We are back in action with the official kickoff of Season 2 of the Dads + Bikes podcast experience!

While we've been riding in the warm summer months so much has happened. In this first episode of Season 2 of Dads+Bikes we catch up on where our kids have been... and also have no clue sometimes of their whereabouts. 

Our kids have turned 12 all the way down to 6-months old. So many changes from dealing with body odor to knowing how to deal with others. We also discuss instilling good habits into our children at an early age.

We also talk about one of the greatest quotes of all time from one of the greatest movies of all time, which is Dodgeball. "If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball." This rings true with the emotional rollercoaster of our children at times.

Episode 50! A milestone has been reached with the Dads+Bikes podcast experience! 

Alix, Paul, Steve, and Ian are in the Clubhouse celebrating with all the food, drinks, and great conversation of being the best dads we can be! 

We discuss how we can randomly buy stuff without learning how to use it, but learn along the way. Just like parenting! In this episode, we actually go into a deep discussion of what it takes to fix and restore our bikes up. That in itself is mind-blowing.

We start off this week with Alix, Steve, Paul, and Ian with a bang by discussing the flat Earth theory, or some say a conspiracy, which quickly gets re-routed by Steve to shout out a solid customer experience by a winter gear company called Dope. 

The snowboard jacket he was looking for was not available in Canada but somehow, possibly by Steve's natural charm, found a way to ship him one. In addition, the company has a "fit finder' that allows you to choose your size by images, such as 'Flatter', 'Average,' and 'Rounded.' Perhaps they will go the distance without being so kind and add in the 'dad potbelly.' Well worth a look into... and they are not even a sponsor of this 5-star podcast.

This week on the Dads+Bikes podcast experience Alix and Ian discuss the shows and movies that made us, specifically Arrested Development and the banger of a movie Armageddon with Owen Wilson being the true lead actor. 

We quickly talk about how entertainment for kids these days are created by all the gazillionaires YouTubers such as LazarBeam, Mark Rober, and Mr. Beast. It really cool to see this on-demand media is also a form of education -- some of what to do and what not to do. The key is to exit the screen and get outside to do things rather than ending up in a continuous scroll into the ether.

This week, we discuss marriage and how long it took for each of us to propose. We also went off a tangent from this conversation into the more important discussion of leather boots, specifically Viberg Boots. One of the key points that we discovered is to lace up a boot or to not lace up with a slip-on boot.

Welcome back to another episode of the Dads+Bikes podcast experience. 

We are back with Alix, Steve, Paul, and Ian and discussing how actually communicating with others at a young age helps build skills to excel later in life in the business world. As our children grow, it's the role of the parent to guide them in the best direction of their dreams and interests, but also based on our life experience and being supportive.

We discuss how our kids are not like us but we need to help them be like them. The question was raised on this gem: "I can teach my kid how to be like me but how do you teach your kid to be like them."

We also venture down the path of allowing a certain percentage of success when parenting. Aiming for 100% success when asking your kids to do something or try something new is heading down a road of unfulfilled expectations. However, possibly going for 50% or 85% leaves room for growth.
