The Western Ho bids a fond farewell to one of its Thursday night session stalwarts with an evening of mourning and music. Andy continues to do battle with his young padawan who pushes him towards the dark side. Ed returns to work this week and, for the first time in a long time, does not mention the treehouse on the podcast (except for in this blurb which totally doesn't count).

In one of their many digressions Andy and Ed hypothesize about how many 9-year-olds would be needed to take each of them down in, what would be for a little while at least, the world's cutest fight to the death.

Andy's week was objectively cooler than Ed's with some daytime clubbing, a visit to the party bridge, and some bean stew being just some of the highlights as he plugs an upcoming gig for "Nancy Boys" to mark Madonna Bar's 40th Birthday on Friday the 20th.

Andrew takes a break from maths this week and immerses himself in all things musical, from a classically trained Japanese guitarist on the outskirts of Berlin to the expressive notes of some avant-garde ping-pong balls closer to home.

Andy and Ed's attempt to hold each other to account for their verbal ticks takes a decidedly abrupt turn towards BDSM in the latest episode of the Get Folked podcast. 

Reflections on Father's Day cause Andy to bemoan the fact that he gets scammed twice a year. Why does the EU fail to pass legislation synchronizing each nation's celebration of their Patriarchs? Could this be the issue that gets Andy and Ed elected to the next EU Parliament? (Actually, these last two sentences weren't discussed during the podcast, but sometimes these blurbs are hard to write and I need to add some filler).

A Berlin camping trip provides a strong case for why mosquitos need to f#@koff and find their own god-damn tent, while the ideas stay coming thick and fast as the guys float the concept for what sounds like a perfect movie sequel and somehow, inexplicably, the subject of sexy Yetis comes up. Finally, someone had the guts to say it!

Join us for the 25th Episode of the Get Folked podcast as the silver jubilee descends upon us. Where once there was but darkness and ignorance in the world Andy and Ed come forth in the latest instalment of your favourite podcast and bequeath knowledge unto the masses through their illuminating discourse on literature, history, musical theory, mathematics, theology, and the deceptive ways of a very observational horse. All of this is, of course, set against the back-drop of Andy's most recent excursion into the world of Albanian Folk Music (this link will take you to the site of that excursion on instagram).

Honestly, this episode belongs in the lecture halls of prestigious universities, or should be beamed into outer space as an indication to all alien life of the high water mark in learning which has been reached by modern human civilization, failing those two mediums we'll also settle for your podcast app of choice.

Theology and Theme Parks make surprising conversational bed-fellows as Andy and Ed reminisce and compare notes on the pros and cons of being alter boys in their respective parishes back in the day (yes that day was the 80s). This subject causes the unexpected need for deep questions to be tackled head-on: Communism Vs Capitalism. Individual Enrichment Vs the Common Good. Should those who serve be paid for their service or should the wealth of the few be shared by the many? And just how old is too old before you should really stop getting on those tiny amusement rides meant for small babies? So many questions! What are we to make of it all? Listen to this week’s episode of "Get Folked" to find out more, while not necessarily finding any answers.

BOOM! Another Get Folked episode makes it to the editor's desk before deadline. Tactics on how to make friends are discussed as well as the chronic shortage of Bouncy Castles. Is this an indication of the decline of western civilization or merely a minor inconvenience to too many stressed out parents as they cram themselves into one small urban location?

And, in a rare melancholy moment for the podcast, daylight robbery strikes in Berlin! This one is an emotional roller coaster.
