Now, the reason that this is coming up is because recently a coach friend of mine in the industry. (I did ask if I could share this story with my listeners. And she said, yes)
She reached out and asked, how would I respond to this email from a client?
She received an email from a student that purchased her signature course. The student wrote, the course was wonderful, but I've been watching your free content for years, and I feel like now there really wasn't much, in the course that you hadn't already taught through your free content... so I would like a partial refund on my purchase of your course.
Today I would love for you to listen to my heartfelt, real explanation on the benefits of paid versus free education.

29 Sep 2022
00:14:35
Let's talk about overhead. This is almost like a dirty word in the wedding industry, right? Very often, when I sit down with a new wedding pro business owner that is ready to scale their business, one of the first conversations we have is about their numbers.
When I ask, "Okay, tell me about your overhead."
The answer I notoriously get is, "Well, I don't really have much overhead. Like a couple things here and there."
I follow with, "Well. We're going to actually show that you have a ton of overhead by the end of this conversation."
Listen now as I talk about the majority of overhead in the wedding industry is LABOR and how to navigate and control this expense.

A business niche is a specialized or focused area of a broader market that businesses can serve to differentiate themselves from the competition. A niche strategy includes selecting your target audience, defining an unmet or underserved need, researching your customer base, creating a business plan, and marketing your business to your specific audience.
In this episode, I had the pleasure to sit down and talk with Kelly Ann Peck, who is a business coach for events pros at Emerson Reese Creative, where we had a comprehensive and extensive talk about understanding your niche, the dos and don’ts in creating the niche process, and the importance of focusing on your niche area.
Thanks for listening!
