Canisius head coach Trevor Large is our first guest on our first podcast. Coach Large is in his fourth season as head coach at Canisius and is in his seventh season overall with the program, serving as an assistant under Dave Smith prior to Smith joining RPI in 2017. Coach Large has also had stops at Army and AIC, and he’s a former forward at Ferris State who is from Brampton, Ont. We talked about his introduction to coaching as well as some topics on this year’s Canisius team. The Griffins have raised their points percentage by almost 300 points this season, finishing the Atlantic Hockey regular season with a .615 points percentage this season after finishing last season with a .361 points percentage.
