Dr. Sven Wydra studied Economics and received both his Master degree and PhD from the Hohenheim University. Since 2014, he has been coordinating the Business Unit "Life Sciences and Bioeconomy" within the Competence Center “Emerging Technologies”. His research areas comprise the analysis of innovation generation and diffusion in the bioeconomy, economic and ecological impact assessment of bioeconomy,  biotechnology, and circular economy, development of scenarios and strategies, and impact of policies on emerging technologies (e.g. biotechnology).

Dr. Tom Curran is an Associate Professor and Vice Principal for internationalisation at University College Dublin’s College of Engineering & Architecture and is the Director of the Environmental Technology Master of Science degree programme. Additionally, Dr. Tom Curran is leading the European Commission Horizon Europe project, BioBeo, on innovative education for bioeconomy. BioBeo has also been the backbone of this podcast, so we are exceptionally grateful to both BioBeo and Dr. Curran for their immense support.
