Belerion | A Research Proposal
Season 3 · Episode 9
lundi 23 décembre 2024 • Duration 01:07:08
There are plenty of interesting geomantic snippets in this talk, though it's mainly a proposal for a longterm research project into the subtle-energy patterns and behaviours of ancient sites in West Penwith in Cornwall.
Penwith is dense with ancient sites and it's a nice potted area for research like this - and there are quite a few prehistory maniacs living here, to do such work.
Though this is primarily addressed to people in Penwith, this proposed project could be of interest to people elsewhere. I hope it sparks some thoughts and initiatives in the coming time.
If we're working with subtle earth energies, we need to get to know how they work, by systematically studying the way they actually operate - and from a psychic-intuitive, geomantic viewpoint.
I'm happy with this talk, and I hope you enjoy it.
Love, Palden.
Belerion | The Shining Land
Season 3 · Episode 8
vendredi 20 décembre 2024 • Duration 01:08:04
The Shining Land and how and why it shines. Belerion is the ancient name of West Penwith in Cornwall. In Penwith we have more ancient sites per square mile than anywhere in Europe.
This is the first part of a talk given at the Aha Class with Palden, on 18th December 2024 in Penzance, Cornwall.
I propose that the whole of West Penwith is one big ancient site (an enormous cliff sanctuary). Why did ancient Penwithians bother to build so many quoits, stone circles and cairns? What was their thinking and what were they seeking to achieve?
In this hour-long talk I go into the sacred technology of Neolithic and Bronze Age Penwithians, and what drove them to build ancient sites.
The Vine of Death
lundi 17 juin 2024 • Duration 33:30
Well, it's not that bad, but there's meaning in the name. I've just been to an Ayahuasca ceremony, to seek some truth and resolution, and the Grandmother came to me, or I went to her, and I surfed a rather big, surging wave.
Ayahuasca, an Amazonian tree-vine, is called the Vine of Death because, while you don't actually die, what happens resembles the experience of dying and it's good practice for it. This, of course, is rather useful to me because, as a cancer patient, that journey is not far away. I got some practice.
The Grandmother is the spirit or goddess of ayahuasca, to whom we are challenged to yield, to receive her teaching and blessing. I met her - we all did - and she treated me gently, then to give me a shake-up.
The journey was very much about resolving and re-weaving some key threads in my life, shedding some baggage and opening to the future. Yes, a person at the end of their life does have a future - in a way, quite a big one.
Four men from three countries, plus a magic cat, travelled a light-year or two in the otherworld and returned, and this is the story as seen through my eyes.
It's in two parts, covering the first and second days of the ceremony. This is a very personal story, with some tears and chuckles thrown in.
Those of you who know me or have been following me, or who have been listening to or reading my cancer story, Blessings that Bones Bring, might find this interesting. If you're new to my blogs and podcasts, I have no idea what you'll think of this one, though I hope you enjoy the ride!
This is part one, and part two follows soon. 33 minutes.
Earth as Seen from Outside
Season 2 · Episode 47
vendredi 24 mai 2024 • Duration 36:57
Down here in Penwith we get a lot of wind - we're stuck out in the ocean and it loves blowing us away with its power and glory. It's one of those things that happen in parts of Planet Earth. And that's what this is about. Conditions on Earth as seen from the outside.
In coming months I'll tell you more about things I learned from the Council of Nine - this is the first of a few. What they taught was so multi-dimensional that it's difficult to cover it all briefly. In this podcast I present one aspect of it, for your consideration.
It's all about how our planet was set up and the larger picture on our current global situation, which is the consequence of the application throughout history of human free will. People might legitimately ask, 'How can the Universe be benign, and how can God be Love when we see things like Gaza happening?', but there is a simple answer.
It is a product of human free will. And collectively as a planetary race we need to apply our free will to deconstruct such tragedies and make them obsolete.
Recorded in May 2024, down in the bluebell woods below our farm. The wind sounds like a powerful gale, but actually it was simply a brisk Cornish ocean breeze rattling in the leaves of the trees. 37 mins long.
With love, Palden.
A Trip to the Iron Age
Season 2 · Episode 45
vendredi 26 avril 2024 • Duration 29:10
Recorded at an Iron Age Courtyard House up the hill on our farm.
It's all about life in the Iron Age in Cornwall, 2,000 years ago. This was the Celtic period - though the Celts were a culture, not one people. In West Cornwall many of them were descendant of the people of the Bronze Age.
This is about life and reality systems in our time, in the Iron Age, and also in the Bronze Age and the Neolithic - how people saw life and the world in each of these times, and what we can learn from it now.
