Hadith 2:


It was narrated that Anas ibn Malik (r.a) said: Three men (raht) came to the apartments of

the wives of the Prophet (pbuh) to ask about the worship of the Prophet (pbuh) . When

they were told about it, it was as if they thought it was little. Hence they said: How can we

compare ourselves to the Prophet (pbuh), for he has been forgiven his past and future sins?

One of them said: As for me, I shall pray qiyam al-layl forever. Another one said: I shall fast every day of my life and never not fast. The third one said: I shall keep away from women

and never get married. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) came to them and said: “Are you

the ones who said such and such? Indeed, by Allah, I am the one among you who fears Allah the most and is most mindful of Him, but I fast and I do not fast; I pray and I sleep; and I marry women. Whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not of me.”

Hadith 1:


It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (ra) said: The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'Whoever shows enmity to a close friend of Mine, I shall declare war on him. My slave does not draw close to Me by doing anything more beloved to Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My slave continues to draw close to Me by doing supererogatory deeds until I love him. When I love him, I will be his hearing with which he hears, his sight with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. If he were to ask Me for something, I would surely give it to him, and if he were to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it. I do not hesitate about anything that I do as much as I hesitate about taking the soul of the believer; he hates death and I hate to hurt him.' Narrated by al-Bukhari
