Ever wondered how theism and atheism intersect within the realm of witchcraft? Join me and my husband, Ken, as we embark on a revealing exploration of our personal spiritual practices and the unique way they blend into our lives. Ken shares his creative journey with "The Gila Monster Rides," a YouTube channel where he delves into a plethora of interests. As we peel back the layers of Ken's family history, we uncover tales of practical resourcefulness, like his grandmother's famous sparrow pie, and discuss how these roots have influenced his embrace of the "witch" label and connection to a broader community.
Balancing spiritual practices with the chaos of daily life can be a challenge, but it’s one we dive into with gusto. Je reveals his two favorite rituals: a calming bedtime ceremony involving Florida water and prayers with the hum of a box fan, and a daily writing task inspired by The Artist's Way. These rituals have rekindled old passions and infused our lives with deeper meaning. We touch on decision-making, intuition, and the struggles of maintaining spiritual consistency amidst life's demands, all while navigating the occasional imposter syndrome within our witchcraft journey.
From hot sauce adventures to the transformative power of morning pages, our conversation is a candid and humorous exploration of how we infuse our spirituality into everyday experiences. I encourage you to check out our multimedia content on motorcycles, where cinematic flair meets education. Plus, there’s a tantalizing teaser about a memorable escapade in Colorado Springs that promises more laughs and insights. Tune in for engaging stories, thoughtful reflections, and a hearty dose of humor as we invite you into our unique world of spirituality and creativity.

In this very casual episode I'm talking to Corey B of Corey's Cauldron. They'll tell you about what's cooking up in said cauldron, they flip the script and interview me a little, and we even put an impromptu spell together! I also want to tell you about the giveaway Corey is doing over on instagram. Sarah over at Flora & Function takes the gorgeous design by Chellbot and created some super cute ornaments for Corey's Cauldron! Once again we're back at Anahata's Purpose! This was recorded live, in a variety of spaces, at Anahata's Purpose. I talked to a variety of people from all over the US, plus one friend of the maple persuasion, and they answered the questions about choice and told a couple stories of spellcraft. Again, these are just the snack-sized questions. Be sure to catch the longer interviews about Anahata's Purpose, similar to my AP 2021 episode last year, this December.

When we went to Anahata's Purpose, Kacie and I decided to join forces and she agreed to come on my show once a month for a little bite (a snack, if you will) of what's going on in her corner of the world, and how she manages it with her anxiety issues. She shares a brief story of her Anahata's Purpose experience, then helps me tell you about how you can get one of my wonderful Patreon spell boxes. Choose from Protection, Dream, or Community. In this episode I got to talk to the utterly delightful Byron Ballard, rootworker, witch, and writer in Appalachia. Byron talks about what it's like to explore witchcraft in Appalachia, about how to begin working with ancestors, and we end up talking a lot more about chickens and cornbread than I ever expected to in this sort of podcast.
This is a longer episode, and I'm not really editing very much because I am less than a week out from having hip replacement surgery and frankly I just can't face it right now. But Byron is so interesting, well-spoken, and kind that I know you'll love hearing the entire conversation as much as I adored having it. I also want to let you know that I'll be doing a spellbox giveaway in the next Snack Sized episode that goes out so be sure to catch that next week!

This episode is going to be somewhat different- it was recorded live, in a variety of spaces, at Anahata's Purpose. So the sound quality isn't what I'd call exceptional. The content, however, is just as great as ever- a variety of people from all over the US (plus one friend of the maple persuasion in a later episode) answered the questions about choice, and told a story or two. These are just the snack-sized questions. Be sure to catch the longer interviews about Anahata's Purpose, similar to my AP 2021 episode last year, later on. As usual, it was filled with both laughter and tears.
