Circus of the Dead (2014) Movie Review: Insane Grindhouse Horror15 Sep 202601:01:26

Send us Fan Mail

Fall is here... does that mean clowns are here as well!?

Today were talking about:

A family road trip.
A mysterious circus.
Several clowns who have absolutely no interest in making balloon animals.

Circus of the Dead (2014) asks the timeless question: What could possibly go wrong if we stop at a creepy circus in the middle of nowhere?

The answer is: basically everything.

There are clowns.
There is murder.
There is enough blood to make the concession stand reconsider selling red slushies.

What begins as a normal family outing quickly becomes a carnival of terrible decisions, questionable parenting, and people discovering that “Let's stop and check it out” is rarely the correct response to a suspicious circus.

It's grotesque. It's chaotic. It's deeply unpleasant.

Basically, it's a family movie—if your family has collectively decided that therapy is too expensive.

🎪 Hit play on WHO WATCHES THIS PODCAST, follow, rate, and subscribe—and come find out whether Circus of the Dead is a hidden horror gem or proof that some roadside attractions should simply be ignored.

Shakes the Clown (1992) Movie Review: The Saddest Clown in America15 Sep 202601:02:10

Send us Fan Mail

Fall is here... does that mean clowns are here as well!?

Today were talking about:

A clown walks into a bar.

He doesn't make anyone laugh.

He just really needs a drink.

Shakes the Clown (1992) takes the wholesome world of birthday parties, children's entertainment, and brightly colored makeup—and asks, “What if everyone involved absolutely hated their lives?”

Shakes is a professional clown.
He's also an alcoholic.
He's also having a really, really bad week.

Behind every red nose is a broken dream.
Behind every balloon animal is crippling despair.
And behind every children's party is a grown adult wondering how their life ended up here.

It's funny. It's filthy. It's deeply uncomfortable.

Basically, it's a clown movie where the clown isn't the scariest thing in the room.

🤡 Hit play on WHO WATCHES THIS PODCAST, follow, rate, and subscribe—and join us as we find out if Shakes the Clown is a forgotten cult classic or just what happens when a birthday party gets a little too honest.

Clown (2014) Movie Review: No booboo the fool here08 Sep 202601:02:03

Send us Fan Mail

Fall is here... does that mean clowns are here as well!?

Today were talking about:

A birthday party.
A homemade clown costume.
One very unfortunate wardrobe malfunction.

In Clown (2014), a loving father does what any responsible parent would do when the hired clown cancels: he puts on the costume himself.

Unfortunately, the costume has other plans.

The makeup won't come off.
The costume won't come off.
And eventually, neither will the horrifying realization that Dad may be turning into an ancient demon clown.

It's a story about fatherhood, sacrifice, body horror, and the terrifying discovery that sometimes returning something to Party City is simply not an option.

🎈 Hit play on WHO WATCHES THIS PODCAST, follow, rate, and subscribe—and join us as we ask the most important question of all: How bad does a birthday party have to get before you just cancel the party?

New Blood (1999) Movie Review: When Your New Job Comes With a Body Count24 Aug 202601:01:56

Send us Fan Mail

The Wayans shaped my sense of humor

Today were talking about:

A new job.
A fresh start.
A completely unreasonable amount of murder.

New Blood (1999) is a reminder that sometimes the best career opportunity is also the one that gets you questioning your life choices, your coworkers, and possibly the structural integrity of the building you're standing in.

Everyone has secrets.
Everyone has an agenda.
And apparently nobody in the 1990s believed that “this seems suspicious” was a good enough reason to simply go home.

It's dark. It's dangerous. It's aggressively 1999.

👉 Hit play on WHO WATCHES THIS PODCAST, follow, rate, and subscribe—and let's find out whether New Blood deserves a transfusion or should be left in the cinematic morgue.

Bulletproof (1996) Movie Review: Damon Wayans & Adam Sandler Go Full Buddy-Cop Chaos17 Aug 202600:54:11

Send us Fan Mail

The Wayans shaped my sense of humor

Today were talking about:

Two men.
One criminal past.
Absolutely zero emotional maturity.

Bulletproof (1996) asks the age-old question: Can two people who desperately want to kill each other survive being forced to work together?

One is a cop.
One is a criminal.
Both are approximately one bad decision away from making everything significantly worse.

Friendship is tested.
Loyalty gets complicated.
And somewhere along the way, Adam Sandler discovers that yelling is apparently a character arc.

It's a buddy-cop movie about trust, betrayal, redemption, and the eternal 1990s belief that every problem can be solved with gunfire and a sarcastic one-liner.

👉 Hit play, follow, rate, and subscribe to WHO WATCHES THIS PODCAST—and find out if Bulletproof is actually bulletproof… or just 1990s-proof.

Senseless (1998) Movie Review: Marlon Wayans Loses His Senses?10 Aug 202601:03:06

Send us Fan Mail

The Wayans shaped my sense of humor

Today were talking about:

A body disconnected.
A mind unraveling.
A world that feels… slightly off.

In Senseless (1998), perception becomes a currency and Malcolm is spending it recklessly.

Sight fades.
Sound dissolves.
Taste becomes memory.

What begins as a desperate grab for control slowly mutates into something quieter… stranger… almost philosophical.
A man chasing success, only to discover that without sensation, even victory feels empty.

Or maybe… it’s just Marlon Wayans screaming because he can’t feel his face.

👉 Experience the chaos for yourself—hit play now, and don’t forget to follow, rate, and subscribe… before you lose your senses too.

The Last Boy Scout (1991) Movie Review: Bruce Willis vs. Peak 90s Chaos04 Aug 202601:08:50

Send us Fan Mail

The Wayans shaped my sense of humor

Today were talking about:

A man who’s already lost everything.
A city that never had anything to begin with.
And somewhere between corruption and cigarettes… a football game that means too much.

