Liam Rosenior's first proper game in charge of Chelsea ends in narrow defeat. As a Blues team decimated by illness, injuries and suspension, falls just short of Arsenal in a 2-3 loss at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of our Carabao Cup semi final.

Bozo Sanchez turned up again, being at fault for both of the first two goals conceded, but at least Alejandro Garnacho came off the bench to score a brace to keep our hopes alive and give us a fighting chance for the 2nd leg at the Emirates in a few weeks time.

Chelsea never do things the easy way!

A hard fought, impressive second half comeback, from 2-0 down to 2-2, away at Newcastle as well as an initially difficult Carabao Cup tie against Cardiff, but in the end winning 3-1 thanks to Garnacho and Neto off the bench and qualifying us for the semi finals against either Arsenal or Crystal Palace.

The Premier League is back! And unfortunately for us, Chelsea are also back to reality.. After all the optimism and hype following the CWC and positive "pre season", Maresca's Blues are held to a frustrating 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

Thanks to a 2-0 win over Fluminense, with an overall very good performance but mainly, two absolute super goals by Joao Pedro on his first start for Chelsea! Cucurella impressed as usual, while Caicedo gets injured and we fear over his availability in the final on Sunday.

Chelsea did not reach the Carabao Cup Final but instead fell short once again.

A pragmatic first half and unsuccessful more attacking second half game plan from Liam Rosenior causes divide in the fan base and leaves us asking, could we have done more?

But no matter what, it's certainly not JUST Ronsenior, our attack basically non existent (except Joao Pedro) but missing Reece James and others seemingly for "rest" creates serious question marks about the winning mentality at this football club.
