Celiac, HLA, MTHFR and APOE4: The Story Behind the Genes We Fear Most | 172

Saison 5 · Épisode 172

mardi 9 décembre 2025Durée 24:20

There is something incredibly liberating that happens when you realize your genes are not a life sentence. We have all been told that if a gene runs in your family, you’re destined to live out the same story. Celiac. MTHFR. Hashimoto’s. Breast cancer genes. We’re taught to brace ourselves instead of learning how to influence the environment those genes live in.

When the gut is overwhelmed, the immune system stays in a reactive state, and in that environment certain genes become more expressive than they would in a balanced body. And as the gut heals and the immune system steadies, those expressions often soften again.

When we move through life in the energy of fearing our bodies, or resenting the parts of us that feel complicated or confusing, it creates a disconnect. Not just within us, but within our children. They feel it. They feel the way we brace around certain symptoms. They feel the heaviness we carry when we believe something is wrong with us, or wrong with them. Our energy teaches them what to believe about their own bodies, the world around them, and what is possible or impossible.

If your child has a gene variant that society labels as undesirable, the most healing thing you can offer them is not fear. It’s acceptance. It’s steadiness. It’s the belief that their body is not broken. Because when you hold that belief, they learn to hold it too.

Your body is not something you need to fear. Your child’s body is not something to fix. Every single part of you was designed on purpose. Every one of your gene variants is a page in your story. And when certain genes express, it is an invitation. It is your body communicating with you and bringing you back into alignment so you can show up in your life as the best version of you.. It is your body asking you to come closer, not pull away.

When you view your body through this lens, everything shifts. You stop battling yourself. You stop bracing for what might happen. You begin partnering with your body instead of fearing it. And this is where your deepest power lives. In relationship. In understanding. In the environment you create on the inside.

Your genes respond to you. They respond to the way you live, the way you nourish yourself, the way you support your gut and your nervous system, the way you speak to yourself, the way you choose to show up every day. And the more safety and nourishment you bring into your life, the more your genes settle into the expression that serves you.

This is the freedom of gene expression. This is the empowerment that no lab report can ever take away from you.

Your Healing Timeline Has a Purpose | 171

Saison 5 · Épisode 171

mardi 2 décembre 2025Durée 19:06

Do you ever wonder why it feels like everyone else is healing faster than you or your child?

Comparing timelines is something I see a lot of and it's something I have experienced myself. It can be really hard to be months into your journey and see someone else making remarkable progress in just two days!

There’s this quiet pressure most women carry, and no one really talks about it out loud. The pressure to grow faster. Heal faster. Figure things out faster. To not fall behind. To keep pace with whatever invisible timeline we think we’re supposed to be on. And when healing is part of the story, that pressure multiplies. You start comparing your child’s progress to someone else’s. You compare how quickly someone else’s skin cleared or how fast another woman felt “better” in her body. You start thinking your timeline means something about you. Or your motherhood. Or your effort. Or the choices you’ve made.

Your timeline is not a measure of how well you’re doing. Your timeline is a mirror of who you’re becoming.

Healing isn’t just symptoms leaving the body. It’s the nervous system learning safety again. It’s the mind slowly moving out of survival mode. It’s the body trusting itself enough to let go of things it’s been holding for years, gosh, for most of us… our entire lives. And deep growth, the kind you actually feel in your bones, never happens on a schedule. It unfolds in the pace your life can hold. The pace your motherhood can hold. The pace your nervous system can hold.

Thanks for listening! I would love to connect with you ♡

Cleanses, Detoxes, and Fads I Would Never Follow (And Why) | 162

Saison 4 · Épisode 162

mardi 29 juillet 2025Durée 31:09

We are all bombarded with quick-fix “solutions” whether it is from a doctor, dermatologist or an influencer online, and it’s no wonder it feels confusing. One person is recommending a powder. Another is telling you to take ten different herbs. Then someone else is claiming you have to do a parasite cleanse before you can heal anything else.

It’s a lot.

And it’s really important to understand how these different cleanses, detoxes, and fads actually work (or don’t work) so that you can make the most aligned and intentional choices for your body or your child’s.

So let’s take a closer look at some of the most common tools people are talking about or being told to use. Because I want to walk you through exactly why they’re not included in any of our formulas at ōNLē - and how that decision was made with deep, thoughtful intention.

These aren’t ingredients we overlooked. They’re ingredients we intentionally chose not to include, because of what we now understand about how they interact with the body.

