Inside our interim report: Review of the National Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Agreement
Season 1 · Episode 2
mercredi 25 juin 2025 • Duration 13:50
Governments need to work together to improve outcomes for people using mental health and suicide prevention services. That's the purpose of the National Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Agreement that Commonwealth, state and territory governments signed up to in 2022.
But the interim report of the PC's review of the Agreement has found it is not fit for purpose and the next agreement should take a new approach.
In this episode, Richard speaks with PC Commissioner Selwyn Button about what the PC's review has uncovered so far and what the road ahead looks like for Australia's mental health and suicide prevention services.
