| I interviewed my own AI: Amy Jo Martin's Live, Unscripted AI Experiment (Ep 346) | 30 Jan 2026 | 00:25:39 | |
Have you ever heard a human interview their own AI—live, unscripted, and in real time?
In this groundbreaking episode of the Why Not Now? podcast, Amy Jo Martin flips the script and welcomes a never-before-seen guest: her own ChatGPT AI, trained over years with millions of words of personal data, reflections, physiological metrics, and real-life context. The result is a raw, fascinating conversation that pulls listeners directly into the "petri dish" of a year-long AI integration experiment.
Together, Amy Jo and her AI thought partner explore what it actually looks like to collaborate with artificial intelligence beyond productivity hacks—using it as a mirror and a decision-support system. They unpack emerging patterns around identity, nervous system regulation, self-worth, and the hidden cost of always being "the one who figures it out."
The episode also reveals how Amy Jo uses multiple AI models — including ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini — as a personal "AI board of directors" to pressure-test insights, surface alignment, and reduce bias.
You'll hear how AI can identify blind spots before you consciously notice them, help translate data into self-awareness, and support more intentional choices — without replacing human agency.
The conversation challenges common assumptions about AI collaboration and offers a simple prompt anyone can try today.
If you're curious about AI, personal growth, high performance, or the future of human–machine partnership, this episode is a must-listen — and a bold glimpse into what's possible when curiosity leads the way.

| Quantified Soul: Week 1 Field Notes | Can AI Improve Quality of Life? (Ep 345) | 12 Jan 2026 | 00:37:14 | |
Can AI improve your quality of life, not just your productivity?
Keynote speaker Amy Jo Martin explores leadership, AI, and human-centered decision-making. In this solo episode of the Why Not Now? Podcast, Amy shares early field notes from The Reinvention Experiment, a year-long AI self-experiment exploring vitality, clarity, and what it means to live well and lead effectively in an AI-driven world.
Rather than biohacking or performance optimization, Amy introduces the concept of Quantified Soul, combining hard data like sleep tracking, screen time, biometrics, and wearable data with qualitative inputs including journaling, emotional regulation, gratitude, and relationship check-ins.
Key insights include why "a wobble is data, not drama," how journaling with AI can help regulate the nervous system, and why cognitive load often creates more stress than conflict. Amy also breaks down what she's tracking, the AI prompts she uses daily, and how AI can surface blind spots instead of reinforcing existing narratives.
This episode is intentionally raw and unfinished. You're stepping inside the experiment itself and exploring how AI can support better decision-making, reflection, and long-term fulfillment, not just efficiency.

| Episode 244: Samantha Ettus - Making Financial Independence Tangible | 10 May 2021 | 00:48:11 | |
If you leave the workforce for just two years, there's less than a 50% chance you'll ever get a full time position again. Samantha Ettus realized that, when mothers take time away from corporate America to have a baby, it's one of the most financially risky things they can do.
As a speaker, Samantha felt she could motivate a room full of women, but she couldn't offer them any opportunities. So she founded Park Place Payments: a flexible, work from anywhere credit card business that increases financial independence for populations that historically haven't had the opportunities to access it.
On this episode of Why Not Now?, Samantha tells Amy Jo how Park Place Payments injects more financially independent people into the world while also helping small businesses. Samantha also says she has been very intentional about choosing her investors, saving half of her cap table for women and people of color. She even found her last investor after pitching him on Clubhouse.
Amy Jo and Samantha also talk about work-life balance, intentional parenting, and Samantha's podcast What's Her Story which she co hosts with Amy Nelson to amplify women's stories. Samantha is a strong believer that, the more strong women you surround yourself with, the faster you can all rise.

| Episode 243: the*gameHERS - Creating Inclusive Communities | 01 May 2021 | 00:59:50 | |
Heather Ouida, Laura Deutsch, Rebecca Dixon, and Verta Maloney founded the*gameHERs to give women who game a place to connect. Not one, but all four of the co-founders join Amy Jo on the show this week!
Heather, Laura, Rebecca, and Verta created the*gameHERs because, when they Googled a community for female gamers, nothing came up. They saw a need in the gaming space to amplify women. Almost half of gamers identify as women, but the speaking panels at most gaming conventions are dominated by men.
The co-founders tell Amy Jo they're passionate about creating an inclusive space in gaming and business, as it's so important that traditionally marginalized communities are represented in spaces where there is profit to be made. Heather, Laura, Rebecca, and Verta realized their work goes deeper than a service that makes life a little easier. the*gameHERs provides a community that has changed people's lives.

