Climate and Energy in Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill - The Climate Realism Show #158
Épisode 821
vendredi 23 mai 2025 • Durée 01:18:43
Donald Trump achieved a major political and policy victory on Thursday when the U.S. House of Representatives passed what he calls his “Big Beautiful Bill.” The less-creative name is the budget reconciliation bill, which presidents for years have used to implement large parts of their agenda. (That’s how we got “Obamacare.”)
The bill includes many of Trump’s economic policy promises, such as tax cuts, but also rolls back much of the “green” energy and climate policies the Biden administration imposed via the Inflation Reduction Act.
Join Heartland’s Anthony Watts, Linnea Lueken, H. Sterling Burnett, Jim Lakely, and special guest Steve Milloy LIVE at 1 p.m. ET for Episode #58 of The Climate Realism Show. We’ll break down the good, the bad, and the disappointing in the Big Beautiful Bill. We’ll also cover the Crazy Climate News of the Week and answer your questions in the chat.

SHOCK CLIMATE REPORT! Urban Heat Islands Responsible for 65% of Global Warming — The Climate Realism Show #157
Épisode 820
vendredi 16 mai 2025 • Durée 01:25:05
A new study from the University of Alabama in Huntsville addresses the question of how much the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect is responsible for the higher temperatures at weather stations across the world. Dr. Roy Spencer and Dr. John Christy have spent several years developing a novel method that quantifies, for the first time, the average UHI warming effects related to population density. Their finding: no less than 65% of “runaway global warming” is not caused by our emissions of carbon dioxide, but by the urbanization of the world.
Dr. Spencer will join us to go over his findings. We’ll also cover the Crazy Climate News of the Week, including an absurd new bit of unscientific propaganda from the U.S. Climate Reference Network at NOAA, wonder if the sun is setting on wide-scale solar energy, and discuss how alarmists refuse to see that we live in a climactic “golden age”—and more.
Join Heartland’s Anthony Watts, Linnea Lueken, H. Sterling Burnett, Jim Lakely, and Dr. Roy Spencer LIVE at 1 p.m. ET for Episode #157 of The Climate Realism Show. We’ll be answering questions in the chat for us, and for Dr. Spencer, on the show.

Is it Over for the MSM? - In The Tank #485
Épisode 811
jeudi 27 février 2025 • Durée 01:18:27
The FBI is investigating an alleged "honeypot" operation against the 2016 Trump campaign, in which Comey's FBI may have planted female agents to try to compromise Trump. It has been a tough week for our mainstream media elites—multiple MSM personalities were fired or retired, and Jake Tapper is pretending he wasn’t involved in covering up Biden’s obvious decline. Bezos cracks the whip on The Washington Post Opinion section writers, and the White House Correspondents' Association loses its special status as press pool wranglers.
The Heartland Institute’s Linnea Lueken, Jim Lakely, and Chris Talgo will discuss all this and more on this episode of the In The Tank podcast.

Is Biden Going to Declare a Climate Emergency?
Épisode 721
mercredi 23 août 2023 • Durée 15:18
The other day, H. Sterling Burnett, Ph.D., the director of The Heartland Institute's Arthur B. Robinson Center on Climate and Environmental Policy, was a guest on the Cardle & Woolley program on Talk Radio 1370 AM in Austin, Texas. Sterling was asked to be on to talk about how President Biden "kind of" declared a climate emergency, or at least said as much in a recent interview with The Weather Channel. If an "official" climate emergency is declared, what would that look like? How much power could Biden seize? Burnett explores those questions, and more, on this radio appearance.

Biden, Montana, Maui - 'Climate Emergency' Madness Continues With Special Guest Dr. Judith Curry
Épisode 720
samedi 19 août 2023 • Durée 01:01:19
It has been a crazy week in the climo-sphere. Fires in Maui were blamed on “climate change” by the media, only for them to find out that this wasn’t the case at all!
President Joe Biden, after having a disastrous week of optics sitting on the beach while Maui burned, decided to fly there Monday. With the perfect setting for “disaster porn” from the burned city of Lahaina, he may finally declare an “official” global climate emergency next week.
The Biden White House loves their optics!
Also, a bunch of kids in Montana (well, actually their handlers) filed a climate lawsuit against the state citing the Montana constitution provision for a clean environment. They just won, arguing with exaggerations and cherry-picked data. Special guest, Climatologist Dr. Judith Curry will discuss her role in defending that lawsuit and her observations.

