be using this space in the style of a book study or book review. My first focus will be on the book The Freedom Transmissions.

In addition to occasional interviews here on the podcast,  I’ll be dropping new episodes where I’ll share my reflections on the wisdom and offerings of the The Freedom Transmissions, chapter by chapter.

Even if you’ve read the book, I believe there is always something new to uncover. It’s an ongoing opportunity for us to each transform and evolve, as well as deepen our connection to something greater than ourselves.

So, if you’re interested in creating more peace, simplicity, balance, forgiveness, and freedom in your life, this series is for you. This is where we can dedicate time to our personal and spiritual growth.

There are no experts or gurus here. We’re all beginners, moving deeper into our authenticity, originality, and peace. It’s my joy to curate this space.

So get yourself a copy of The Freedom Transmissions — and ideally the audiobook as well — and join me on Saturday, September 14 as I kick off the series in conversation with Carissa Schumacher, who channeled these transmissions.

Ep. 32: Kathy Taylor, Psychic Medium, on Connecting with Spirit Guides & Loved Ones02 Sep 202400:39:36

If you believe in spirit guides, are curious about spirit guides, or even wonder what it’s like to connect with loved ones who have crossed over, this episode is for you.

I’m in a community of women where every week we talk about things that are somehow related to the spiritual or personal growth space. No topic or idea is off limits or judged, from energy healers to forensic mediums to equine therapists, we love sharing information about what we’ve discovered, tried, or have heard about. When one friend mentioned that they had a reading with a psychic medium that blew her mind, of course we all wanted details. This psychic medium is my guest today, Kathy Taylor

Kathy is a fourth-generation medium and has trained under Psychic Medium Lisa Williams with her International School of Spiritual Development and is certified as a Psychic Medium. To date, Kathy has done approximately 4,000 private readings, working with clients internationally.

At the top of this year when we heard that she was reading for a live audience, I flew to New Jersey to see Kathy in person with my dear soul sister Jenn. We were both blown away by what we had witnessed. After the event was over, I knew that I wanted to talk with Kathy here on Hold the Light. As you’ll hear, this is where we start the conversation.

We also talk about how she connects with people and spirit guides on the other side; she share one of the first lessons she learned about being a psychic medium; and she talks about our teams of Spirit guides – what and who they are made up of, and how we can each discover the main players on our personal teams.

Ep. 31: Bex Urban, Yoga Guide on the Power of Retreating, Meditation, and Taking a Sacred Pause26 Aug 202400:39:23

Bex Urban is a healer and guide in the world of yoga, pilates, meditation, and Reiki. Her approach focuses on bringing awareness to our breath as the essential link between mind, body, and movement. She emphasizes finding our center, balancing the body from the inside out, and using physical practice to forge a larger spiritual connection. Her positive energy inspires everyone she works with to show up, release, and build strength.

I met Bex at a spiritual retreat where she led a beautiful breathwork exercise which encouraged us all to get grounded and connected. I appreciate the work she does in the world – and so that is why I wanted to talk with her here on Hold the Light.

In our conversation, we talk about the act of retreating, and how we can retreat in our every day, including things we can do to help shape our day. We don't necessarily have go somewhere to retreat. We can do it in our own way at home.

She shares wisdom on ways to help guide others, we talk about meditation and taking a sacred pause, and what she suggests people can do on a daily basis to bring greater levels of peace into their lives.

If you’re wanting to add some new tools to your spiritual toolbox, this conversation is for you!

Ep. 30: Orly Altaras, Psychic Medium on Intuition, Signs & Syncronicities08 Apr 202400:45:04

On the show today is Orly Altaras, a psychic medium who lives in Los Angeles. We met in an online community and I can’t really remember all the details of our meeting, but it was one of those things where we somehow connected online, we chatted, we did an Instagram Live together, and that was so fun that we hosted an in-person New Moon Circle, and have just been champions of each other since.

As a psychic medium, Orly offers 1:1 sessions with people helping them to connect with loved ones on the other side; she does small group readings; she leads classes on how to tap into your intuition; and also is the owner of Lara & Lou, an online shop that provides goods and services for your spirit and home.

Orly has such a beautiful spirit – you’ll hear that in this conversation. She shares some tips on how we can strengthen our intuition and shares some beautiful stories around tuning into the signs and synchronicities that are all around us.

Ep. 28: Alison Leipzig, Spiritual Teacher: On the Healing Power of Sound and Vibration25 Mar 202400:35:04

Have you ever had the experience of a sound bath? It’s truly magical.

And that's how I met today’s guest, Alison Liepzig. Ali led a sound bath experience in my hometown of Los Angeles, which I was able to attend after hearing about Ali’s work from a friend. When it was over, I knew I wanted to talk with Ali here on Hold the Light.

Ali has her hands in several spiritually-inspired spaces. She is the co-founder of Soul Camp Creative, which is a sacred strategy house committed to serving spiritual entrepreneurs. She’s also a spiritual teacher, retreat and camp leader, and a sound and vibrational healer.

It’s her work with sound and vibration that we’re focusing on today.

I’m excited for you to hear this conversation and learn more about the power of sound.

Ep. 27: Rev. Liliana Barzola, Psychic Intuitive: How to Raise Our Energetic Vibration18 Mar 202400:40:43

Today's guest is today’s guest: Rev. Liliana Barzola, renowned spiritual intuitive and founder and CEO of Lotus Lantern Healing Arts.

She’s been a psychic intuitive since childhood and uses her gift to help people and organizations find clarity and directions – and has conducted over 20,000 in-person and phone intuitive sessions, and has taught over 600 students since 2002.

As she says, “Oftentimes, ‘psychic sensitives’ are the most in need of healing and support.”

And that she likes to think of herself as the healer’s healer.

Among other things we talk about in this conversation, of course, we talk about energy: why it gets stuck in our bodies and how it manifests. I was curious: what does stuck energy look like? Liliana shares how to clear our energy, how to ground ourselves, and also how to tap into our intuition.

Ep. 26: On Choosing Courage Over Comfort11 Mar 202400:10:07

In this solo episode, I share my thoughts on the statement "Courage over comfort." It's been one of my guiding lights this past year, but I had an interesting encounter with someone who didn't like that phrase. I'm sharing my story here -- and I also ask, who are we to know what's best for others? How can we strengthen our internal guidance system so that we make choices in our life based on our inner knowing and intuition.

As Esther and Jerry Hicks (of Abraham-Hicks) says:

“Others cannot understand the vibrational content of your desires, and they cannot understand the vibrational content of who you are, so they are not in any way equipped to guide you. Even when they have the very best intentions and want your absolute well-being, they do not know. And even though many of them attempt to be unselfish, it is never possible for them to separate their desire for you from their own desire for themselves.”

Carissa, who is one of my spiritual teachers, is a Forensic Psychic Medium, an empathic intuitive, a Sacred Ceremony Facilitator and a full-body Channel for Yeshua, with whom she co-created the book The Freedom Transmissions.

You may have ideas when you hear the name Yeshua, and I did too. So, I wanted to hear from Carissa who Yeshua is to her. What is her definition?

What she describes was so helpful to me – and I know to others who heard the full conversation – because there is such clarity – and beauty – in her answer.

Divine Alchemy: Unlocking Transformation Through The Freedom Transmissions with Carissa Schumacher09 Nov 202401:08:11

Welcome to Hold the Light, a space where we explore the depths of spiritual growth, personal transformation, and the journey to align with our true essence. I’m Laurie Gunning Grossman, and in this season, I’m diving into The Freedom Transmissions chapter by chapter. If you’re seeking more peace, simplicity, balance, forgiveness, and freedom in your life, you’re in the right place.