Jamie Kern Lima is the Co-Founder of IT Cosmetics as well as the author of "Believe It."
In this episode, Jamie and Amy Jo discuss Jamie's Why Not Now? moment that is a story of resilience. Jamie was working as a news anchor and found herself in what she describes as "a season of setbacks." She had developed a skin condition and had difficulty finding makeup that could help conceal it, while she was on camera. She learned that her skin condition doesn't have a cure which caused her to go down a path of self doubt.

Her first few years of business weren't easy, and even after hearing no after no, she didn't give up. Jamie had a gut feeling that she should approach QVC. Amy Stanton & Amy Jo Martin explain everything you need to know about the new social media app, Clubhouse. Clubhouse is a drop-in audio only platform that can be described as part podcast, part zoom call, and part house party. It can be very confusing at first and you can quickly find yourself lost on the platform, but luckily we have Amy Stanton to be our guide.
Amy has been called "The Queen of Clubhouse", and for good reason. She has learned more about the platform than most and is sharing everything she knows with us. She walks through creating your profile, finding people to follow, finding rooms and clubs that fit your interests, as well as starting your own clubs.
Amy also shares a few of her personal experiences using Clubhouse, from joining a room with Elon Musk, to hosting Katie Couric's welcome party, and the most random room she's experienced yet.
This may sound overwhelming and foreign but after listening to this conversation things will start to make sense and you'll find yourself navigating the halls of Clubhouse in no time! | Episode 219: A Conversation With Tony Hsieh and My Tribute To Him. | 05 Dec 2020 | 01:06:05 | |
Tony Hsieh was my visionary friend, mentor and investor. He continues to be one of my greatest teachers. He's a constant voice in my head and grin in my heart. In this episode, Tony shares his wisdom, which is pulled from our previous conversation on the show. I also share some of my greatest lessons and favorite memories. He passed away on November 27th.
Tony sold his first company to Microsoft at age 24 for $265 million. He then went on to sell Zappos to Amazon for $1.2 Billion in 2009. Yet those weren't his biggest wins to date, in my opinion. His most notable successes, which we discuss in the show, has nothing to do with money.
Tony delivered happiness as his main gig but he also delivered dreams as a side hustle. Moonlighter. He believed in me before I learned to believe in myself.
Tony goes big. He did this at scale with many beneficiary-mentees. Many of which have become very good friends of mine over time. He was an open-source style kind of guy. Sharing was his thing. Tony collected friends and experiences, not things. He's the shoe dude who could care less about shoes, it was all about the delivery.
We lost a visionary. He will be deeply missed, remembered and celebrated. RIP Tony Hsieh 1973 - 2020.

Now, she's on a mission to help high-performing women stop keeping their health challenges a secret and start prioritizing their well-being - physically, mentally, and spiritually.
From working with champion athletes to coaching executives, Dr. Kenna reveals how women can apply an athlete's mindset to their own lives, extending their "runway" and redefining what it means to truly thrive. She and Amy Jo also tackle why women's health is broken, the power of listening to your body, and the future of functional medicine as wealth and influence shift into female hands.
If you've ever felt like you're pushing through exhaustion, waiting for the right time to prioritize yourself - this episode is your wake-up call and permission to take the first step toward becoming the champion of your own health.

| Episode 211: Dr. Meredith Provost - From Having Zero Following to Going Viral on TikTok | 19 Oct 2020 | 01:05:21 | |
Dr. Meredith Provost is a minivan-driving mom and fertility doctor who started sharing her voice online this year. She had no social media footprint when she became a Renegade student.
Fast-forward and she goes viral on TikTok. Meredith shares step-by-step how this happened and how she started owning her voice. Her message resonated because she showed up consistently and shared a message that's important to her.
When you are unapologetically true to yourself, your tribe will find you. Going viral on TikTok is not the point here. That's just a side-effect. Meredith talks about her goal, how she measures success and how she's still figuring out exactly what "conversion" looks like for her. With action comes clarity.
It's not every day you see physicians humanizing themselves on social media. This conversation with Meredith is wide-ranging. We talk about how she got her start and how staying true to herself has led her to a career that could have looked much differently.