When we know better, we can choose better.
And I want you to have that knowledge so you can feel grounded and confident in the choices you make for your body, and for your family.

Why Rashes Get Itchier at Night and How to Support the Body Through It | 160

Saison 4 · Épisode 160

mardi 15 juillet 2025Durée 17:12

If you or your child struggle with eczema, hives, or any type of rash that feels itchier at night… you’ve probably noticed a pattern.

Things feel fairly manageable during the day. Maybe the rash even looks like it’s calming down? But then nighttime hits, and suddenly the itching ramps up.

Your child tosses and turns, they scratch until they bleed, they cry because they’re so uncomfortable. And as a mama, it feels so defeating. Especially because you’ve been doing everything you can to help them.

I know that feeling so well. Sitting there in the dark, sobbing because you feel like you’ve done something wrong.

This isn’t your fault and you and your child can heal. There’s a reason rashes flare at night. And understanding it changes everything.

In this week’s Follow Your Gut Podcast episode, I’m walking you through exactly why rashes get itchier at night, the role histamine plays, and how gut imbalances, toxins, and sluggish detox pathways all contribute to these cycles.

You’ll learn what’s happening inside the body… and exactly what your next steps can be - whether you’re brand new to ōNLē or you’ve been in this work for a while.

We’ll talk about:
→ The connection between gut imbalance, histamine, and nighttime flares
→ Why your or your child’s body struggles to detox at night (and how to help)
→ The importance of keeping drainage pathways open
→ Why the Ultimate Gut Rebalance Kit makes such a difference for skin healing
→ Simple evening habits that help lower histamine and support your body

You don’t have to stay stuck in this cycle. Your body is trying to heal. And now it’s time to help it do exactly that.

The Hidden Impact of Swimming, Antibiotics, and Accutane: Addiction, Anxiety, and Gut Health - My Husband’s Healing Story | 159

Saison 4 · Épisode 159

mardi 8 juillet 2025Durée 01:20:47

I’ve shared so much over the years about my boys’ healing journeys. About the years of struggle, battling every symptom that made us feel like something was wrong but no one could give us answers. The unhealthy poops, the rashes, the constant restless sleep, the allergies, the speech delays, the meltdowns and behavioral struggles that left us questioning everything. And how, through it all, rebalancing their guts didn’t just completely heal their bodies... It changed our entire lives. It changed me as a mother, and as a woman.

But one part of the story I haven’t told enough… is my husband Ty’s.

When we first started rebalancing our family, it wasn’t just about the kids. Ty was quietly carrying decades of symptoms that, at the time, felt totally normal.

He grew up as a competitive swimmer which meant constant chlorine exposure, chronic ear infections and round after round of antibiotics, year after year. Then came the teenage acne, the Accutane, the antidepressants, and the sleeping medications. The list just kept growing.

It wasn’t until we adopted a microbiome lifestyle (the one that healed out boys)  that everything finally started to make sense for Ty. The decade of addiction, anxiety, depression, the constant food cravings, and the feeling that he was never fully present in his own body… it all traced back to the same root. Gut health touches every single part of who we are.

This week, Ty is joining me on the podcast for a raw, vulnerable conversation about his journey. We’re diving deep into his past, and how for the first time in his life, he’s living medication-free and thriving.

If you’ve ever wondered how your childhood exposures, gut health, or even your own microbiome might be influencing your mental health, your cravings, your hormones, or your child’s health… this episode is for you.

Coming from a man who was very skeptical in the beginning, someone who questioned whether any of this could really heal our boys, let alone change his own life, his story is living proof that it absolutely can.

P.S. This might be THE episode to sit down and listen to with your partner, especially if they are on the fence about all of this microbiome talk. 👇🏼

What MTHFR Really Means for You and Your Child | 158

Saison 4 · Épisode 158

mardi 1 juillet 2025Durée 20:20

We’ve been taught to believe that our genes are fixed. That our health is this pre-written story that we just have to accept.

But that’s not the full truth.

Maybe you’ve been told you or your child have the MTHFR gene mutation. Maybe you’ve been suspecting it for a while, but no one’s given you real answers. Or maybe you’ve seen the signs… the skin rashes, the anxiety, the sensory struggles, the chronic fatigue… and you’ve been carrying that quiet fear that something deeper is going on.

I want to tell you today… your genes are not your destiny.

Up to 60% of the population has some form of the MTHFR mutation. It’s more common than most people realize. And while it can make detox, mood, energy, and overall health feel harder - it does not mean you or your child are broken.

