Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas and welcome too the first annual We've Got Back Issues Holiday Special! Where all faiths and denominations are catered for provided you enjoy a bit of festive cheer! To celebrate the season of goodwill to all men the two men of this podcast, Sleeves and Galactosh, examine... a couple of men! The Marvel variety! Firstly we check in with Hawkeye or should we say Hawkguy? looking at the TWO Holiday issues during Matt Faction's much celebrated run on the character. You 'll love it bro... or is it dog? Welcome back to The World's Greatest Comic Magazine! Even if Stan Lee does say so himself... as early as issue 4! In episode one your hosts Sleeves and Galactosh tried to revisit the first ten issues of what would become the first family of superhero comics… namely the Fantastic Four! Having bitten off a little more than they could chew for one episode they cleverly split it in two, and here's that second part! Join them as they marvel at the first Doctor Doom and Sub Mariner team up, are baffled by Kurrgo Master of Planet X, get to grips with the bizarre abilities of the Puppet Master, watch incredulously as the Fantastic Four pay off their debts by going to Hollywood to make a movie and fall about laughing at a ridiculously convoluted story in which Reed Richards and Doctor Doom switch bodies!

This month Sleeves and Galactosh travel back to the mid-ninties and examine what was almost the end of comics! Two relatively new upstarts fresh on the comic publishers block, Valiant Comics and Image Comics, collide in the crossover you never knew you didn't want! Now known in infamy as Deathmate. Messy incoherent plot? check. Hordes of derivative characters you've never heard of? Yup. Overhyped beyond what they could possibly deliver? Uh-huh. Poorly planned and crippled by delays? You betcha! An aftermath that sent shock waves through the industry and likely caused the closure of comic book stores? Sadly yes. An unmitigated disaster? Well.. that is what one of the creators called it.