In this episode, we take a break from the book study to continue my conversation with the incredible Carissa Schumacher. Carissa is a renowned forensic psychic medium, spiritual guide, and channel for Yeshua (Christ Consciousness). Her book The Freedom Transmissions is a series of profound transmissions she received from Yeshua, offering transformative spiritual wisdom. If you haven’t listened to part one yet, I encourage you to pause this and dive into that episode for a deeper understanding of the book’s essence.

In this discussion, Carissa and I explore the phenomenon where certain passages in The Freedom Transmissions feel entirely new upon rereading, as if we’re seeing them for the first time. She shares how our consciousness evolves as we read, and why we might feel like we’re going backwards in our spiritual growth—when, in fact, it’s part of the alchemical process of personal transformation.

We also touch on the concept of the new era we are entering and how Yeshua’s teachings guide us through co-creating with the divine in our daily lives. One of the most beautiful aspects of this conversation is how we can walk a spiritual path while still holding space for our human desires and needs—without guilt or shame.

Carissa also humorously addresses why Yeshua speaks with a British accent when she channels him, adding a bit of lightheartedness to this profound topic.

Episode Highlights:

* The non-linear nature of The Freedom Transmissions and how we experience new insights each time we revisit the text.

* How Yeshua’s teachings help us evolve not just mentally or spiritually, but through the alchemy of our essence.

* Exploring the balance between our human desires and spiritual growth and why having “wants” isn’t wrong.

* Insights into how we can communicate with the divine and co-create our reality with spiritual guidance.

* Carissa answers the burning question of why Yeshua has a British accent when she channels him.

Ep. 24: Carissa Schumacher: How to Find Peace and Hope at This Point in Time (Be the Moral, Not the Story)26 Feb 202400:11:36

If you’ve been listening to my podcast, you know that I recently spoke with Carissa Schumacher. Carissa is a Forensic Psychic Medium, an empathic intuitive, a Sacred Ceremony Facilitator and a full-body Channel for Yeshua, or Christ Consciousness. She’s also one of my spiritual teachers.

When we spoke in our original conversation, Episode 23, one topic we discussed was how do we find peace and hope at this point in time? What can help us right now as we move into a new era and a new cycle on our planet?

In case you haven’t heard that conversation yet, I want to share this excerpt with you because it feels important and necessary and expansive. As she says, "Be the moral, not the story."

Ep. 23: Carissa Schumacher: 5 Ways to Create Structures That Support Your Spirituality19 Feb 202400:23:38

For those on a spiritual growth path, or for those who are curious on how to cultivate this path, we often wonder how we can weave spirituality into our day-to-day lives. In a recent conversation on this podcast I asked my spiritual teacher Carissa Schumacher this question. I wanted to know: how can we hold the light and build it into a daily practice for ourselves? What structure is most conducive to opening our channel so that we can stay connected to our spirit and to the unseen? Especially when our lives can get consumed with a lot of doing, instead of simply being.

Carissa, who is an intuitive psychic, medium, channel for Yeshua (or Christ Consciousness), and co-creator of the book The Freedom Transmissions has several suggestions for what could be helpful. She says to take what serves you and leave the rest behind.

Something to keep in mind as you listen, Carissa mentions the vertical and the horizontal in this conversation. If you haven’t already listened to my full conversation with her on Episode 23 where she discusses this in detail, here are some crib notes: the vertical is our being or our consciousness – it’s that part of us that is Spirit inhabiting form.

And the horizontal is our human lives, our egos, our identity constructs, and the societal norms that are placed within that. It’s basically our day-to-day lives, based in the realm of the doing.

To listen to my full conversation with Carissa Schumacher – which of course I highly recommend – visit the show notes or find Episode 23 here on Hold the Light podcast.

Ep. 22: Carissa Schumacher: Yeshua, Creating Sacred Spaces, and Holding the Light12 Feb 202401:20:01

Carissa Schumacher is a world-renowned Forensic Psychic Medium, an empathic intuitive, a Sacred Ceremony Facilitator and a full-body Channel for Yeshua.

Carissa is a facilitator who is willing to walk the walk. She has an incredible gift as a channel – and it does seem otherworldly – she embraces her human self and shares that with us. There is a lot of laughter and joy in her presence.

So, while this episode is longer than usual, there is so much goodness shared here. I know that many of you listening are cautiously curious about The Freedom Transmissions and Carissa’s work. So keep an open mind and an open heart. This work is Universal… there’s something for everyone.

Here we talk about what it means to hold the light; Carissa offers context and definition to Yeshua, as well as the vertical and the horizontal; she shares how people can create a daily structure to help them connect, or stay connected to their spiritual selves; and we cover so much more. There is great wisdom in this conversation.

Ep. 20: Dre Bendewald of The Art of Circling: How Magic Happens When Women Gather29 Jan 202400:57:07

Today on the show I’m talking with Dre Bendewald, the founder and facilitator of The Art of Circling.

The Art of Circling is a group mindfulness practice that uses ancient ritual in a modern setting. Through sharing stories, deep listening and meditation, The Art of Circling empowers people, strengthens communities, and heals and transforms lives. Dre, who is a certified council carrier from the Ojai Foundation in Ways of Council, has made it her life long mission to share these circles with as many women as possible around the world as a way to bring peace, harmony, and divine balance.

We talk about the synchronicity of how we met; we talk about guidance, gratitude, and how we are always connected; we talk about a book that has deep meaning for us both, The Freedom Transmissions; and of course we talk about the art of circling. If you’re curious about what a circle is or what happens within a circle, you’ll want to hear Dre’s wisdom and stories in this conversation. And then, I suspect you’ll want to try one.

Also, at the top of this conversation, you’ll hear us talk a bit about one of our shared teachers, Carissa Schumacher.

Ep. 19: Kimo Kepano, Hawaiian High Seer: On Soul Color & How to Raise Our Vibration22 Jan 202400:38:56

Today on the show I’m talking with Kimo Kepano, a Hawaiian High Seer who works as a multi-sensory energy healer, spiritual psychic medium, and educator.

Education is a big part of Kimo and how he shares his gifts, and one of his goals is to teach individuals how to become their own version of a Seer.

This is my third time talking with Kimo on a podcast – however it’s the first time here on Hold the Light, and I was thrilled to be back in conversation with him. He is such a light holder.

In this conversation, we talk about how we each have a soul color, and how knowing the color of our soul – and what that color means – can help us to expand. Kimo also shares what to do when our soul falls out of alignment – he explains more about this; how we can each learn how to raise our own vibration; and he shares many wonderful stories around energy and how we can consciously work with it. It’s fascinating!

Ep. 15: Do This ONE Thing and You Will Know How to Live02 Oct 202300:06:01

In this episode, I talk about the importance of self-trust – and how it’s crucial for living an authentic life. I look at the value of silence and stillness as a way to connect with one's inner voice and intuition, in addition to the power of making and keeping commitments to oneself to strengthen the self-trust muscle. Ultimately, this is about encouraging us all to define our own identities and make choices autonomously.

Highlights:

  • How external voices and societal pressures often lead us to abandon our inner truths to fit in and feel safe.
  • Building self-trust involves committing to actions that align with one's authentic self, such as daily routines and meditation.
  • I share my experience of successfully completing a meditation program, which reinforced my self-trust.
  • How making and keeping commitments to ourselves strengthens the self-trust muscle and gives meaning to our word.
  • How to define our identities, values, and boundaries, promoting authenticity and autonomy.
  • The need to trust others' choices regarding their lives, bodies, and beliefs is emphasized, fostering a culture of trust and respect.

This episode explores Part 2 of "The Freedom Transmissions" book, focusing on Transmission 1: "The Weaving of Spirit upon the Web of Life." The host discusses how we are all interconnected through the Web of Life, how to unstitch from imbalances, the importance of present moment awareness, and ways to raise our vibration to connect with our true essence.

