They also unpack the movie's signature mid-1980s glamour, including silk jacquard, cinched waists, gold eye shadow, aviators, scarves, vertical blinds, padded shoulders, leopard print, metallic bodysuits, and bags hanging from impossibly thin straps.

Along the way, they discuss Marilyn's transformation from Norma Jeane into an enduring Hollywood persona, Jane Russell's commanding screen presence, the brutality of the old studio system, fishnet-covered dancers, women used as chandeliers, and whether gentlemen really do prefer blondes.
