Gritty REboot – Détails, épisodes et analyse

That title says it all, I believe that Sam Rami's Evil Dead @ is the Greatest movie ever made. Sure that's just one podcasts opinion but We have a little help from some family this week to back up our case.

Evil Dead II (1987) is a cult classic horror-comedy film directed by Sam Raimi. It serves as both a sequel to and a reimagining of the original The Evil Dead (1981). The film blends elements of horror, slapstick comedy, and over-the-top gore, creating a unique and highly influential style.

The story follows Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell), who travels to a remote cabin in the woods with his girlfriend, Linda (Denise Bixler). There, they discover the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis (the Book of the Dead) and a tape recording of incantations from the book. When the incantations are played, an evil force is unleashed, possessing Linda and eventually Ash himself. Ash must fight to survive as the demonic forces torment him. Later, the daughter of the cabin's archaeologist owner, Annie (Sarah Berry), arrives with a group of people, and they all become entangled in the battle against the Deadites (the possessed humans). The film culminates in a chaotic and surreal showdown.

Some years have twin films, but 1989 had triplets, (technically 89 had five aquatic thrillers) and this week we take a look at the movie i came in ready to defend as an underrated gem only to be a bit surprised as we watched George P. Cosmatos' Leviathan without rose colored glasses. Without nostalgia helping were we able to appreciate it or did we leave it under the sea

This week we look at the well made but pointless Poltergeist remake from 2015. It’s not an awful film like The Fog was but it doesn’t help that every frame of this gets compared to the Tobe Hooper classic. This is special show for us because, due to a falling tree, we lost power in our home and recorded our show in the Texas summer heat and in the dark.

As the Title states it’s The Fog, John Carpenter flavored this week. And yeah its one of his lesser works and you know what that still makes for fun viewing. We still enjoyed it and it was a treat to watch one more time.

They should not have bothered with remaking The Fog in 2005. This is a lackluster and completely forgettable remake. I feel bad for kids who grew up with this constantly airing on the sci fi channel.

This week we dive into part two of our three part series on Childs play. This week we look at MGM's reboot from 2019. A rights issue lead to this split in the franchise but the fans decided they preferred Don Mancini’si interpretation of the character as this did middling business and has no planned sequels

Chcuky's here and we are thrilled. This week we cover Tom Holland's Childs Play from 1988. This is a tight and well crafted thriller with really incredible animatronic effects. This is a true classic that demands your attention.
