116. Rob’s Olympic Diary Pt.1
Saison 3 · Épisode 17
mardi 10 février 2026 • Durée 34:23
Rob’s flying solo this week and it’s a full-tilt sporting diary as he throws himself headfirst into the glorious chaos of the Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina… from the comfort of his sofa (mostly).
It all started pre-tournament for Britain’s Curlers last Wednesday, before the week snowballs into opening ceremony splendour, men’s and women’s downhill drama, that terrifying Lindsey Vonn crash and the heart-in-mouth heli-ambulance evacuation, women’s Big Air, Ice Dancing in the team event, and huge excitement as Jenn and Bruce battle their way into the semi-finals of the Mixed Doubles Curling.
Somewhere along the way, things get a bit… real. The action ramps up, the FOMO kicks in, and Rob finds himself making a very impulsive, very last-minute decision that might just involve heading out to the mountains himself. He sets off tomorrow. Or does he?
And because one sport-fuelled week apparently isn’t enough, Rob also squeezes in Leeds United v Nottingham Forest, catches the start of the Super Bowl, and continues his budding love affair with the Broncos with a trip to the Challenge Cup clash against the Bradford Bulls.
It’s a rambling, joyful, slightly unhinged celebration of elite sport, emotional investment, and the dangerous idea that watching too much sport can lead to international travel.
And don’t go anywhere — this is just the warm-up. Make sure you’re subscribed and ready to sprint back for a bonus episode next week… live from the Olympics.

115. Clubhouse Chat: Misery, Momentum & Medals
Saison 3 · Épisode 16
mardi 27 janvier 2026 • Durée 39:37
It’s a massive catch up in the Clubhouse this week!
Jack and Rob discuss anything and everything that has happened in their sporting worlds over the past few weeks. Jack is bereft and despondent about his beloved Baggies and their slip down the table, which turns into a discussion about empathetic leadership, Thomas Frank and Spurs. Rob is buoyant and optimistic about his mighty Leeds United as they solidify their place in the Premier League. Chicago Bears are discussed after their valiant Super Bowl campaign and Rob turns into our Winter Olympics correspondent and gives us all the info and gossip about the upcoming wintery treat in Italy!

60. Alex Hill - Why I Stuck a Flare Up My Arse for England
Saison 2 · Épisode 7
mardi 17 septembre 2024 • Durée 55:36
Fresh off his successful run at the Edinburgh Festival and gearing up for his UK tour, Rob and Jack welcome Alex Hill, the writer and star of Why I Stuck a Flare Up My Arse for England, to the Clubhouse. Alex shares insights into the creative journey behind his one-man show.
A die-hard Brentford fan, Alex was inspired to write the show following the chaotic events of the Euro 2020 Final between England and Italy, most famously marked by the viral image of an England fan in Trafalgar Square with a flare in a rather... unconventional place!
Rob and Jack dive into the origins of Alex’s idea, the themes woven throughout the show, and the colourful characters who helped shape the story. They also explore Alex’s personal journey in balancing his love for both sport and theatre.
Why I Stuck a Flare Up My Arse for England is touring the UK this autumn 2024. Follow @bumflareplay on Instagram to book tickets and stay updated. Plus, they announce a special ticket GIVEAWAY for performances at The Wilton’s Music Hall in London, Somerset, Corby, Hull, and The Birmingham REP.
