Barbara Blum is full of wisdom and grace. A long-time yoga teacher, she now focuses most of her time on working with energy, but not in the way most people expect. She is a channel for transmitting and activating powerful energies into this reality, most notably kundalini energy activation within individuals, which is known as KAP.

In this rich conversation, Barbara beautifully articulates so many fascinating truths and perspectives. She makes the spiritual, both practical and magical in equal measure. It's inspiring to hear how she ended up where she is on the planet right now, by just letting go and trusting the guidance. It is so amazing to see an older woman in her fifties just follow her heart.

But one of the most important messages in this whole conversation is around the seeking for peak spiritual experiences. Barbara makes a very good point about not comparing, that everybody's path is perfect for them, and big 'avalanche' moments don't always get you on the fast track. Of course, in reality, there is no track!

Behind Our Eyes shares the mesmerising stories of the profound and direct spiritual experiences of older women from around the world. Liane is the creator and host of this podcast. A fifty-something entrepreneur from the north of England, whose life changed after a profound spiritual experience in Mexico in early 2022. This event led to many experiences as the year unfolded. And it prompted the creation of this podcast as a vehicle of expression through which to share her story and the stories of other amazing women.

In this episode, Liane explains what happened to her and the events leading up to it. She reflects on some of the deep internal struggles and realisations she was going through, before having a dramatic response to a modality known as a Kundalini Activation Process. Using words as well as she can, she describes that specific event in detail, also adding two very personal voice notes she captured during her time on that sacred land.

Liane is learning to accept that life is unfolding for her, rather than seeing it as something to be moulded to her will through effort and striving. It's led her intuitively to learn more about energy, and how to work with it, how to notice it, and ultimately begin to "innerstand" how powerful we really are.

Her story continues. Events are still unfolding. And through this podcast, this episode, and the ones to come, she is releasing fear and following the path home to authentic self.

Estella is a modern day medicine woman with an interesting mixed heritage, currently based in the UK. A mother to three grown-up children, and grandmother to two, she embodies multiple female archetypes through her expression. Her strength and confidence as a leader and space holder shines through in this lively conversation.

With a previous career as a yoga teacher and corporate wellbeing practitioner, Estella is very honest about her battles with addiction and how this was a catalyst for her healing journey. Plant medicine has been central to her expansion, and her respect and reverence for our plant teachers is an important key theme of this episode.

Estella readily explains how much her life has shifted, into a way of being that truly surrenders to the guidance of spirit. The deep transformation she went through during the 4 day Danza de la Luna in Mexico in 2021, taught her to completely surrender. That trust and receptivity is resulting in a growing community, as well as multiple events, projects and collaborations all focused on connecting us to something beyond our physical reality and conventional lifestyle.

Helen Jones: Light Language. Energy. Channelling. Healing. The Mind. BEMASS.

Helen Jones is an amazing healer and channel from the midlands in the UK. Like Kat in the previous episode, her story involves both loss and chronic illness which led to the opening of her gifts. Her journey was very difficult at times, and she readily admits it has taken her some time to build her confidence and accept the abilities she has.

A key expression of Helen's energy is through light language. And as you will hear in this episode, it activated in her in multiple ways, including through song and scribbles. She uses this beautiful vocal frequency in her work as a healer and is able to call it in effortlessly as she does so.
