#72 - European SILVER MEDALIST is going for HYROX WORLD RECORD! W/ Holly Archer
mardi 27 août 2024 • Durée 39:35
On this week’s episode of RunThrough presents ‘Gone Running’ we have European silver medalist Holly Archer.
Holly, who picked up that medal in the 1500m’s indoors in 2021 has been running since her formative years when a race in school led to her joining a club (it’s an amazing story) and ultimately to America where she was part of the NCAA system.
Following college and yet to be approached for a pro contract Holly who was competing still on an elite level approached her employer who supported her to go on a training camp in Flagstaff while continuing in full-time work.
In this conversation Ben & Holly talk about that time, why when she finally did get offered a pro deal it didn’t work out & what her sights are set on next, you’re going to have to get to the end for that, but here's a clue in three words, WORLD, RECORD, HYROX.

Now, having just completed stage two of the challenge where he travelled from Death Valley to the summit of Denali in Alaska, Oli sits down with Ben to talk through the challenges he faced on that expedition, how it’s only because of the adventure toolbox he has built over the years that he can do this and why you don’t have to take on anything as extreme to get a bit of adventure back in your everyday life!
