Episode 37: Andre Newell & The Canadian Industry
Saison 1 · Épisode 37
vendredi 20 septembre 2024 • Durée 49:19
I APOLOGIZE for the audio quality of this podcast, we had technical difficulties... and we're living and learning! The information Andre shares in this episode I thought was invaluable and didn't want to drag him back into the studio to try to recreate the interview. So we did our best, about half way through the audio switches to what we're used to. HOWEVER in this episode we talk about the Canadian industry and how it compares to the US, we talk about the writing process, exercises actors can do AND of course the ICONIC Toronto Monologue Slam!!
The Youtube channel Andre recommends you listen to is here:

Episode 36: TKAY & The Keys To Songwriting
Saison 1 · Épisode 36
jeudi 12 septembre 2024 • Durée 38:17
TKAY's new song "So Close" is out now, wherever you listen to music!
I loved this interview, a little different than my usual actors but there's so many similarities in the creative journey. TKAY was brave enough to share her art with the world and is inspiring others to do the same. We talk about writers block, taking inspired action, being gentle with yourself and so much more. Stay till the end of the interview to hear her song "So Close" I know I'll definitely be listening to this over and over!
You can find TKAY on social media [at]t.kxy to keep updated with all her new music and covers!

Episode 23: Lana Evanson & Getting Back Into Acting
Saison 1 · Épisode 23
jeudi 13 juin 2024 • Durée 49:07
Lana was very generous when she reached out and offered to interview me. We filmed my interview (coming soon) and by the time we got to filming her interview I clearly didn't turn off being interviewed and turn on being the interviewer so this is more of a casual conversation but I loved it! It felt very natural, this was our first meeting and I feel like I've known Lana for a long time, she's so kind, so generous and a joy to talk to.
SINCE FILMIING this interview, she's been in MULTIPLE commercials, flown to Mexico for filming, been in a short film that's making its festival rounds and worked with director Deborah Chow!
Absolutely killing it out there and we are HERE FOR IT!!

This is one of those episodes where I feel like I'm going to rewatch it every few months because the lessons in here are so helpful! The inspiration is incredible! I was going to cut some footage for bonus material but I wanted you all to get access to all this fantastic information. I loved rewatching this interview I loved the life lesson reminders and I'm so thankful that Chelsea took the time out of her busy schedule to talk all things acting with me. This episode is invaluable. From auditioning via zoom to burning all the ships this episode is GEM PACKED!! (See what I did there?) Who else is going to try a marshmallow in the freezer? Gotta watch til the end for that and so many more treats!!

Episode 20: Paulina Luciani & Trusting Yourself
Saison 1 · Épisode 20
samedi 1 juin 2024 • Durée 01:03:45
I am so happy that Paulina reached out to be a guest on this podcast. She is not afraid to speak her truth, share what she knows to help other actors and she's really good with her words (jealous). We talk about the transition from theatre to film, about switching agents being necessary and when to do it, training in the UK and so much more!