Key Points Discussed:

* The concept of threading and stitching in our spiritual lives

* How our soul is woven into our physical body through DNA, chakras, and spirit

* Understanding the Web of Life and our interconnectedness

* How disconnection leads to imbalance and ego-driven behavior

* What we truly take with us after death: moments of connection, not material possessions

* How to identify what frequencies we're stitched to

* The process of unstitching from distortions and reweaving to our authentic selves

* Practical techniques for raising vibration and living in alignment

Quotes from the Episode:

Ep. 14: If You’re in a Time of Uncertainty or Facing a Void, Listen to This25 Sep 202300:12:01

In this episode, I focus on what to do when facing uncertainty, aka the unknown, aka the “Void.” My hope is to move us out of fear-based thinking and into embracing this time as an opportunity for personal and spiritual growth and creativity. I discuss the importance and value of choosing acceptance, courage, and curiosity when confronted with uncertainty, and then offer three key practices to navigate these challenging times: meditation, journaling, and connecting with something greater than oneself.

 ~ Laurie

EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Uncertainty is a common experience in life, whether due to career changes, personal transitions, or global concerns.
  • Embracing uncertainty can lead to increased aliveness, alertness, and creativity.
  • The concept of the "Void" represents a period of change and transformation, where old expectations and assumptions are leveled to make space for new possibilities.
  • Resisting or rushing through the Void can prolong the period of uncertainty and turmoil.
  • Meditation serves as a grounding practice to connect with one's inner power and reduce anxiety.
  • Journaling, specifically the practice of "Morning Pages," can help release thoughts, fears, and concerns.
  • Believing in something greater than oneself, whether it's termed as Source, the Universe, or a spiritual connection, provides support and comfort during uncertain times.
  • Trusting in the unseen and embracing the potential for positive change within the Void can lead to a more hopeful and creative outlook on life's uncertainties.

“You’re not a Light-worker. You are a Light-holder or Light-anchor. Through your movement to deeper Balance and Peace, you hold the Light, inspire, and liberate others to move deeper into their own.” –  The Freedom Transmissions

In this episode, I reflect on the inspiration behind this show: Hold the Light.

It’s written by Yeshua (yes, that one) as channeled by renowned psychic medium and channeler Carissa Schumacher, and has been a profound source of wisdom and transformation. I feel as though it offers insights into deepening one's spiritual journey, finding authenticity, and embracing peace, forgiveness, and freedom. And so, I’m sharing more about it in this episode. Come join me.

 ~ Laurie

Ep. 11: Lisa Haukom: Discovering Self-Compassion and Acceptance Through Self-Portrait Photography04 Sep 202300:34:03

In this episode I’m talking with Lisa Haukom, photographer and founder of The Goldenbrand. Lisa is also the host of The Goldenbrand podcast, and runs her own membership community called the Self Portrait Studio.

I’ve been so inspired by Lisa and her work, and how she shows up to help guide and support people through the power of photography. One aspect of her work is in helping women learn how to love, heal, and accept themselves through the art of self-portrait photography. She does this through the membership community I mentioned above called the Self Portrait Studio.

Lisa also provides transition-affirming photography sessions to young members of the transgender community. We talk about all of these things in our conversation, including her personal reason for how and why she got into this work; what she discovered when she went down the neuroscience rabbit hole regarding how we see ourselves in photographs, and why we may not accept what we see (this is really interesting – you’ll want to hear what she says); and she shares her personal connection to why she works with people in the transgender community.

Ep. 9: Psychic Medium Natalie Miles: How Embracing Death and Endings Will Help Us Live Better21 Aug 202300:34:34

In this episode, I’m talking with Natalie Miles, a psychic medium, writer, and host of the podcast, “Things That Die.”

The conversations that Natalie is currently focused on are about breaking the taboo around the subject of death and endings that we face in our lives.

While on the surface, it may sound heavy, the way that Natalie presents it has a lightness to it. Because endings, as we know, are also beginnings. And when talking about death, it’s not just about the physical – it’s also about life transitions – when one door closes and a new door opens. We can’t have one without the other.

As Natalie says, it’s in the collective right now: lots of us are experiencing big death and endings. Big transitions. And she believes it’s important that we talk about this.

I think you’ll love this conversation – I certainly did. It’s another way for us to gain clarity on how we want to live fully and authentically.

How to Use Affirmations to Elevate and Expand Your Life14 Aug 202300:08:26

Learn about the power of mantras and affirmations as tools for manifestation. Mantras are repeated words or sounds, often in meditation, while affirmations are positive statements that reshape beliefs and encourage change.

Mantras and affirmations can reshape our subconscious, foster positive thoughts and replace self-limiting beliefs, ultimately empowering us for a more expansive and joyful life.

In this Hold the Light episode I share practical ways to leverage these techniques, including personalized recordings, sticky notes, phone widgets, and alarms.

And if mantras and affirmations don’t feel right for you, I offer some alternative tricks that might feel more authentic and aligned.

Episode Highlights:

  • Mantras and affirmations are interconnected tools used in the manifestation process, helping individuals achieve desired outcomes.
  • Mantras involve repeating words or sounds, often used in meditation or visualizations to reprogram the subconscious mind.
  • Affirmations are positive statements that uplift and encourage, helping change old beliefs and thought patterns.
  • Roxie Nafousi, a manifesting expert, emphasizes using mantras to send positive messages to the subconscious, replacing negative thoughts and self-limiting beliefs.
  • The goal of using these techniques is to empower individuals, enabling them to live more expansive and joyful lives.
  • An alternative approach is using "What if..." or "Wouldn't It Be Nice If..." questions, combining clear intentions with elevated emotions, shifting focus from past to future.
  • The importance of feeling empowered, abundant, and grateful is a key aspect for creating the life one desires.
  • Various practical ways to use mantras and affirmations, such as personalized recordings, sticky notes, phone widgets, screensavers, and setting alarms with affirmations as labels.
  • Results may take time – focus on the desired feelings rather than worrying about the how.

Ep. 8: Alexandra Cole on How to Use Human Design for Transformation & Growth07 Aug 202300:43:48

Did you know that you were born with your own unique energy blueprint? This is called your Human Design. On today's episode, Human Design Coach Alexandra Cole is here to walk us through it.

As Alexandra explains, Human Design is a self-awareness tool that gives us an energetic blueprint – based on the positions of planets at the time of our birth – and shows us how to work, play, communicate, make decisions, and connect in a way that is most supportive for our authentic selves. Alexandra says that when we are living in alignment with our unique blueprint, we are able to use our energy effectively, leading to a sense of ease and effortlessness in our life.

In the first half of this conversation, Alexandra explains the five different energy types – and then we get into some real life examples on how people have used their human design to make transformations in their life, one of the examples is specifically around career transitions.

Before you listen, take the quiz to find out your unique Human Design. Find out which energy type you are: Generator, Manifesting Generator, Manifestor, Projector, or Reflector.

Go to Myhumanddesign.com and click on Get My Chart. There you’ll fill out your birth info: your day, time of birth, and where you’re born. If you don’t know the exact time you were born, Alexandra’s suggests that you pick noon on that day, however she explains more about this towards the end of this episode. It’s also fun and helpful to find out the energy types of people in your life.

“The most important words you’ll ever hear in your entire life are the words you say to yourself.” —  Marisa Peer

In today’s episode, I’m talking about 21 rules of the mind, according to renowned hypnotherapist and best-selling author Marisa Peer.

Marisa is known for her innovative program, Rapid Transformational Therapy, which combines cognitive behavioral therapy, hypnotherapy, and mindfulness techniques to help people reframe negative beliefs that are buried in their subconscious. It’s fascinating!

Anyone who is interested in personal development, growth, and transformation will appreciate Marisa’s work! Her insights are so valuable for unlocking our true potential. You are what you think!

  • To achieve desired outcomes, Marisa suggests associating massive pleasure with our goals and aspirations, using empowering language to transform negative emotions into positive ones.

  • The 21 rules of the mind, according to Marisa Peer.

