Hoover: The worst sales promotion, ever
jeudi 22 septembre 2022 • Durée 36:40
27 years ago, Hoover offered two free flights with any £100 purchase. Today, it’s possibly the worst sales promotion of all time.
In 1992, the UK branch of the vacuum manufacturer, Hoover, offered a sweet promotion: If a customer bought any product worth £100, he’d get two free round-trip flights to the United States!
For the 84-year-old electronics brand, it was meant to be an eye-catching way to boost dwindling sales, escape the gloom of a recession, and shrug off increased competition.
Instead, it led to the destruction of the company — a precipitous downfall that saw multimillion-dollar losses and customer revolts.

The History of Medicine
jeudi 8 septembre 2022 • Durée 48:08
This is not a full scale history of medicine - more a look at some of the wild medical practices and old-timey treatments performed by our “doctor” forefathers.
How about: cocaine for hay fever, treating malaria with a magic word, using mercury on syphilis, using vinegar soaked rags to stop heart palpitations, curing a hangover with shit and owl eggs mixed together, or sticking smoke up your arse as a remedy for cholera.

Cheryl Cole Farting vs Tom Hanks and Q Anon
lundi 15 août 2022 • Durée 44:49
Q Anon have started false rumours about Tom Hanks. Jesse Esinberg is acting like a total dick. Karl Pilkington may not have always been telling the truth. Cheryl Cole farts a nailer. Charlie Nicolas is, and always will be, a banger. The worst rapper of all time wraps up this week's show.

Charlie Chaplin
lundi 8 août 2022 • Durée 41:22
Charlie Chaplin (Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin Jr. KBE) was an English comic actor, filmmaker, and composer who rose to fame in the era of silent film.
Chaplin wrote, directed, produced, edited, starred in, and composed the music for most of his films. He was a perfectionist, and his financial independence enabled him to spend years on the development and production of a picture. His films are characterised by slapstick combined with pathos, typified in the Tramp's struggles against adversity. Many contain social and political themes, as well as autobiographical elements. He received an Honorary Academy Award for "the incalculable effect he has had in making motion pictures the art form of this century" in 1972, as part of a renewed appreciation for his work.

Here's a sneak peak at the "top quality" content you are missing if you aren't on our Patreon.
This was out a month ago on Patreon and has probably dated poorly - we start with the rail strikes as an example. Anyway, if you don't want out of date stuff, you know the script.

A Sh*t Talent Show
lundi 1 août 2022 • Durée 47:30
We've jumped the shark and decided to do a 'talent show' using mostly visual clips from YouTube, farts, finger clicking and teeth clicking. It really is a disaster.
