$10k Months as a Therapist in the Midwest with Jen Nobo

Épisode 8

mercredi 25 septembre 2024Durée 42:23

Jen Nobo is a millennial therapist, based in the Midwest. She primarily works with Gen Z and millennial women who struggle with anxiousness and people-pleasing tendencies. Jen uses a modern approach when working with her clients. She prides herself on being a friend who is objective, while also holding you accountable as you work through the ‘uncomfy’ stuff.

Jen and I started working together in early 2023, when she joined my Mastermind. At that time, she had an Instagram page with a few thousand followers. We focused on her niching down so she could position herself as an authority in her space, and grow her private practice.

Since then, Jen has grown to over 30k followers on Instagram. She’s also increased her rate and quadrupled her income. And yeah…she’s done all of this in less than two years, which is freaking AMAZING!!

In this episode, we cover:

  • The biggest shift that happened for Jen as she started creating content on Instagram to grow her private practice
  • Why Jen was offering ‘negotiated rates’ to her clients in the beginning
  • How Jen has successfully RAISED her rates + filled her caseload
  • Jen’s turning point on Instagram with not only one, but TWO reels going viral
  • How Jen’s income has quadrupled since starting her Instagram
  • Advice for charging premium rates and building your caseload, regardless of where you live

Why is Everyone Else Growing on Instagram and I’m Not?

Épisode 6

mercredi 11 septembre 2024Durée 24:55

Are you a therapist who’s showing up on Instagram, but you’re not getting the results you want?

Maybe you’re already posting content to your page, but your following isn’t growing. Maybe you’re stuck in the ‘200 view jail’ and your engagement feels like it’s never gonna come back. Despite putting in what feels like solid effort, you still haven’t gained a client from Instagram.

Trust me - I’ve been there myself, and I know it sucks when you’re not growing on Instagram.

I know you see plenty of other therapists growing and getting results, and you’re wondering why you’re not. Growing on Instagram is NOT impossible. But..if it’s feeling hard, it may be time to shift and try something new. If you’re not sure what that is, you’re in the right place!

In this episode, I cover:

  • 6 reasons why therapists are NOT growing on Instagram
  • What you can do to combat these reasons

It’s time to set the record straight on something...

The Instagram algorithm is NOT out to get you!

Contrary to popular belief, Instagram is trying to help you. Their primary goal is to keep people on the app for as long as possible. When it comes down to it, the Instagram algorithm cares about human behavior. As therapists, we definitely resonate with this, because WE are experts in human behavior!

But...if you’re not seeing the results you want on Instagram, this is an episode you don’t want to miss! I’m sharing seven things that therapists need to know to beat the Instagram algorithm.

In this episode, I cover:

  • Realizing that the Instagram algorithm isn’t really out to get you
  • Adjusting your expectations + why your content may not be resonating with your ideal client like it should be
  • 7 tips for you to beat the Instagram algorithm as a therapist
  • Why you need to study your own behavior and see what you vibe with on Instagram

My Career Path to Becoming a Million Dollar Instagram Therapist

Épisode 1

mercredi 21 août 2024Durée 30:34

I can’t believe it, but my podcast is officially LIVE, and I’m so excited to be sharing my very first episode with you today!

I really want to show you what’s possible as a therapist, and give you the courage to take action on your goals and dreams. I believe that EVERY single therapist should be making 6+ figures in their practice - that’s my personal mission, and since helping hundreds of therapists do just that, I know it’s 100% possible!

In today’s episode, I’m discussing what my career path to becoming a million dollar Instagram therapist looked like, and the many ups and downs I experienced along the way.

I have chosen to do the scary, brave stuff on my journey, and while it hasn’t always been smooth sailing, it has brought me the results (and the life) I desired. I hope my story encourages you to step out of your comfort zone and take big, bold moves, regardless of where you are with your therapy practice!

In this episode, I cover:

  • What led to my decision to start my podcast and step into this new space
  • My journey from high-achieving and ‘always wanting to be the best at everything’ kid, to majoring in social work and eventually, pursuing a career in therapy
  • Why I want you to work smarter, not harder, and not feel like you have to do #allthethings as a therapist
  • My story of (almost) second-guessing myself to become a therapist and choose another career path that felt safer, or more ‘palatable’ to those around me
  • How my career path ultimately led me to starting my own private practice + the pivotal role Instagram played in my business journey
  • My decision to create my signature program, Private Practice Academy Bundle + my Reels Membership that was made specifically for therapists
