Brian Downes has spent nearly 30 years helping leaders and organisations perform better. But ask him what shaped him most and he'll talk about a frozen lake in Mongolia, a mountain in Kerry and the grandmothers he lost when he was young.


He's a Performance Architect by trade, working with CEOs and leadership teams of scaling businesses to figure out why performance isn't where it should be and fixing it. He's climbed Kilimanjaro, been arrested in Ghana, crossed Lake Khövsgöl in Mongolia with a group of strangers and coached the Ireland Masters Hockey team to a World Cup bronze medal among other adventures.


Brian believes that the best performers, in business and in life, are the ones who've learned to find their way through genuine uncertainty. Not because they had all the answers, but because they kept moving anyway.

He's the founder of Purple Flame Consulting, Co-founder of Performance Nerds, creator of the Performance Architecture Model, and President of the Professional Speaking Association of Ireland.

It is designed to protect you against all enemies that incessantly attack your body each day.  When you have a weakened immune system you are more likely to get viruses and diseases.  These are all lifestyle related. Hence why you taking personal responsibility for your immune system and health is key.  Your immune system is an amazing defence but you must prioritise strengthening it daily.  In this episode each tip I share can be easily and swiftly implemented.  I can guarantee you 100% that once you implement by tips you will notice a swift increase in your health and any form of illness will improve and become less frequent.  Listen and implement.

When you truly love yourself there are no boundaries.  You become inpenetrable to the words and actions of others.  You are a unique human.  You are you!!  You must be you and exhibit the true essence of you in all that you do and say in order to truly experience happiness in life.  However self love is sadly rare and in this episode I share with you crucial tips on how you can improve it.  This could be the most important episode of my podcast. Please pay attention and put what I say into action.  Self love is an evolving process and is a lifetime project. Make sure you start.

Are you taking positive progressive steps daily towards happiness? We should all have a different perception of what happiness means to us. Society conditioning has sadly seen most chasing a perceived happiness that is impossible to attain.  Society gives a false impression of what happiness is.  Happiness is an individual perception and it´s usually not about the attainment of things or power.  If you are to truly experience happiness in your life you need to become very clear on what it means to you. What is happiness to you in relationships? Mind/Body/Health? Professional Life? Financial Position? Experiences in life?  These are important questions to answer.  Become clear on them and then ensure that your daily decisions, actions and behaviours are taking you closer.

In this episode of The MindBodyHealth Podcast I share my thoughts on the supplement industry.  This is an industry I invested heavily in for many years trusting proposed benefits I was getting in return.  However when I decided to research and study the industry a bit more as well as evaluate the real benefits I was experiencing my trust diminished.  What I realised is that the industry is built on genius but misleading marketing claims and that the vast majority products are just expensive urine and cause of increased toxicity.  NOTE I am not saying that all supplements are bad but for sure the vast majority are. It´s a massive industry and like all industries it´s driver is profit not human health and wellbeing . I hope what I share makes you start asking questions.  Do your own research and see what you find.