In this week’s Follow Your Gut Podcast episode, I’m breaking down everything you need to know about MTHFR…

→ What this gene actually does
→ The early signs your body might need extra support
→ Why symptoms like skin issues, anxiety, and fatigue are so common with this mutation
→ How your gut health directly impacts your genes
→ And most importantly… how to support your body or your child’s body to function the way it was designed to

You have more control over your health than you’ve been taught to believe.

Your genes are your blueprint… but you are the builder.

I hope this episode reminds you just how much power you have to change your and your child’s story. Listen here. 👇🏼

She Wasn’t Gaining Weight. Her Skin Was Raw. Now She’s Thriving! Sheridan and Her Baby’s Story | 157

Saison 4 · Épisode 157

mardi 24 juin 2025Durée 01:16:17

When your baby isn’t gaining weight. When their skin is raw and bleeding and nothing you try is helping. When the doctors keep saying, “They’ll grow out of it,” but your gut is screaming, “something is wrong” - that is a kind of pain that most people don’t understand. But I do. And this weeks Follow Your Gut Podcast guest, Sheridan, does too.

In this episode, I sit down with Sheridan, a first-time mom whose baby girl was covered in severe eczema, crying around the clock, refusing to eat, and losing weight. She did everything right. She went to the pediatrician over and over again. She tried every cream, every elimination diet, every piece of advice thrown her way. And nothing worked. Until she found ōNLē.

Just ten days after starting the Gut Rebalance Kit, her daughter’s skin began to clear. She started gaining weight. She began making eye contact again. She started coming back to life and Sheridan could finally breathe.

This episode is emotional, raw, and full of tears. It’s for the mama who’s in the thick of it. It’s for the family who’s been told to wait it out. It’s for the women who are ready to trust their intuition and finally find the healing they’ve been searching for.

The healing you will hear about in this episode is from the Women’s and Children’s Gut Rebalance Kit and Body Biome Kit.

I can’t wait for you to listen. I showed up to the conversation unprepared so make sure you have a box of tissues near by.

Thanks for listening! I would love to connect with you ♡

The Parasites Came Out of His Skin. Abi's Story of Trust and Healing | 156

Saison 4 · Épisode 156

mardi 17 juin 2025Durée 27:31

Abi’s story stopped me in my tracks when she reached out and shared it with me. I had never heard someone healing quite like her son.

He was covered in strange bumps, couldn’t sleep, and was the pickiest eater. She spent thousands of dollars on appointments and herbs from a naturopath, hoping something would finally work. But nothing brought true healing. She eventually couldn’t afford to keep working with this naturopath and that’s when she found ōNLē on Instagram.

She immediately said yes to the Rebalance Kit before she even finished scrolling the page, and never looked back. What happened next is something every mama deserves to witness.

Her son began to eat again. Sleep through the night. The rage and overwhelm she had quietly been carrying melted away. Parasites and candida literally began exiting both of their bodies - even through his skin.

Yes. That’s how powerful healing can be when we let it be simple. When we stop second-guessing and start leading from trust.

This episode is a raw, emotional look at what happens when a mama trusts her intuition and goes all in.

Abi now mentors inside the Rebalancing Collective, our private support space for families walking this healing path and I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful leader to guide you.

You don't want to miss this beautiful conversation!

It’s Not Just Eczema - It’s a Cry for Help | 155

Saison 4 · Épisode 155

mardi 10 juin 2025Durée 14:05

I remember standing at the pharmacy, holding a prescription for steroid cream in my shaking hand. My baby was in his car seat at my feet, his tiny body curled under a blanket, with an oozing rash covering his whole body. He had those little cotton mittens on - the ones I used to keep him from scratching himself raw - but even through the fabric, he had clawed at his skin so badly that streaks of blood ran down his face. He was screaming.

And I was sobbing into the phone with my husband.

The pharmacist told me it was normal. That so many babies use steroid creams. That everything was fine.

But everything in me knew it wasn’t.

I didn’t know then what I know now but I knew there had to be a deeper reason for my baby’s rash. That day, I walked out of the pharmacy without the cream. Still crying. Still unsure. But I was done letting our system silence my son’s symptoms.

That moment changed everything.

In this episode, I’m sharing the full story - not just what happened that day, but the truth I’ve uncovered since.

You’ll learn why eczema isn’t just a skin issue, what most doctors aren’t trained to see, and how real healing starts when we stop managing symptoms and finally get to the root.

Whether you’re here for your child or yourself, this episode will help you see eczema in a completely different light.

Thanks for listening! I would love to connect with you ♡
