That title says it all, I believe that Sam Rami's Evil Dead @ is the Greatest movie ever made. Sure that's just one podcasts opinion but We have a little help from some family this week to back up our case.

It’s not an awful film like The Fog was but it doesn’t help that every frame of this gets compared to the Tobe Hooper classic. They should not have bothered with remaking The Fog in 2005. This is a lackluster and completely forgettable remake. I feel bad for kids who grew up with this constantly airing on the sci fi channel.

We may not have said the nicest things about Charles Bronson's original but man it’s a masterpiece compared to this. Listen to us as we complain about Bruce Willis sleeping his way through this film. Before he retired Bruce turned in some of the worst performances of his career. Eli Roth can’t even his his genre sensibilities to elevate this vigilante justice turkey.

It's not a shocker for us to say we preferred the 2015 version of Jumanji over the original version, but we have to stress that we really dig this interpretation. Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle is a great blockbuster.

In December of 1995 the world of cinema bestowed Jumani to us. Upon meeting a mixed critical recpetion it still went on to be one the biggest hits of the holiday season and start a franchise with a loose sequel and a reboot. We were truly unprepared for this limp, and lifeless (not even in a good way) American Adaptation of the Japanese Classic Kairo. Even with this film featuring one of our favorite actresses we still found almost no redeeming qualities of any kind. Pusle might ne the moist insignificant remake we have ever seen.

John Landis' classic is still worth a watch in 2024 but is it still the genre defining classic its billed as.

This is a remake that can't even be considered in the same league, neigh, the same sport as the original. Tom Everet Scott and Julie Delpy cant bring this low rent sequel/reboot in for even a "so bad its good" landing. We watch so you dont have to and if you had cables in the early 00's, then listen along to the dumbest werewolf movie imaginable, and the includes The Howling sequels.

Spinal Tap is a true classic. This film's impact can't truly be measured. This is one of the most quoted and notable cult movies of all time. Let's just say it, Kurt Russel does a waaaaay better job than Costner in the part of Wyatt Earp. This modern Classic is a movie Meredith and i have seen a hundred times. Dod our run in with Costner's Earp give us a new appreciation of this flick or did it leave us wishing there was a bit more here.

Everyone loves and remembers Tombstone but this competing film is almost completely forgotten. In a fight to tell the story of Wyatt Earp and the OK Coral, Costner and Lawrence Kasden choose to talk about the man Earp was and not the legend. This leads to a loooong boriing mess but is this a just a misunderstood gem or should you just stick to leaving Tombstone on in the background while clean or cook. Also, am I supposed to actaully like the man Wyatt Earp?

The 2012 version of Silent Night Deadly night is a remake in name only. While we certainly both would have appreciated another take on Billy and "Punishment" we instead received a solid if underwhelming horror movie. Curl up by the fire, light it with your flamethrower, toss out your pervy priest, and make sure your coeds are hung on antlers with care. Merry Christmas and Silent Night.
