No, Stack And Tilt Isn’t “Just Stay Left” In Conversation with Georges Courte
mercredi 5 novembre 2025 • Durée 48:42
We trace Georges’ path from France to China and unpack how a clear system—not a one-size method—helps juniors and adults build reliable contact, usable power, and predictable ball flight. We challenge common myths about Stack and Tilt and show how thinking golfers score lower.
• defining turn, tilt, and extend before touching a club
• controlling low point to build solid contact
• creating enough speed to play, not chase max distance
• building predictable ball flight through face and path
• why Stack and Tilt is a system, not a model
• coaching juniors to think and enjoy lessons
• differences between range competence and scoring skill
• books that matter: Hogan and The Golfing Machine
• golf’s growth and limits within China’s exclusive scene
• social media as a window into real lessons

The Missing Piece: Why Your Golf Swing Isn't the Problem
vendredi 20 juin 2025 • Durée 01:01:47
We dive deep into the subconscious barriers keeping you from reaching your golf potential. Paul Salter, performance coach and hypnotherapist, reveals how childhood programming creates an "upper limit" to success and provides practical strategies to break through mental blocks.
• Our subconscious controls 95% of daily actions including performance under pressure
• First seven years of life program our belief systems while we're in a "theta" brainwave state
• Self-imposed mental limits are rooted in fear of standing out or changing identity
• Technical proficiency (swing mechanics) matters less as you approach scratch level
• The key difference between elite players and the rest is emotional regulation
• Pattern interrupts like Tiger's "10-foot rule" help reset after mistakes
• Visualization should include both perfect shots AND recovering from mistakes
• Scratch golfers demonstrate greater acceptance and detachment from outcomes
• Hypnotherapy provides access to rewrite limiting subconscious beliefs
• Top performers find safety in risk-taking and competitive edges

A Conversation with Pat Quinn about Youth On Course and growing the game
Saison 2 · Épisode 16
mardi 14 mars 2023 • Durée 47:14
Hello and welcome once again to the Flaghunters Golf Podcast ! Today on the Pod, we have Northern California Golf Association past President and my friend Pat Quinn. Pat has been an influential part of our topic today, Youth on Course.
Youth on Course is a program created by the NCGA to have Junior Golfers have access to participating courses for the grand sum of FIVE dollars per player. So for 5 bucks, a kid can go play golf with his or her buddies. Pretty cool right ? However, YOC (Youth on Course) goes much deeper than that which Pat and I discuss.
This subject is near and dear to my heart. I had the good fortune to be able to play in the afternoons when I was growing up at Old Del Monte GC here on the Monterey Peninsula. Juniors were allowed to play for free after a certain time. If it wasn’t for that, I may have not had the opportunity to play. Maybe I wouldn’t have been exposed to the game. I am forever grateful for programs like YOC. Not only to install the values that the game teaches us, also to grow the game that we all love.
I wish to give a big thank you to my good friend Pat Quinn for coming on and his selfless involvement with programs like YOC and the NCGA. For more information, go to www.youthoncourse.org and www.ncga.org

Your Gear has a MASSIVE EFFECT on how YOU Swing the Golf Club !! An In Depth Conversation With Golf Equipment Expert Mike Ryder
Saison 2 · Épisode 14
mardi 28 février 2023 • Durée 55:45
Hello and welcome again to the Flaghunters Golf Podcast ! Today on the show we have Mike Ryder. Mike worked for TaylorMade in their fitting dept for five plus years and now has a club repair business.
In this episode, Mike and I talk about the value of having your clubs exactly how you want them. We also discuss the negative effects of playing the wrong stuff and lastly, we sometimes wrongly assume that it’s our swing s the one at fault. I have made this mistake and it has taken me a long time to learn this simple lesson.
Lastly, Mike and I talk about the divide between club fitting and golf instruction. There most definitely needs to be more symmetry between the two.
Thank you Mike for coming on and if you’re in the Monterey area and need to have club repair done by an expert, please call Mike at (831)601-6234. Mike is also on Instagram at Ryders Golf Repair.

Wanna Hit It Farther ?? Well I’ve Got World Long Drive Champion Justin James and Master Instructor Billy MacKinney to Tell You !!!
Saison 2 · Épisode 12
mardi 14 février 2023 • Durée 58:52
Hello and thank you for joining us in this Golf/Life affirming information. My name is Jesse Perryman and I am your host of the Flaghunters Golf Podcast. Today on the Pod we have 2017 World Long Drive Champion Justin James and Master Instructor Billy MacKinney !
While Golf at the highest level is certainly changing towards more distance, speed and power, what does that mean for the rest of us ? I think it helps a ton to hit it further. If you have shorter shots to the green, most likely you’ll score better. How do we go about this ?
Justin James is one of the longest hitters in the World. Justin is also a TPI Certified Trainer having worked with some of the best players in the World. What he tells is HOW to properly train the body to prepare to speed train SAFELY and the frequency of speed training. Billy and I centralize our questions to Justin about this. What Justin also tells us is the road to increasing distance in NOT linear. As with anything, consistency is key to reaching our distance goals.
Thank you Justin and Billy for coming on. You can find Justin on Instagram and Billy as well under BillMacKinneysecrets.

How About Some Very Cool and Surprising Golf Stats ! A Fun Conversation with Lou Stagner.
Saison 2 · Épisode 11
mardi 7 février 2023 • Durée 01:00:35
Hello and welcome to the Flaghunters Golf Podcast ! My name is Jesse Perryman and it’s my honor and passion to bring you truthful insights to help make you a better player !
Today on the Pod we have Mr. Lou Stagner. Lou notably is the Data lead at ArccosGolf, which is a Golf stat tracking program that is in or at the end of your grip. Lou also is the Assistant Coach for the Golf team at Princeton. Lastly, Lou rounds it off with his Podcast called, “Hack It Out”.
Lou has my favorite Twitter account. Why you ask ? Well, he posts some crazy stats. His stats are usually ranged per handicap genre. For example, Lou will post proximity to the hole from 100 yards, 150 yards, etc, per handicap range. Let’s say you’re a 5. Lou will post some percentages for your handicap family based on data from ArccosGolf and formulate proximity stats, putting stats, averages greens in regulation stats and so on.
What’s interesting to me about Lou’s postings are the Tour stats. I would’ve thought that the best players in the World would have these incredible stats. For example, do you know what the average proximity is from 100 yards for PGA Tour and LPGA Tour is ? I would’ve thought it’d be inside of 10-15 feet. Stats prove otherwise. The best in the World average TWENTY FEET !!! How about putting ? Let’s say your average Tour Pro has an 8 foot putt. Do you know what his/her make percentage is ? Around 50 percent. I would’ve thought it be much higher !!
Lou also has my favorite hashtag on Social Media. It’s called, manage your expectations ! When I look at his stats postings, I look at the example about as it relates to the best in the World from 100 yards. If I hit it 20 feet, I can tell myself that this is the Tour average. I can cut myself a break if I miss an 8 foot putt because the best make this putts HALF the time ! I hear so many players berate themselves for missing putts around or under 10 feet !
What Lou provides is a valuable service from the perspective of taking some pressure off when you play. Golf is a hard game and management of your expectations is a huge, golf/life affirming skill that can be learned.
You can find Lou easiest on his Twitter @LouStagner. I highly encourage all to go and do a bit of contemplation on some of Lou’s stats. I promise it will help you put some things on the golf course in perspective and help you to play better !
