Nearly 80,000 restaurants closed in 2021.

Why?

They didn’t solve problems quickly.

They had an obstacle and opportunity in front of them, and many chose to “sit tight” and seal their fate instead of control it.

Let’s talk about less extreme business problems…

…everyday problems that we’ve faced many times, like not having enough customers.

(I’ll speak for myself, I know I have!).

Today on the People Over Profit podcast we'll talk about:

  • Everyday business problems you can solve

  • My simple 8-step problem-solving framework

  • How to transform into a proactive problem solver

  • Best practices that make problem solving a breeze

3 Common Mistakes Entrepreneurs Make with Cold Sales DMs | E37

Saison 1 · Épisode 37

lundi 19 juin 2023Durée 17:35

Sending cold messages on social media platforms is the "new" cold calling.

As I sat down to write this episode and thought about this topic more I realized that there were a couple of common mistakes that usually show up in different ways and the examples I was going to give for how to structure cold sales DMs play beautifully into this topic of common mistakes.

I'm taking this approach not because I want you to feel blamed or shamed if you're doing something that isn't working or isn't feeling good to you or the people that you're DMing, but because I want you to be able to quickly recognize when things are headed in the wrong direction so you can fix it and get better results, quicker.

On today's episode of The People Over Profit Podcast, you'll learn:

  • The top 3 mistakes I see entrepreneurs make with cold DMs
  • How to use a cold DM strategy to authentically sell
  • DM examples and frameworks you can borrow
  • A checklist of must's for cold DMing

If you'd like to sell using direct messages on social media, you absolutely must listen to this episode!

Which is the Better Business Approach: Value or Volume? | E36

Saison 1 · Épisode 36

lundi 12 juin 2023Durée 13:41

Picture this.

You just created a new offer that you believe is going to change EVERYTHING about your industry. It’s so good!

You have two primary pathways forward:

  1. Get it out to as many people as possible

  2. Get it out to only the best people for it

If you choose pathway #1, you’re taking a mass-market approach. This means lower price points, mainstream marketing tactics, and a focus on volume.

If you choose pathway #2, you’re taking a niche-market approach. This means higher price points, unique marketing tactics, and a focus on value.

There’s no wrong answer - besides not choosing a pathway at all.

On today's episode of The People Over Profit Podcast, you'll learn:

  • The secrets behind successful billion-dollar brands
  • What makes you best suited for both value or volume
  • How to leverage both approaches to get optimal results
  • Your best next steps, depending on the pathway you take

If you are feeling stuck because your audience is too small, you aren't hitting your sales goals, or everything feels like it's working against you, this episode is going to be a game-changer!

How to Untangle Your True Identity from Your Work | E35

Saison 1 · Épisode 35

lundi 5 juin 2023Durée 19:51

Have you ever wondered...

Where does work end and where do I begin? Or when do I stop working and start living? Or who am I when I'm not working?

Perhaps you find yourself either asking someone what they do or introducing your work into conversations within the first few minutes of a conversation?

I think about work often, make it the center of conversation, and, yeah, I've tied my own self-worth to it – many times!

What I’m finding is that I'm not alone, so if you struggle with this I have something (or a few somethings) to help.

On today's episode of The People Over Profit Podcast, you'll learn some simple ways to cope and separate yourself from your work by:

  • Understanding why you do this (+ releasing shame)
  • Doing some simple exercises to get to know YOU better
  • Introducing yourself like a real human, not a working robot
  • Using journaling prompts to help you focus less on your work

If you've ever tied your value to your work or struggled to separate from your work, this episode will change your life!