Ep. 5: The Chambers of the Sacred Heart (The Freedom Transmissions)26 Oct 202400:17:02

Episode Summary: The Chambers of the Sacred Heart (Pages 67-76)

In this episode, we move into learning about the Sacred Heart—the final chapter in The Sacred Heart Transmissions section of The Freedom Transmissions.

Understanding the Sacred Heart is essential because it is the gateway that connects us to our divine self. It is the foundation for embodying greater peace, balance, and freedom in our lives.

Today, we’ll explore:

* What the Sacred Heart is

* The four chambers that comprise it

* The energies of Simplicity, Stability, Surrender, and Stillness

* How we can connect with these energies to embody peace

This is The Chambers of the Sacred Heart.

The Sacred Heart: The Gateway to Peace

We engage with The Freedom Transmissions because it provides a pathway to peace—helping us transcend struggles, integrate light and shadow, and move into our true essence.

As we read in the book, “You did not come to the world for situational Peace.” Peace is not dependent on external circumstances. It is an internal state that we cultivate through faith, presence, and alignment with Divine Will.

To quote from page 68: “When you illuminate within your Faith, and there is that level of connection and communion, We [meaning the Divine] can speak to you and through you… No longer do your imbalances set off a chain of burdens for you and others. No longer are you as triggered by others’ imbalances… That restores Peace and ends your self-imposed sentence of suffering.”

What is the Sacred Heart?

The Sacred Heart is not the physical heart. It is the center of our being, connecting us to the Divine, Gaia, and the entire web of life.

It is “the intersection of the dreaming and dreamer, creation and creator, subconscious and conscious, seen and unseen.”

Within the Sacred Heart, four energies—known as The Four Chambers—form its structure:

* Simplicity

* Stability

* Surrender

* Stillness

These energies are essential for embodying peace. When we integrate them, we come into balance and freedom.

Yet, in our modern world—where complexity, control, external validation, and noise are prioritized—these energies are often neglected. This disconnection keeps us in chaos and suffering.

The good news? These four energies already exist within us. They are our true nature. Our role is to illuminate and embody them.

As the teachings state: “If all be-ings in human bodies on your planet, or even just a handful more of you, focused daily on streaming and weaving these energies into your heart, body, mind, choices, and behaviors, there would be far fewer problems and burdens for you all to carry.”

Let’s explore the Four Chambers of the Sacred Heart.

The Four Chambers of the Sacred Heart

1. Simplicity

Simplicity is one of the most central aspects of Peace… It is letting go of all that feels burdensome and disturbing to your Peace.

How to connect with Simplicity:

* What areas of my life feel chaotic and complicated?

* Am I willing to participate in the process of simplifying my life?

* What habits, commitments, or distractions are pulling me away from Peace?

2. Stability

We need stability to embody the Divine fully. This means creating foundations in our lives that support our highest good.

How to connect with Stability:

* What feels unstable in my life?

* What aspects of my life are unsustainable?

* Am I willing to participate in the process of creating stability—through finances, relationships, boundaries, and daily practices?

3. Surrender

True surrender is not selective—it is a complete offering of control to the Divine.

Surrender is a state of be-ing rooted in humility, discipline, integrity, and devotion… It requires effort, but never in a way that creates more burdens.

How to connect with Surrender:

* Where in my life do I resist surrender?

* What do I fear surrendering, and why?

* Where do I try to force or control outcomes? Can I release my grip and trust?

4. Stillness

Stillness is the most nourishing of the four energies. It is the gateway to Divine Grace—where we hear, receive, and embody peace.

How to connect with Stillness:

* What areas of my life lack Stillness?

* What fears arise when I sit in Stillness?

* What distractions do I use to avoid Stillness?

* Am I willing to create time for Stillness, even if it means reducing external noise, setting boundaries, or committing to a daily meditation practice?

Integrating the Sacred Heart

By prioritizing Simplicity, Stability, Surrender, and Stillness, we restore balance and deepen our connection to the Divine.

As we embody these energies, we draw more peace, joy, and clarity into our lives.

Final reflection: “Your sacred heart is the gateway that connects you to your Yeshua Self. You were designed for Simplicity of realization, Stability of foundation, Surrender in transformation, and Stillness in invocation.”

Ep. 5: Hospice Nurse Julie on How to Embrace the Sacredness of Death17 Jul 202300:33:54

In this episode, I’m talking with Julie McFadden, aka Hospice Nurse Julie.

Julie, who has millions of followers across her social channels, is a certified hospice nurse and says that her mission is to help dying people and their loved ones understand the process of dying. Her passion is to educate people in order to alleviate the fear and stigma around death.

As she says, the more we talk about it, the less we’ll fear it – and the less we fear it, the better we'll live and the more peaceful we'll die. I love my conversation with Julie because even though she comes from the medical world and believes in science, she shares some spiritual stories that can't quite be explained and are so beautiful.

As she says, there is sacredness in dying – that witnessing those final moments of someone's life can be incredibly profound and even spiritual – and understanding the end of life can help us all live more present lives. ~ Laurie

Episode Highlights:

-The difference between hospice and palliative care.

-The importance of education in reducing fear and opening up conversations about death.

-Julie delves into the sacredness of the dying process, including the spiritual and sacred feeling in the room when someone takes their last breath.

-Common themes that arise in end-of-life conversations, including regrets.

-The phenomenon of "visioning" that occurs close to death.

-Julie’s personal experiences have deepened belief in the afterlife and the existence of higher powers.

-Julie’s valuable lessons she’s learned about living through working with the dying.

Ep. 4: How to Transform Your Life Through the Power of Regrets10 Jul 202300:08:22

In this episode, I focus on how we can transform our life through the power of regrets, according to Dan Pink.

I look at the work by Daniel H. Pink, author of "The Power of Regrets: How Looking Backward Moves Us Forward," who emphasizes that regrets are a fundamental part of the human experience and can be leveraged to make smarter decisions, perform better, and find meaning and purpose. Pink's research includes insights from the World Regret Survey, revealing common regrets related to relationships, missed opportunities, and personal growth.

There is an opportunity for us to address our regrets as a way for greater self-compassion, learning, and personal growth – thus a more fulfilling future.    ~ Laurie

Episode Highlights:

  • Daniel H. Pink highlights that regrets are often misunderstood but can be transformative in our lives.
  • Regrets are a universal part of the human experience, and Pink collected regrets from people worldwide through the World Regret Survey.
  • Four core categories of regrets are identified: Foundation Regrets, Boldness Regrets, Moral Regrets, and Connection Regrets.
  • Regrets of inaction outnumber regrets of action, and they tend to increase as people age, representing missed opportunities.
  • To leverage regrets positively, Pink suggests a three-part strategy: looking inward, practicing self-compassion, looking outward, practicing disclosure, and moving forward by finding lessons in regrets.
  • It's important to remove shame around regrets and take action on things within our control.
  • By acting today, we can avoid future regrets and embark on a journey toward a more fulfilling life.

Ep. 3: How Tuning Forks Can Teach Us About Our Personal & Spiritual Growth03 Jul 202300:08:16

In this episode I’m talking about tuning forks and how they relate to each of us and our personal energy.

Just like a tuning fork, I look at the idea that the vibrations and frequencies we emit can impact various areas of our lives, including our career, love life, friendships, and personal development. And I talk about the phenomenon of sympathetic resonance, illustrated by tuning forks, and how it’s a great  example in explaining how vibrations can induce resonance and amplify effects within all of us – or cancel out our vibration. It shows the importance of being mindful of how we spend our time, who we surround ourselves with, and the content we consume, as these factors can influence our energy and ultimately shape our lives. It’s time we all consider ourselves akin to tuning forks and reflect on what or who we are tuning into.

