More importantly, can what we listen to enhance our enjoyment of our favourite drink?

In this episode, Emma:

  • discusses the links between beer & music with Tom Bott, co-founder of London brewery, Signature Brew;
  • and performs an experiment with beer & a Christmassy tune with beer sommelier & drinks writer, Jane Peyton.

Plus - Emma & Jane share some of their breweries of 2020, and some hopes for 2021.

Roger Ryman: In His Own Words

I last interviewed Roger Ryman at St Austell Brewery in November 2019. As usual, he was entertaining, insightful, and full of stories.

Here's 13 minutes of the best from one of the greats of modern brewing.

Roger Ryman: 02/06/1967 - 28/05/2020

Cask beer.

The very soul of the British pub or boring brown beer? Good value or desperately undervalued? The future of craft beer or a dusty old relic?

Where exactly is cask beer at?

Feat:

- Roger Ryman (Brewing Director; St Austell Brew Co)

- Ben Duckworth (Director; Affinity Brew Co & Cask Festival)

- Matt Eley (Editor; Cask Report)

Fermentation Beer & Brewing Radio - 9 January 2020 - Obadiah Poundage

jeudi 9 janvier 2020Durée 45:35

Obadiah Poundage is a recreation of a nineteenth century porter and the result of years of work and a collaboration between Mike Siegel (Goose Island, Chicago), Ron Pattinson (beer historian) and Derek Prentice (London brewing legend).

All three came together at the Goose Island Brew Pub in Shoreditch to launch the beer and tell some of the many stories associated with it. In this live recording of the launch event you can expect tales of London brewing and the shattering of a few beery myths!

But how are breweries responding to this challenge?
