Persona Vs. Shadow

Saison 2 · Épisode 40

mardi 2 mai 2023Durée 19:41

The concept of personas and shadows, and why it's crucial for us to embrace our identity. Tonesha speaks about her experience as a customer service representative to explain how personas are masks that we wear based on the situation and the audience we are dealing with. However, when we wear these masks for too long, we often forget our identity, and this is where our shadows come into play.

Shadows are the parts of ourselves that we hide from others and sometimes even from ourselves. We try to suppress these aspects of ourselves, but they have a way of coming out, especially when we are challenged or when we need to confront them. However, as the host points out, it is only when we embrace both our personas and shadows that we can truly be our authentic selves.

In our quest to become the best version of ourselves, we need to accept and integrate all parts of ourselves. This includes the good, the bad, and the ugly. We need to remember that we are human and that none of us are perfect. The real you is the one you don't have to think about; it just happens naturally.

Overall, this episode is a powerful reminder of the importance of embracing our true selves and accepting all parts of ourselves. It encourages us to let go of the masks we wear and be proud of who we really are.

Action Vs. Activity

Saison 2 · Épisode 39

mardi 25 avril 2023Durée 20:05

Tonesha talks about the difference between action and activity and how important it is to prioritize purposeful actions when it comes to achieving our goals. She shares her personal experiences with procrastination and avoidance and encourages listeners to focus on handling business rather than just being busy.

Key Points:

- Busy does not always equal productive. Many of us have time stealers that are just activities, such as social media or procrastination.

- It's important to be purposeful in our actions, especially when working towards our goals and aspirations.

- Avoidance and procrastination only delay progress and can cause overwhelm and frustration.

- Sometimes uncomfortable conversations or tasks must be tackled in order to achieve the desired outcome.

- Prioritizing action over activity can lead to a more fulfilling and successful life.

Outside Perspective

Saison 2 · Épisode 38

mardi 18 avril 2023Durée 29:38

Tonesha is back and talking about the importance of having an outside perspective when dealing with personal issues. Despite all the work we do within ourselves, sometimes we're too close to our problems to see them clearly. She emphasizes the fact that seeking help from loved ones is crucial and that our inner circle can help us when we're struggling. Don’t try to hide our pain and wounds, as those around us may be able to sense our struggle even if we think we're masking it well.

Tonesha opens up and shares a personal story of being confronted by a pastor about her struggles, and how she realized that she wasn't as good at hiding her pain as she thought. She mentions the societal pressure to be a "strong woman" and how it can lead to the suppression of our emotions and struggles. Her message is clear: it's okay to ask for help, and we shouldn't be afraid to open up to our loved ones when we're struggling. Seeking an outside perspective can often provide clarity and a fresh perspective on our problems.

What's Most Important?

Saison 2 · Épisode 37

mardi 11 avril 2023Durée 26:09

In this episode, the host reflects on the importance of evaluating what is most important in our relationships and lives. While it's natural to want to learn new things and try new techniques, it's essential to consider what truly matters in our relationships with ourselves and others. The host encourages listeners to evaluate what is most important to them and prioritize accordingly.

Love On You!

Saison 2 · Épisode 36

mardi 4 avril 2023Durée 16:11

In this episode of the UR Immeasurable Podcast, the focus is on loving oneself with forgiveness. Though many people make efforts to take care of themselves externally, such as with exercise and good hygiene, they often neglect the internal aspects of self-love. Forgiveness is key in this regard, as internalizing trauma and harboring grudges can lead to physical tension and pain. Forgiveness allows you to set yourself free from the judgments that you place on yourself, and it is not about accepting or condoning the behavior of others. Instead, it gives you the space and freedom to grow and transform.

Tonesha emphasizes that forgiving yourself is just as important as forgiving others, as everyone makes mistakes and reacts poorly to situations from time to time. Holding onto guilt and unforgiveness can lead to physical and emotional burdens that can be lifted with a little self-love. Setting yourself free from these negative emotions and being kind to yourself is the ultimate act of self-love.