Episode Highlights

  • Intention appears to be something similar to a tuning fork, causing the tuning forks of other things in the universe to resonate at the same frequency.
  • Vibration and frequencies can affect various aspects of your life, such as career, love life, friendships, and personal development, and spiritual growth.
  • Sympathetic resonance is a harmonic phenomenon induced by resonance, often observed in music and vibrations.
  • Tuning forks, two-pronged forks used for tuning instruments, resonate at specific pitches when struck.
  • When two tuning forks with similar pitches are placed near each other, striking one will cause the other to vibrate without direct contact.
  • The vibration and resonance occur through matching frequencies, amplifying their effect.
  • Our lives are interconnected with energy, and changing our energy can change our lives, as stated by Dr. Joe Dispenza.
  • To change our energy, we need to change our thoughts, feelings, and electromagnetic field.
  • Being conscious of how we spend our time, who we spend it with, and what we consume matters.
  • Similar to tuning forks, we need to be aware of what or who we are tuning into.

Ep. 2: How We Can Find Meaning, Purpose, and Joy Through Our Awakened Brain30 Jun 202300:10:42

In this episode, I delve into the work by Dr. Lisa Miller, author of “The Awakened Brain,” and her discovery that spirituality is not external but intrinsic to all individuals. As she says, spirituality is hardwired into our neural circuitry, with genetics accounting for 29% of our capacity for spirituality. (!) I talk about how Dr. Miller discovered that cultivating a robust spiritual life and engaging our awakened brain can lead to various benefits, such as mental well-being, connection, compassion, and personal growth.

And I suggest five practices that I feel can reinforce our awakened brain: meditation, cultivating meaningful relationships, self-reflection, spending time in nature, and practicing gratitude. ~ Laurie

Episode Highlights:

  • Understanding dysthymia as explained by Dr. Lisa Miller in her book "The Awakened Brain,” and the feelings of emptiness, disillusionment, and unfulfillment that many people experience in life.
  • Dr. Miller's groundbreaking idea that spirituality is inherent within us and not external.
  • We explore Dr. Miller's research on spirituality and mental health through her MRI studies, genetic research, and epidemiology.
  • The discovery that 29% of our capacity for spirituality is heritable, while 71% is influenced by our environment.
  • The MRI findings that show the “high-spiritual brain was healthier and more robust than the low-spiritual brain. And the high-spiritual brain was thicker and stronger in exactly the same regions that weaken and wither in depressed brains.”
  • How an awakened brain can protect against mental suffering, enhance well-being, and foster connection.
  • The positive psychological benefits, such as resilience, optimism, and creativity.
  • Five actionable steps we can all do to reinforce an awakened brain.

Ep. 4: The Three Veils and Seven Imbalances of the Mind, Part 2 (The Freedom Transmissions)19 Oct 202400:14:48

Episode Summary: The Three Veils and Seven Imbalances of the Mind, Part 2 (Pages 60-66)

In this episode, we are discussing The Three Veils, found in The Freedom Transmissions chapter The Three Veils and Seven Imbalances of the Mind. If you haven’t yet listened to the last episode on the Seven Imbalances of the Mind, be sure to go back and start there.

Understanding the Three Veils is essential, as they provide deeper insight into the origins of the Seven Imbalances. When we know how these distortions developed, we gain clarity on how to restore balance and move toward freedom.

This is The Three Veils.

The Three Veils: The Root of Separation

As we learned, the Seven Imbalances are distorted lenses of perception—false beliefs about who we are. They are illusions of separation from the Divine.

The Three Veils represent this separation, and they create the distorted lenses through which we experience reality.

For some, these Veils are thick, keeping them deeply unconscious. For others, who are integrating light and shadow into balance, the Veils are nearly transparent.

By understanding the Three Veils, we can begin lifting them, allowing for clarity and deeper peace.

The Three Veils

1. The Veil of Separation

This Veil is the root of the belief that we are separate from the Divine, creating a deep sense of isolation, shame, and fear.

How it expresses itself:

* Feeling unworthy of love or connection

* Experiencing deep shame, guilt, and self-judgment

* Isolating from others or suffering in silence

* Fear of rejection and failure

How to begin lifting this Veil:

* Trust in the unseen. Shift focus from what is visible and external to the deeper truth of connection.

* Engage in practices that strengthen your faith. Meditate, journal, and commune with nature.

* Release limiting beliefs about who you are supposed to be.

When this Veil lifts: You begin to feel and know yourself as One—not as someone separate, but Some of the One.

2. The Veil of Polarity

This Veil leads to perceiving reality in extremes—black and white, good and bad, right and wrong. It prevents us from embracing the complexity and balance of existence.

How it expresses itself:

* Emotional swings between joy and despair

* Defensiveness, judgment, and blame

* Seeking conflict or dangerous situations

* Being trapped in an “us vs. them” mindset

How to begin lifting this Veil:

* Embrace duality. Recognize that both light and shadow are essential for balance.

* Practice witnessing rather than reacting. Observe without immediate judgment.

* Synchronize with natural rhythms. Honor cycles of creation and destruction, expansion and contraction.

When this Veil lifts: You can hold space for both light and shadow without polarization. You begin to experience the full spectrum of reality without judgment.

3. The Veil of Complacency

This Veil keeps us stagnant, avoiding truth and resisting change. It’s the illusion that staying the same is safer than evolving.

How it expresses itself:

* Resistance to change, even when the heart longs for transformation

* Feelings of boredom, stuckness, and malaise

* Fear-based procrastination—waiting until suffering forces a shift

* Rigid beliefs that prevent growth

How to begin lifting this Veil:

* Be open to new perspectives. Let go of attachment to what you think you know.

* Take conscious action. Growth requires participation—step into your transformation.

* Honor both creation and destruction. Change is part of the natural flow of life.

When this Veil lifts: You reclaim your sovereignty and step into your full creative power. You take charge of your transformation and align with Divine Will.

Moving Toward Balance and Clarity

Lifting the Veils is about choosing faith over fear. The more we dissolve these illusions, the more we realign with truth, peace, and love.

Reflection:

* Which of the Three Veils do you feel most present in your life?

* What is one step you can take to begin dissolving it?

Next Steps: Read & Listen

📝 Do the writing homework on page 66 in the book, or at the end of the audiobook chapter. This is an important exercise—don’t skip it! It will guide you in reflecting on which imbalances feel strongest in you right now and how the Veils interact with them.

Ep. 3: The Three Veils and Seven Imbalances of the Mind, Part 1 (The Freedom Transmissions)12 Oct 202400:32:01

Episode Summary: The Three Veils and Seven Imbalances of the Mind, Part 1 (Pages 34-60)

I’ve decided to break up this chapter from The Freedom Transmissions into two different episodes because of the depth of the content. This chapter is fundamental to understanding how we keep ourselves in density—what holds us back from living in our true essence, our peace, and our divine nature.

Before we move forward with the other transmissions in this book, we need to start here. The good news? This chapter also offers ways to move from density into greater freedom.

In this episode, we are discussing the Seven Imbalances of the Mind, as found on pages 34-60. The next episode will focus on The Three Veils.

As we’ve discussed in prior episodes, The Freedom Transmissions is a pathway to peace. It’s a journey to free ourselves from our personal burdens so that we can step into greater balance, joy, fearless faith, non-resistance, and love.

One of the key messages in this chapter is that when we learn to release our imbalances, we will know freedom and what it means to live clear-hearted.

This is The Seven Imbalances of the Mind.

The Origin of the Imbalances

Before diving into the Seven Imbalances, it’s helpful to understand where they come from.

We learn that at the moment of our soul’s inception, we were created in Balance, because we are of the One—the Divine, Spirit, Infinite Intelligence. We were designed in harmony.

However, we were also seeded with consciousness, which led to self-awareness. And with self-awareness came choice.

This is where free will enters: the choice to align with Divine Will or to create our own fragmented perception of self and reality.

The Seven Imbalances of the Mind were not created by the Divine but by us, through fear-based thinking and illusions of separation.

