One Simple Practice to Make Life Feel Better | Ep104
Épisode 104
dimanche 22 décembre 2024 • Durée 21:02
It’s easy to get overwhelmed with shoulds, needs, wants and want-to-wants. It’s easy too, to respond with action overdrive, or total shutdown. Learning to be with your body in these times is invaluable — body reminds you how you want to feel in life and love, and provides direction on the next doable step to get there. In today's episode we offer some perspective about busyness, and moving toward goals with self-compassion.

The Power of Longing | Ep103
Épisode 103
dimanche 15 décembre 2024 • Durée 01:02:17
Longing can be a source of depression or excitement — it can inspire or debilitate, depending on your story (i.e. your past, your present, and how you experience sensations in your body). With practice, you can find tremendous energy your longings, and harness it in helpful ways.
In today's episode, we talk about our old feelings about longing — informed heavily by unrequited love and not being chosen — and the new, nicer-feeling feelings we've grown into with simple practice.

Hard Conversations: Support for Before, During & After | Ep94
Épisode 94
dimanche 13 octobre 2024 • Durée 01:17:04
We all project our past experiences onto the present, and into the future. If no one seemed to listen to you when you were growing up, why would they listen now? So we prepare ourselves to have the same experiences, and we defend against the pain that causes us. BUT — we are not our past, and every moment is new. Taking stock of our starting assumptions, and the ways our minds & bodies process them, is a great step toward living in the now. In today's episode we share some practices and reframes for staying in the present, and with your body, when it comes time to have challenging conversations.

In today's episode we talk about how to pause, how to manage shame, how to come to a place of genuine compassion (for ourselves and the other) before we apologize. We also talk about when we're not ready to apologize - which is okay too.

Burdens & Hard Feelings: How & When to Share Them | Ep93
Épisode 93
dimanche 6 octobre 2024 • Durée 01:17:47
The feeling of being burdened or weighed down is a very subjective thing. What feels like a gift to you might be a burden to someone else, and vice versa. In life and love, we bestow gifts/burdens on each other all the time — learning how to express it when you’re feeling weighed down or put out is a liberating part of bringing your whole self to relationships.
In today's episode, we talk about acknowledging and sharing the impacts of burdens in our lives, and give you a series of prompts to help you explore this for yourself.
