Veronica Mansour (she/her) is a composer/lyricist/artist. She is primarily known for her musical Dive (previously known as Shimcheong: A Folktale), which amassed over 100k followers online and over 16 million streams on an animated music video of its titular song in Korea. Julia graduated from Harvard University in May 2022 and is First-Year in the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. In her first year out of college, she has been named the 2022 Fred Ebb Award winner, Playbill’s Featured Songwriter of the Month, A Woman to Watch on Broadway, and the recipient of the 2022 Harvardwood Artist Launch Fellowship under the mentorship of composer Laurence O’Keefe (Legally Blonde, Heathers). She is an active volunteer with Central Synagogue’s unhoused breakfast program and the founder of a 2020 voter registration/Census count initiative for the New York unhoused community. Through the pandemic, Madeline has worked with NYC Test & Trace Corps to bring mobile vaccine buses and PPE to unhoused New Yorkers. In 2018, Madeline created the Blair School of Music Student Citizen Award given to a female student demonstrating excellence in personal character and contributions to the community. Prior to that, she completed a 5-year run as a standby with Come From Away on Broadway, performing in the show well over 400 times in 5 different roles. Prior to that, she spent time working in some of the preeminent theaters in Washington, DC, performing in the ensembles of 110 In The Shade at Ford's Theatre, The Secret Garden for The Shakespeare Theatre, Gun & Powder (workshop ) at Signature Theatre, as well as standing by for the Pre-Broadway run of Come From Away. Happy was honored to be chosen to play the role of Beulah in Come From Away for the 20th Anniversary Memorial Concert for 9/11 in Washington, DC at the Lincoln Memorial, which was attended by roughly 10,000 people. She has also appeared on the Come From Away national tour and performed the role of Hannah for the Come From Away Tiny Desk Concert for NPR. After working in the creative department at Jujamcyn Theaters (working on such shows as Kinky Boots, Jersey Boys, The Book of Mormon, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Something Rotten!, two seasons of Encores! at New York City Center, and more), she focused her work on fixing the gender gap in the Broadway industry. She founded SheNYC Arts in 2015 and is eternally grateful to all of the other talented arts workers who have helped it grow and develop since then into a nationwide nonprofit organization that operates in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Dallas-Fort Worth. Outside of SheNYC, most recently she was on the worldwide Production team at Disney Theatrical Group, working on Frozen, The Lion King, and Aladdin around the globe. As a writer, her musicals have run off-Broadway, in Boston, and Chicago; her most recent piece, QUEEN ANNE, was the 2021 recipient of the Brooklyn Arts Council grant for musical theatre. In addition to her work in theater, she was one of the original organizers of the Women's March on Washington and has worked on a number of New York political campaigns, including as the Campaign Manager for Art Chang's 2021 Mayoral run. She was recently featured in Forbes Magazine, was named one of Five Women to Watch as Broadway Returns by Shonda Rhimes' publication, Shondaland, and is on the 2024 Broadway Women's Fund's Women to Watch list.