Humans to Blame for Hawaii Fires, but Not How You Think
Épisode 719
mardi 15 août 2023 • Durée 19:25
The other day, Heartland's H. Sterling Burnett was a guest on the John Steigerwald Show on AM1250 The Answer in Pittsburgh. Sterling was on at the top of the program to talk about how climate alarmists are blaming the devastating fires in Hawaii on man-made global warming. Sterling explains how humans are the most to blame for the devastation, but not for the reasons being spun by corporate media. Have a listen.

Climate Emergency Declaration? Here Come Climate Lockdowns - Climate Change Roundtable #75
Épisode 718
vendredi 11 août 2023 • Durée 01:15:20
President Joe Biden and the UN are likely to declare an “official” global climate emergency next week. All the signs are there. The chatter, and the behind the scenes maneuvering. The UN’s website now has a climate emergency page. Biden the other day stopped short, but when the new temperature numbers are issued on August 15by NOAA, that may be all the justification Biden needs. The “melting in Antarctica and the supposed subsequent sea level rise” will be another, and Lahaina in Maui burning to the ground will be cited as yet another.
If Biden declares a climate emergency, will climate lockdowns follow? History suggests “yes.” In a plausible scenario, we could see gas rationing, restrictions on electricity use, and limits on air travel. Enjoy steaks? Well, you can forget those.
But what is the truth about Antarctica ice and Maui fires? Tune in LIVE at noon CT on Friday, August 11 to find out. Host Anthony Watts and Heartland’s H. Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, and Donald Kendal will discuss it all, and more.

Climate Lockdowns: The British Change Their Stance
Épisode 717
samedi 5 août 2023 • Durée 01:10:43
In this episode of Climate Change Roundtable, we head across the pond to the UK to look at the results of a joint poll conducted by YouGov, CAR26, and The Heartland Institute. According to the most recent results, there has been a 20% decrease in the number of Brits who strongly supported the idea of climate lockdowns back in October 2021.
Special guest Lois Perry of CAR26 joins todays show to discuss what she observes going on with the climate policies in Britain. Perry founded CAR26 in Oct 2021 as a counter to the net-zero carbon emissions message she saw sweeping the nation. Since founding the organization, Perry has been featured in panel discussions, hosts and appears on weekly TV programs, and gets her message out across printed publications and social media.
We’ll also have our usual fun poking holes in the craziest climate news of the week!
So, join us for discussion on Climate Change Roundtable. Be part of this robust conversation and engage with us during the live chat. Together, let's explore the climate dialogue with discernment and objectivity.

Climate Uncertainty and Risk: Rethinking Our Response: (Guest: Judith Curry, Ph.D.)
Épisode 716
samedi 29 juillet 2023 • Durée 32:12
In her book, Climate Uncertainty and Risk, Dr. Judith Curry describes how the climate science community has been captured by certain points of view concerning society and the desire for consensus, undermining its pursuit of objective facts. Climate change claims are fraught with uncertainty, only to be shrouded in secrecy for those who seek real-world data. The result is a society that bases it’s policy decisions of improper, and often incorrect, scientific assertions, rather than advancing human wellbeing.

Hottest Day in 120,000 Years? That's a Joke, Right?
Épisode 715
mardi 25 juillet 2023 • Durée 07:05
Is a day this July the hottest day in 120,000 years? Of course not. Heartland Institute Senior Fellow Anthony Watts was a guest this week on KTRH Radio, Houston's Morning News with Sharon and Jim to debunk that ridiculous claim. Anthony also talks about how and why alarmists have changed the term "global warming" to "climate change," which means you can blame every bit of extreme weather on human activity. That's also a claim not backed up by science.