30 Mins. With love from Cornwall. Palden.
Meditation
Season 3 · Episode 43
samedi 24 février 2024 • Duration 34:31
It's good to just make a habit of it - like breakfast.
Not a big thing, or a discipline we cannot measure up to. Take it easy, but make a basic commitment to building it into your life - even if just once a week.
Because that's fifty times in a year, and 500 times in a decade.
You notch up quite a bit of experience that way.
I'm not a meditation teacher or even a very good meditator, but I've been at it a long time, and here are a few thoughts and stories from my own way of doing it.
On Sunday evenings at 7pm GMT a group of us in different countries meditates together at the same time, wherever we are. We each do our own thing, but together, with a simple shared intent to raise the world's level an inch by doing so. If that interests you: www.palden.co.uk/meditations.html
The podcast is 34 minutes long. Recorded sitting by the stream on the farm in Cornwall. With love from me, Paldywan Kenobi.
Time
Season 3 · Episode 41
vendredi 27 octobre 2023 • Duration 37:46
This is about time. Time is what stops everything happening all at once. It stretches us out across a kaleidoscopic storyboard of life-experiences. But in the end, the seemingly lengthy sequence of days and daily life experiences melts into relative insignificance.
It's what we have become by going through life that matters most. It's the burnishing and polishing effect of pleasure and pain. Our inner evolution is not something that is hooked directly into time: the progress we make depends more on willingness and openness than on time.
If we devote much of our energy avoiding experiential intensity in our lives, we evolve more slowly. Our experience and usage of the time we have is very much a matter of deep choice. Living life to the full. Not just the comfortable, pleasant stuff but the grindstone, the fire and the soulquake too.
It's 37 minutes long. This time the recording studio is a field on our farm, with an appearance from the migrating geese of Grumbla.
With love from me, Paldywan Kenobi.
Badger Setts and Platform Barrows
Season 2 · Episode 38
mardi 12 septembre 2023 • Duration 32:10
I'm up on Botrea Barrows in West Penwith, Cornwall, recounting why they're there, and what life was like 5,500-3,500 years ago in the megalithic era, in the neolithic and bronze ages.
It's also about the reasons why the ancient people of Britain went to so much trouble to build sites like this. They weren't fools, they did it to create benefits, and they were onto something that is relevant to our day.
It has something to do with building a sustainable civilisation - an advanced civilisation that works more or less in harmony with nature. Although it did come to an end, megalithic bronze age civilisation lasted around 1,200 years - pretty good.
Introduced by a Cornish chough and outroduced by oystercatchers and a raven, at Carn Les Boel, just south of Land's End.
Healing the World 2
Season 2 · Episode 37
vendredi 19 mai 2023 • Duration 32:45
Second in a series of thoughts and observations about world healing. This for people interested in helping the world evolve and break through, using meditation and innerwork.
When I was organising gatherings and camps in the 1980s, some quite remarkable things took place that demonstrated the capacity of innerwork to change things. In the early 1990s I was asked to write a book on behalf of the Council of Nine, some cosmic beings, not of this Earth, who had a lot to say about world healing, and this set me off on a path.
This later developed into two innerwork projects working with this - the Hundredth Monkey Project and the Flying Squad. In these we developed a bundle of techniques and built up a momentum over a twenty year period, in which we gathered a lot of experience around it all.
Now, in late life, and while I can, I'm bringing together my thoughts on world healing in writing and podcasts, to leave to posterity, in case they prove useful. And this is part two (there might be five-ish). 32 minutes long, with evening birdsong on our farm at the beginning and end, and lovely music by my friend Galen in Oregon.
With love from me, Paldywan Kenobi.
Accelerating Earth's Evolution
Season 2 · Episode 36
mercredi 26 avril 2023 • Duration 55:41
What extraterrestrials think about the situation on planet Earth, and how we can break through and save our world.
This is me reading from a chapter taken from the original manuscript of the book The Only Planet of Choice - essential briefings from deep space, which I wrote in 1991-92. It contained material from the Council of Nine, some high-level cosmic beings, channelled by Phyllis Schlemmer during the 1970s-90s.
It's a series of interviews with Tom, the spokesperson of the Nine, by an interesting group of people who worked with the Nine, including scientist Andrija Puharich and former racing driver Sir John Whitmore, together with others. Interspersed by commentaries written by me. This is the pre-publication version, containing information that was removed from the book before publication.
It was a great honour to write this book, which came out in 1993. An interesting listen, introduced and outroduced by the early morning birds at our farm in West Penwith, Cornwall.
Love, Palden
