A Safe Space For Joy, Self-Love, And Remembering Who You Are - Sensei Nancy Mueller - S6E2
27 Jan 2026
00:25:30
What if joy isn’t a reward for getting life “right,” but your natural baseline? Coach Mikki sits down with Sensei Nancy, author, life sensei, and founder of The Dojo, to explore what happens when we stop trying to fix ourselves and start remembering who we really are. This isn’t a pep talk; it’s a grounded look at the mindset, language, and community that make lasting change feel possible.
The conversation turns deeply personal as Sensei Nancy reflects on her divorce and the identity free fall that comes when roles fall away. If you answer “Who are you?” with titles and tasks, this part will land. We talk about becoming someone who can look in the mirror with unflinching love, about declining invitations into unworthiness, and about picking rooms that expand you rather than compress you. Expect practical takeaways and an invitation to try a weekly cadence of reflection, language upgrades, and community support that keeps momentum alive.
If you’re ready to honor your gifts, raise your frequency, and find a circle where your joy is welcome, you’ll feel at home here. Explore Nancy’s books, YouTube topics, and how to join the Dojo. Subscribe, share this with a friend who’s awakening, and leave a review telling us one word you’re retiring from your vocabulary. Your light belongs here.

Plug Back Into Your Power - Elizabeth Payne - S5 E10
04 Dec 2025
00:28:22
What if the version of success you built no longer fits, and the real path forward starts with five quiet minutes? That’s where our conversation with Elizabeth begins. She’s an engineer-turned-empowerment coach who helps people plug back into their power by aligning what they want with what they believe, feel, and do each day. We unpack the subtle signs of misalignment chronic unease, constant chasing, an inner no beneath an outer yes and why feeling clearer, not busier, is the truest performance metric.
We dig into her simple framework: name a vivid vision, then empty the “backpack” of beliefs that fight it. Fear shows up for everyone, but it doesn’t have to be the driver. Elizabeth walks through finding the root of a fear, reframing it with evidence and choice, and getting the subconscious on board so action feels lighter. For high-achievers and logical thinkers, we talk about balancing analysis with possibility, replacing the demand for 40 steps with the next wise step, and using small experiments to build proof and momentum.
You’ll hear practical tools you can start today: a five-minute daily quiet practice to sense your own energy and wants, questions that separate your voice from external noise, and ways to treat your past as a bridge rather than a prison. If you’re staring at a comfortable life that doesn’t feel like yours, this conversation offers a path back to clarity, courage, and forward motion. Listen, take one honest step, and tell us what comfort you’re ready to release.
When love and medicine intertwine, the result is nothing short of a miraculous tapestry woven by the hands of a devoted family. Today, we welcome back Blake, alongside his heroic parents Scott and Karen, and his supportive wife Terese, as we traverse their incredible journey through not one but two kidney transplants. As a child, Blake's health challenges were met with an immeasurable gift from his mother—a gift that years later his father would match. Their tale is a profound chronicle of sacrifice, hope, and the advancements in medical technology that have turned the tide in organ transplantation.
The heartbeat of our discussion pulsates with the strength of familial bonds. Karen and her husband reveal the contrasting experiences of their surgeries—one traditional, one laparoscopic—and the evolution of medical procedures that have shaped their family's story. We also step into the shoes of Terese, who shares the complexities of building a life with Blake.
As we turn the final pages of this chapter, the conversation shines a light on the relentless determination of a mother, the compassion of a spouse, and the survivor's spirit of a son. Karen's reflections on parenting through transplants, Therese's insights on embracing the unknown, and Blake's optimism for future medical breakthroughs like the UCLA Kidney Tolerance Program, all converge to offer a beacon of hope. This is more than just a podcast episode; it's a celebration of the human spirit, the unwavering power of love, and the remarkable courage that comes with facing life's most daunting challenges head-on. Join us as we bear witness to a family's testament to life, love, and the pursuit of health against all odds.