These imbalances distort our perception, keeping us disconnected from peace.

The Seven Imbalances of the Mind

Each imbalance is an error in perception—a way we miss the mark in choosing love over fear.

Here’s an overview:

* The Perception of Darkness or Separation

* Feeling separate from the Divine and others

* Expressed through guilt, shame, self-criticism, victimhood, and isolation

* Transcendence: Reaching for something greater—immersing in nature, serving others, and practicing self-compassion

* Tyrannical Desire and Greed

* Driven by dominance, power, and lack of integrity

* Expressed through control, entitlement, emotional manipulation, and lack of empathy

* Transcendence: Releasing control, serving without personal gain, restoring integrity, and embracing humility

* Ignorance, Denial, or Complacency

* Avoidance of truth, resistance to change, procrastination

* Expressed through addiction, procrastination, abdication of responsibility, and apathy

* Transcendence: Facing discomfort, embracing personal accountability, and stepping into action

* Excitement Over Death or Endings

* Fear of the unknown, fixation on destruction

* Expressed through paranoia, obsession with mortality, or reckless behavior

* Transcendence: Reconnecting to life, faith in the eternal nature of the soul, and embracing joy

* Imbalance of Human Want and Lust (Desires of the Flesh)

* Preoccupation with external image and validation

* Expressed through materialism, addictive behaviors, and fear of rejection

* Transcendence: Simplicity, refining wants versus needs, and remembering self-worth beyond external validation

* Foolish Wisdom or Not Aligning with Divine Will

* Elitism, arrogance, assumption of moral or intellectual superiority

* Expressed through rigid beliefs, judgment, and forcing opinions onto others

* Transcendence: Deep humility, openness to learning, and aligning personal will with Divine Will

* Wrathful Wisdom or Judgment

* Rooted in fear and separation, leading to anger, rage, and retaliation

* Expressed through acts of harm, violence, or self-destruction

* Transcendence: Reconnection to nature, patience, gratitude, and the power of love

Moving Toward Balance and Peace

Becoming conscious of these imbalances is the first step toward transformation. Through self-awareness and surrender, we begin to dissolve these distortions and return to our true essence.

When we align our will with Divine Will, we move closer to peace.

Reflection:Which imbalances resonate with you? How can you begin the process of healing and realignment?

Next Steps: Read & Listen

📿 Meditate on this:Take time alone, light a candle, breathe, and ask the Divine to help you perceive a troubling situation differently. Listen. Write down what you hear. Trust the messages of love.

📖 Read: The Three Veils and Seven Imbalances of the Mind (Pages 60-66) 👉🏻 Do the writing exercise on page 66—this is important for integration!

🎧 Listen: The Three Veils and Seven Imbalances of the Mind (Audiobook, second part) from 27:00 to the end of the chapter. Focus on The Three Veils.

Ep. 2: I AM Yeshua (The Freedom Transmissions)05 Oct 202400:12:05

Episode Summary: Who Is Yeshua? (Pages 23-33)

In this chapter, Yeshua introduces Himself and sets the foundation for what we can expect as we move through The Freedom Transmissions.

So, who is Yeshua?

Yeshua, as He explains, is Peace—our peace, the very essence of our Be-ing. When we choose peace, we choose our true selves.

Through these transmissions, meditations, and prayers, we will make more room for our true selves by dismantling the illusion self—the part of us shaped by societal expectations, fear, and complexity. As we do this, we will move deeper into balance, faith, forgiveness, and freedom.

One of the most powerful insights from this chapter? You don’t need to believe in Yeshua, have faith in Him, or even fully understand Him to receive His grace. His grace flows through you regardless of belief because you are not separate from Him. You are Him, and He is you.

This is the co-creation. The ever-present connection. The we are never alone reminder.

By finding yourself here, engaging with these teachings, you are answering a call—one that takes courage. Yeshua tells us: If you are here, you are among the pioneers ushering in an Era of Balance, Transparency, and Peace.

The Path to Peace and Balance

Many of us desire peace, yet struggle to find it. Yeshua gives us this wisdom:

“Lower the bar on the cross that keeps you suspended in disappointment, imbalance, and regret. Stop raising the bar in favor of more, more, more—more money, more attention, more fillers, more ‘followers,’ more seeking.”

If we reach for balance rather than constantly striving for more, we will experience deeper freedom and peace. Instead of constantly becoming, we are invited to come to BE.

True peace comes from knowing that we are already enough—no more, no less.

Can you remember a time when you truly felt like you were enough? That nothing needed to be fixed, improved, or achieved?

Yeshua reminds us that the world doesn’t need our striving—it needs our Presence. Not what we do, or how hard we work, but our ability to fully be. And that requires deep responsibility—not just to ourselves, but to the whole.

This is a call to shift from me to we. To live from a balanced heart instead of a restless mind. And to get there, we must commit to this journey.

The Call of the Soul and Spirit

This book is about dismantling the illusion self and reconnecting with the essence of who we are.

I love this quote from the chapter:

“The call of the Second Coming, the coming Home to your true essence, may have begun as a quiet voice in the background—your intuition saying ‘slow down,’ ‘reduce commitments,’ ‘use discernment,’ ‘this is not sustainable,’ ‘I am not happy.’ But often the voice is suppressed through the clamor of the mind and all of the external expectations and responsibilities you face as a human be-ing. Yet, the voice will not disappear. And now, as a matter of fact, it has grown louder. For your soul wishes to be suppressed no longer.”

Your soul wishes to be suppressed no longer.

What is your soul asking for? What quiet voice has been whispering inside you, waiting to be heard?

This is the call of the soul—the Seed of Consciousness within us. And the call of spirit—the force that extends from our soul, connecting us to the world around us.

This is our inner guidance calling us home to ourselves.

What to Expect on This Journey

As we move through this book, Yeshua prepares us for change.

Things in your life may shift. Some things may be lifted, moved, or removed altogether. This can feel unsettling, but Spirit is always working for us, even when we don’t yet understand the path.

To move through this journey, we are invited to bring surrender—to release control and trust the unfolding.

“The more you surrender to what you cannot control or understand and reach for the strength of the Light within you, the more you will see, hear, and realize the wonder of the Pathway to Peace unfurling.”

Surrender does not mean passivity—it means choosing fearless faith and non-resistance. It means trusting that what is shifting is doing so for your highest good.

We will learn how to create peace in our minds, hearts, and spirits regardless of external influences—family, work, relationships, or circumstances.

Until we create oneness within, we cannot create it outside of us.

A Path to Peace or a Path to Struggle?

Yeshua asks us:

“Do you want to be on a path to and of peace? Or do you want to stay in the struggle you feel internally that keeps you feeling separate and at war with the external world?”

If you feel discomfort or fear as you begin this journey, that is natural.

Yeshua reminds us:

“You are evolving rapidly, and the only thing holding you back is fear. Fear of loss of control.”

But He is here to walk with us—to hold the Light as we move through doubts and fears, with support and love.

We will be making more room for our true selves by dismantling the illusion self and all the imbalances it creates. This is where our work begins.

“I will hold your hand through this process and you will hold Mine.”

This journey is not just about personal transformation—it is about service to others. As we move deeper into peace, we light the way for others to do the same.

“You are not a Light-worker. You are a Light-holder or Light-anchor. Through your movement to deeper Balance and Peace, you hold the Light, inspire, and liberate others to move deeper into their own. That is the service of your Yeshua self.”

Key Takeaway

We are being invited into a deeper connection with peace, balance, and authenticity. The journey begins with surrender, trust, and allowing ourselves to be.

Reflection:How can you begin to listen to the quiet voice within? What is your soul asking for that it can no longer suppress?

