In this episode we have a special guest, as today we speak with one of the early woman executive leaders who paved the way of success for many. in 1977, Diane Day Sanders began to work for Sysco in their finance department. Many years later she became the 2nd female corporate officer and the first female Sr. Vice President of Finance & Treasurer. Sysco at the time, was a family based company that grew through many acquisitions. In order to control the supply chain costs of distribution, she and her team created the Sysco accounting practices, reporting, credit management and operating system standards. This led to common metrics used to measure activity in the supply chain for the many family companies, who are now Sysco owned.
Diane shares some key aspects for woman in the business world; as well as, the secret sauce of what makes a company successful and a supply chain successful. As a woman leader in a fortune 100 company, she has a lot to share.
