Naturally, Elyse and Laurent insisted she join them on the podcast for an in-depth conversation about the use of AI as a medium for art and the value of a conceptual visual art piece created using algorithms.

Clutter Bravado Ep 25: Rebuilding LA with SIA feat. Ron Woodson and Jaime Rummerfield11 Mar 202500:36:20

This week, Elyse and Laurent sit down with Save Iconic Architecture founders Ron Woodson and Jaime Rummerfield to discuss the massive task of rebuilding the Pacific Palisades and Altadena neighborhoods affected by the 2025 Los Angeles Fires. Referencing the 1945 Arts + Architecture Magazine Case Study Project that tasked historic architects like Charles Eames and Richard Neutra with creating reasonable, reproducible, and sustainable housing for a new age, SIA aims to create a rebuilding effort that can maintain and expand upon the iconic heritage and culture of Los Angeles architecture for communities in need of immediate solutions after the devastating loss following the LA fires.

How can LA rebuild without sacrificing architectural integrity, community culture, and heritage? Save Iconic Architecture believes collaboration and knowledge of Los Angeles History may be the solution.

Clutter Bravado Ep 24: The Art of Elysium: Creator vs Celebrity Culture with Jenn Howell04 Mar 202501:10:15

This weeks episode asks the question: If you could separate the art from the artist, would you want to?

Laurent and Elyse sit down with founder of Art of Elysium Jennifer Howell to talk about navigating the personalities of creatives and artists while prioritizing the creative process and the sharing of art. Art of Elysium works to provide art resources to those unable to reach them otherwise, working with kids to help grow their inner artist and provide them the freedom and inspiration to make their dreams a reality. Jenn speaks candidly about her own healing process through art, her connection to spirituality and finding purpose through creation. From meditations inspired by David Lynch to her close personal relationships with famed (and infamous) actors, writers, and musicians, Jennifer Howell doesn't hold back on sharing what drives her to keep supporting art, in all its mediums, in spite of the human darkness and ego that can complicate our relationship with it.

While some interior designers lead with story, Kalman begins with a checklist. Creating a home for his clients requires understanding of both form and function: from whether they read enough for a reading light, or work at home enough for office privacy, Jason focuses on the left-brain analytical approach to the art of interior design.

Clutter Bravado Ep 26: How to Add Romance to Interior Design18 Mar 202500:51:37

This week, Elyse and Laurent sit down with LA Design legend Robert Steloff to talk Romance.

In a world dominated by online shopping and digital renderings, what happens when we slow down and truly engage with interior design? In this episode of Clutter Bravado, we sit down with renowned designer Robert Steloff to explore the lost art of experiencing design in person—what we’re calling the romance of interior design.

From the tactile pleasure of running your hand across a handcrafted wood table to the personal connection formed when meeting skilled furniture makers, Robert shares why in-person experiences, sensory design, and artisanal craftsmanship are essential to creating meaningful interiors. We discuss the importance of high-quality materials, custom furniture, and intentional home design, as well as why a space can’t be fully appreciated through a screen.

If you’re a design enthusiast, homeowner, or interior professional looking to reconnect with authentic, timeless, and experiential interior design, this conversation will change the way you see—and feel—your home.

Clutter Bravado Ep 48: Is LA Manufacturing the Future of Design? Make it in LA with Kevin Kolanowski04 Sep 202500:56:32

This week, Elyse and Laurent get serious about their love for Los Angeles and all California has to offer as they sit down with LA Manufacturer, Founder of Fuse Lighting Kevin Kolanowski. Long-time friend of Laurent Rebuffel and Kimberly Denman, Kevin began his career in design as a design student in Chicago who relocated to Los Angeles to pursue his career as an interior designer. What he didn't expect, was that a need for a piece of lighting that did not yet exist would create a path toward becoming one of the most notable LA-based makers of fine and luxury lighting fixtures over the course of 25 years.

In a time of economic instability and an unpredictable future for importing and outsourcing within the interior design industry, Kevin and Laurent share something of a saving grace in common: local manufacturing and custom production. Kevin, through Fuse Lighting, is known to work closely with designers, creating custom pieces that the greater market lacks, in a Los Angeles-based workroom. This was no accident, either: Kevin shares his story of knocking on doors at workrooms and warehouses in DTLA, curious of what they were creating, and whether he might be able to work along with them.

Finding vendors and custom workrooms is a challenge for any designer, but Kevin and Laurent share their experiences building their networks and creating a tightly-knit team of designers, creators, artisans, and vendors to support their vision for great interior design in Los Angeles.

Clutter Bravado Ep 44: THIS is Why You NEED an Interior Designer with Kourosh Babaeian29 Jul 202501:11:47

This week, Elyse and Laurent sit down with their dear friend and client Interior Designer Kourosh Babaeian (kbstudio.la), a young designer that has found the secret to staying busy and managing several projects at a time, while maintaining his inner child's desire to create beautiful spaces.

In this episode, we discuss the importance of hiring a designer rather than going it alone in designing one's own home. While some homeowners might want to DIY their home renovation, or decorate their home using the latest trends in home decor, Kourosh shares why this could be a huge mistake.

Stemming from his early childhood, Kourosh knew he was destined to be a successful designer. Through the power of raw talent, education at UCLA, and a willingness to ask questions, plus a hint of manifestation and a little luck, Kourosh remains in-demand as a hot young designer with an impressive portfolio.

Clutter Bravado Episode 43: Design from the "Outside, In" with William Graper22 Jul 202501:05:02

*Blending Psychology, Fashion, and Interiors*

This week, Elyse and Laurent are joined by renowned fashion stylist-turned-designer William Graper. William Graper [williamgraper.com] created a name for himself in the New York fashion scene early into his career, getting his foot in the door at Interview Magazine, followed by an impressive tenure at Conde Nast. Williams keen eye for details and styling brought him into the world of interiors almost reluctantly, where he is now able to blend his own impeccable taste with his education in psychology to create a unique "outside, in" approach to working with clients.

This interview was a fascinating departure from the usual conversation around the business of design, into the inner world of a designer who blends vulnerability, transparency, and a delicate touch to create homes that aren't just beautiful to photograph, but are meant to be lived in.