Ep. 1: Introduction (The Freedom Transmissions)28 Sep 202400:17:45

Episode Summary: Introduction to The Freedom Transmissions (Pages 1-20)

Let me ask you a question: If I told you there’s a pathway that could help you move into greater peace, balance, simplicity, freedom, forgiveness, authenticity, and wholeness, what would you say?

You’d probably say, “I’m in!” or at least, “Tell me more.”

So many of us long for ways to cultivate more of these feelings in our lives. However, this isn’t about a quick tip or solution—it requires discipline and devotion. It calls for fearless faith, non-resistance, and love. It invites us to have a curious mind and an open heart.

This pathway helps us remember that we are connected to something greater than ourselves, whether we call that the Divine, Spirit, Infinite Intelligence, God, or something else. It reminds us that we are not alone, that we are not separate from the Divine—it is within us.

This pathway is called The Freedom Transmissions.

Welcome to my new series on Hold the Light, where I will be moving through The Freedom Transmissions chapter by chapter. If you’re here, whether out of curiosity or because you feel pulled toward this work, you are likely on your own path of spiritual growth, transformation, and the evolution of consciousness.

So, welcome. You are meant to be here. This is the Introduction.

What Is The Freedom Transmissions?

Think of The Freedom Transmissions as a pathway to peace.

The book is divided into two parts:

* Part One: The Sacred Heart Transmissions

* Part Two: The Freedom Transmissions, which consists of nine separate transmissions under this broader teaching.

These transmissions are offerings, teachings, and wisdom from Yeshua, as channeled by Carissa Schumacher. Yes, that Yeshua. Some refer to Yeshua as Jesus—but this is not Jesus the man. Think of Yeshua as Christ Consciousness.

So, who is Carissa? She is a forensic psychic medium, spiritual guide, and full-body channel for Yeshua. In 2019, she began receiving transmissions that became this book.

If you’d like to hear more about the creation of this book, listen to my conversations with Carissa in Episodes 33 and 34. I also share crib notes to these episodes on my Substack, Hold the Light with Laurie Gunning Grossman. Links are in the show notes.

Why This Series?

I first read The Freedom Transmissions in December 2021, shortly after its publication. I didn’t know much about it, but I was drawn to it. As I read, the words Hold the Light jumped out at me, and I knew I would one day create something around those words.

As I continued reading, I noticed an internal shift—a deeper peace, a stronger connection to my values, my authenticity, and a deeper awareness of something greater than myself.

In March 2023, I attended my first Sacred Spirit Illumination Journey with Carissa in Sedona, Arizona. It became clear that I was meant to create this podcast, Hold the Light, and later, this series on The Freedom Transmissions. Even now, I am still learning, still discovering, and still deepening my understanding of this work.

Because so many others are curious about The Freedom Transmissions, I thought: Let’s go through this together.

How to Approach This Book

Before we begin, here are some important things to keep in mind:

* This book moves fast. Stick with it. We won’t cover everything in one reading, and that’s okay.

* The Freedom Transmissions is not linear—it’s more like a meditation. There are words, and then there is the energy beneath the words.

* I first read the book linearly, front to back, but now I revisit chapters based on what I need at the moment. You can read it however you wish.

* If the name Yeshua doesn’t sit right with you, replace it with a name that does—Spirit, Infinite Intelligence, Love, Dear One, Grace—whatever resonates with you.

* This is not a religious book. It is not about ideology or dogma. Yeshua is not here to shift your beliefs—He is here to shift your consciousness and illuminate new possibilities.

* Read and listen. The audiobook offers resonance, vibrations, and activations through sound.

* Do the exercises. The writing prompts, meditations, and prayers ground and integrate this wisdom into your being.

* Keep an open mind. This book is here to meet you where you are.

What to Expect From This Journey

Through this book, you may experience:

* Greater peace, balance, and joy

* A deeper connection to your inner light

* A release of anxiety, fear, and old patterns

* Strengthening of faith, balance, and trust

* The surfacing of emotions—both light and shadow—as energy shifts within you

* An internal transformation that unfolds in its own time

As you move through this book, Yeshua will introduce new energies both to you and to the collective. This is not just a me experience; it is a we experience. Your light is needed.

Through these transmissions, Yeshua shows us how to step into our true selves—our most natural selves—rather than the illusion self shaped by fear and ego. This process requires curiosity, humility, acceptance, and surrender. If you are willing to embrace it, transformation will happen.

As Carissa says, The Freedom Transmissions is a peace offering.

Key Takeaway

This book is not about seeking perfection, but about moving toward authenticity and peace. It is an invitation to remember who you truly are—a light-holder in this world.

Reflection:How can you approach this journey with curiosity and openness? What resistance do you feel, and what would it take to release it?

Next Steps: Read & Listen

📖 Read: Carissa’s introduction, especially pages 16-19, where she shares final suggestions before you begin. And Chapter 1: I AM Yeshua (Pages 23-33)

🎧 Listen: Yeshua Meditation at the top of Chapter 1 (I AM Yeshua) from 00:18 through 33:55 in the audiobook.

Closing Thought:“…Yeshua provides us a Pathway to remember the Truth of what and who we really are: Love. Love in all of its different facets, faces, and emanations, shadow and Light. Regardless of beliefs, Yeshua shows us how to look beyond and within ourselves to rediscover the incredible Grace and Light we all hold. And the Miracles we are capable of through kindness, courage, compassion, and Love.”

Thanks for listening. Keep holding the light.

Book Study Questions 28 Dec 202400:08:34

In today’s episode, I want to offer some writing prompts based on the chapters we’ve covered so far in our book study series of The Freedom Transmissions.

Since there is a lot of information and wisdom offered within these transmissions, I thought it would be helpful to take a pause and take some time to reflect on what you’ve discovered, realized, or learned so far. Basically, to write about what revelations have been brought into the light for you. This is a way to help integrate and embody the wisdom offered in the book.

If you haven’t yet read some of those chapters yet and you’re going at your own pace, amazing. Just keep reading at whatever speed feels right to you. There’s no pressure and no rules.

For others who are up to date, take some time to answer the writing prompts I’m about to pose. When we write, pen to paper, it helps us to process and comprehend on a new level. This is something that I’ve been experiencing as I’ve been writing these podcast episodes.

Journal Prompt # 1

In the chapter, I AM Yeshua, we learn that we don’t have to believe in Yeshua or have faith in Him to receive His Grace. We learn that we are all inherently divine and worthy. Can you remember a time when you truly felt like you were “some of the One.” Write about that time.

Journal Prompt #2

Which of the seven imbalances is strongest for you right now? Identify it and write about the ways that it’s showing up for you in your life. And then write about what is the underlying energy beneath this imbalance? What fear-based stories are you telling yourself that keep you in this imbalance?

Journal Prompt #3

We’ve learned about the four chambers of the Sacred Heart: simplicity, stability, surrender, and stillness. These are four key energies to Peace, and it’s our gateway to divine connection. Which energy is most challenging for you to embody right now? And what could you do to help you embrace it and welcome it?

Journal Prompt #4

In the chapter The Thread and Stitching of the Dreaming, we learned that we’re energetically connected to everything and everyone – our connections exist beyond physical reality. And we learned that prior to going somewhere, our soul and spirit have already stitched us to the place and people there. This is the idea that our souls are already connected to future experiences and people before we meet them.

Looking back at a significant moment in your life, write about the invisible threads that you can now see in hindsight that were weaving your path to that experience.

Journal Prompt #5

We’ve talked about voids, both individual and collective voids, and how they are opportunities for growth, not spaces to fear. How we navigate them is a big part of our evolution.

Think about a time when you faced a personal Void—a period of uncertainty, change, or transition. Looking back, what did you learn about yourself during that time? And what transformation came from that experience?

Journal Prompt #6

We’ve learned that “What you belong to also belongs to you,” and how external seeking creates endless longing.

Think about what you’re stitched to right now in your life – do you want to belong to these people, places, things, belief-systems, and stories? If not, where will you focus first on letting something go that no longer serves you so that you can move deeper into your authenticity?

Journal Prompt #7

Reflect on areas where you might be suppressing your true self—through habits, fears, or external expectations. How can you cultivate Freedom over suppression, creating space for your authentic essence to emerge?

Where and how are you your own oppressor in your life?

Journal Prompt #8

In the book, we learn that we are “not just in life but OF life.” How can you consciously shift your focus to plant seeds that align with your higher self and the legacy you want to leave in the year, and years, ahead? What seeds do you want to plant?

Journal Prompt #9

And finally, what do you need to have Faith in right now?

Ep. 10: The Servitude of Longing (The Freedom Transmissions Series)21 Dec 202400:16:29

Episode Summary: The Servitude of Longing (Pages 149–161)

This chapter explores the energy of belonging and the spiritual implications of where we place our identity and sense of connection. At the core of this teaching is the statement: “What you belong to also belongs to you.”

We are invited to examine the difference between longing and true belonging, to explore how our ego-self can lead us into patterns of external seeking, and how our soul-self guides us into alignment with the Divine. Through conscious discernment and sacred choices, we can reclaim our spiritual sovereignty.

This is The Servitude of Longing.

Key Themes

* Ego vs. Soul Identity – The ego seeks validation and ownership; the soul seeks authenticity and service.

* Belonging vs. Longing – True belonging brings peace; longing keeps us bound to dissatisfaction and seeking.

* Discernment – Who and what we align with matters—branding, influence, and energy must be evaluated consciously.

* Ownership of Self – We’re asked to take spiritual responsibility for how we define and express ourselves.

The Ego’s Grip on Belonging

Our ego-self (or chaff-identity) is rooted in fear, form, and dissatisfaction. It craves power and validation from the outer world.

When we define our worth through this lens, we give over our inner authority to external systems. This creates a cycle of longing—never feeling fulfilled, always chasing the next thing.

On the other hand, our soul-self (or wheat-self) is anchored in simplicity, purpose, and truth. It honors its unique essence and serves from a place of joy.

To reclaim our soul-self, we must choose where and to whom we belong—with discernment.

Longing vs. True Belonging

* Belonging becomes distorted when it’s directed outward to structures, systems, and people not aligned with our essence.

* When we’re in a state of longing, we become susceptible to fear, victimhood, and control.

* True belonging is internal. It’s alignment with Spirit, humility, and peace.

* We are asked to be conscious of who we allow to define us.

The antidote to longing is belonging to God, to Grace, and to your whole self.

Branding, Influence, and Ownership

* Branding is a form of ownership—be cautious of the brands you follow and create.

* Some brands foster community and communion; others feed on fear and control.

* Be discerning about spaces that incite fear, division, or judgment. These are signs to step away.

"Let God be your CEO—your Chief Energy Officer."

We are reminded that influencing, in its distorted form, is a form of spiritual force. True influence is service rooted in authenticity, not power or popularity.

Influencers and Institutions

* Many influencers operate from ego and imbalance. Their charm may be seductive, but their intentions may not be aligned with truth.

* Even altruism can be used as a tool of control. Use discernment to choose what you follow.

* The Divine is not impressed by status or followers—it honors compassion, humility, and peace.

Ask yourself: Do I belong to this? Or am I owned by it?

Returning to Divine Belonging

The invitation is to:

* Unstitch from the illusion of external ownership.

* Choose to belong to simplicity, stillness, and truth.

* Step into structures of resonance that nourish your soul.

You are being asked to stop giving your spiritual power away. Reclaim your worth by aligning with the Divine.

Read The Discernment Prayer (Page 160)

This sacred prayer invokes sovereign authority, humility, and Grace. It is the Prayer that sets you Free.

Use this prayer as a guide whenever you feel uncertain, unclear, or in need of spiritual clarity.

Key Takeaways

* What you belong to also belongs to you—choose wisely.

* Longing is rooted in fear; belonging is rooted in love.

* Be cautious of branding, influence, and outer definitions of worth.

* Your spiritual sovereignty is your responsibility.

* The Divine invites you to belong—not to systems, but to your soul.

Next Steps: Read & Listen

Ep. 9: Sacred Seeds (The Freedom Transmissions Series)13 Dec 202400:16:54

Episode Summary: Sacred Seeds (Pages 124–145)

The message of this chapter is clear: You reap what you sow. In Sacred Seeds, we’re invited to reflect deeply on how our thoughts, words, and actions plant seeds into the void—and how those seeds shape our future and the collective reality. Through the lenses of Faith, Forgiveness, and Freedom, we are asked to consider how we will move forward from this moment on.

This teaching encourages us to become more aware—not perfect—of what we’re stitching to and what we’re choosing to sow. It’s a timely invitation as we transition from the Old Era to the New. We’ve been preparing for this time across lifetimes. Now, we’re being called to participate consciously.

This is Sacred Seeds.

Key Themes

* You Reap What You Sow – Everything you plant—whether in fear or in love—creates ripples and returns.

* The Power of Voids – Learning to navigate periods of transition, chaos, and unknown with courage and humility.

* Faith, Forgiveness, Freedom – The three foundational energies of the New Era.

* Personal Responsibility – Being accountable for your vibration, thoughts, and impact on the collective.

* Liberation Through Conscious Choice – Moving from fear-based living into Divine alignment.

Understanding the Void

Voids are not empty—they’re sacred spaces of transformation.

* A void is a spiritual reset, a moment of letting go before something new emerges.

* Fighting a void leads to struggle; surrendering to it invites healing.

* The Void is where magic happens—it is the realm of unseen creation.

Rather than resisting, we are invited to view the Void as an opportunity for growth, creativity, and spiritual recalibration.

Three Collective Voids

This chapter outlines three major energetic voids we’re experiencing:

* Faith over Fear – Will we choose to trust the unknown, or panic and grasp for control?

* Forgiveness over Blame – Will we release old grievances, or project pain onto others?

* Freedom over Suppression – Will we take responsibility for our own healing, or remain trapped in cycles of self-sabotage?

Each void invites a different kind of spiritual awakening, and the seeds we plant within them will grow over years to come.

Faith

Faith does not require proof—it requires presence.

* Doubt is the shadow of Trust, but it can coexist with Faith.

* Building inner Faith starts with trusting ourselves, then extends to trusting the Divine.

* If you have Faith in something, you are a person of Faith.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is not about condoning or forgetting—it’s about releasing.

* Forgiveness starts within.

* Don’t force it. Don’t fake it.

* Releasing resentment and judgment creates space for Grace.

We’re invited to weave the braid of Faith, Forgiveness, and Freedom into the fabric of our lives.

Freedom

True Freedom is not about doing whatever we want—it’s about releasing what no longer serves.

* Suppression often comes from within: addictive behaviors, numbing, avoidance.

* New currencies of energy—kindness, integrity, humility—are restructuring our systems.

* You may be one of the Ones helping bring these new systems into form.

Sacred Questions to Reflect On

This chapter encourages you to ask yourself:

* What do I have Faith in?

* Who do I need to Forgive?

* Where in my life do I seek Freedom?

Allow these questions to guide your journaling, meditation, and daily choices.

Key Takeaways

* Voids are sacred spaces for transformation. Don’t fear them—honor them.

* The seeds you plant now will shape your reality in years to come.

* Faith, Forgiveness, and Freedom are the keys to the New Era.

* Personal accountability is a spiritual practice.

* You were made for this time. Choose with care. Sow with love.

In this episode, we take a pause from the book study in order to go over some popular questions surrounding The Freedom Transmissions. In the next episode we will continue with the chapter, Sacred Seeds.

Some of these questions are ones that people have asked me recently, and some of the questions were shared with me by Carissa Schumacher, who channeled this book. These are questions that have been posed to her in the past… and I’ll share her answers to them, too.

This is The Freedom Transmissions 101.