The Last Boy Scout (1991) isn’t just about crime.
It’s about decay moral, emotional, and deeply, aggressively 90s.

Two men orbit each other in a spiral of bad decisions, worse luck, and dialogue that feels like it was written during a caffeine-fueled existential crisis.
Violence becomes language.
Trust becomes optional.
And hope… is mostly hungover.

This is a story about what happens when the hero doesn’t want to be one anymorebut the explosions keep showing up anyway.

👉 Hit play on this episode now—and don’t forget to follow, rate, and subscribe… because unlike Joe Hallenbeck, you still have something to lose.

Empire of the Sharks (2017) Movie Review: Water World but with SHARKS28 Jul 202600:45:27

Send us Fan Mail

It's Colby's favorite time of the year... SHARKS!!!!!

Today were talking about:

The world has drowned.
Not in sorrow… but in saltwater and poor decisions.

Humanity clings to scraps of civilization, while above them & no, within them a new empire rises.
Not of kings. Not of gods.
But of sharks… that may or may not be psychic.

Empire of the Sharks (2017) is a meditation on power, control, and what happens when you give ocean predators the political structure of a failing HOA.

Drifters become rebels.
Water becomes law.
And somewhere, somehow… a shark is in charge.

👉 Dive into this episode: before the sharks seize control of your algorithm. Follow, rate, and subscribe… or risk being ruled by the fin.

Bait (2013) Movie Review: Shark in a Supermarket?! Discount Seafood Night Gone Wrong20 Jul 202600:55:53

Send us Fan Mail

It's Colby's favorite time of the year... SHARKS!!!!!

Today were talking about:

A fluorescent-lit purgatory.
A rising tide that doesn’t care about your 2-for-1 specials.
And somewhere between aisle five and existential dread… something with teeth.

Bait (2013) asks the question no one was brave enough to:
What if capitalism… but wet?

As strangers drift between canned goods and their own unresolved trauma, a silent predator circles—reminding us that survival isn’t about who you were before the flood… it’s about who you’re willing to eat after.

It’s grief. It’s hunger. It’s a shark in a grocery store.

Today were talking about:

It starts like any normal day.
Water.

Nothing out of place.

I wish I had a clone sometimes, but maybe not.

Today were talking about:

After receiving a terminal diagnosis, Sarah prepares for the inevitable.
 She commissions a duplicate —
a version designed to replace her.

Then the diagnosis changes.

Two bodies.
 One legal identity.
A court-mandated duel decides who gets to live.

Training begins.
 Emotion drains.
 Self-preservation turns literal.

In a world that can copy you,
 which version deserves to stay?

El Camino Christmas: Shots Fired, Spirits Higher15 Dec 202501:04:53

Send us Fan Mail

Jingle Those Bells Yall its Christmas month!

Today were talking about:

In a dusty desert town where traditions feel as worn as the bar stools, El Camino Christmas (2017) paints the holidays with a strange mix of tension, desperation, and accidental humanity. When a group of misfits find themselves trapped in a liquor store on Christmas Eve, the night unravels into a portrait of misunderstandings, fractured families, and the strange ways loneliness echoes louder during the holidays.

Bathed in neon, cheap beer, and the sharp sting of small-town frustration, the film becomes less about the standoff and more about the people stuck inside it — each hoping for something better, even if they don’t know how to ask for it.

It’s messy, warm, and quietly tragic under all the chaos — a Christmas story for people who’ve ever felt forgotten by the season.

🎧 Join us as we unwrap the hostage situation, the desert vibes, and the questionable choices that somehow lead to holiday “spirit.”

The Mean One: Whoville Needs Therapy08 Dec 202500:55:13

Send us Fan Mail

Jingle Those Bells Yall its Christmas month!

Today were talking about:

Snow falls soft over a quiet town — but the shadows are sharp, and something old and bitter stirs in the hills. The Mean One (2022) reimagines a familiar Christmas tale as a twisted legend: a creature in green fur, fueled not by holiday cheer but by decades of unresolved rage.

Here, grief and folklore collide beneath tinsel-lit streets as one woman returns home to confront the monster who stole everything from her. What follows is a surreal blend of camp and carnage, a holiday fever dream where nostalgia curdles into violence and childhood myths bare their teeth.

In this winter landscape, even joy feels dangerous.

P2: The Parking Garage of Poor Decisions01 Dec 202501:02:48

Send us Fan Mail

Jingle Those Bells Yall its Christmas month!

Today were talking about:

Beneath the glow of fluorescent lights and holiday Muzak, P2 (2007) transforms a corporate parking garage into a cold, echoing labyrinth of obsession and dread.

On Christmas Eve, a late-working professional finds herself hunted through stark concrete corridors by a security guard whose loneliness has curdled into something far more dangerous. The film unfolds with chilling intimacy — a claustrophobic portrait of desperation, captivity, and the thin line between holiday solitude and madness.

It’s brutal, tense, and strangely poetic in its emptiness — a winter tale where the only carols are echoed footsteps and the hum of fluorescent bulbs.

🎧 Join us as we descend into the garage, unpack the red flags, and discuss why parking garages are officially canceled for the rest of the year.

Dual: Karen Gillan vs. Karen Gillan25 Nov 202501:02:27

Send us Fan Mail

Turkey month is filled with surrealism isn't it?

Today were talking about:

In a world where the future feels eerily ordinary, Dual imagines the quiet horror of being replaced by a better version of yourself — and being forced to fight her to the death.

Karen Gillan delivers a double-dose of deadpan detachment as a woman confronting mortality, identity, and the unsettling realization that her clone may actually have better social skills. The film blends minimalist sci-fi with razor-dry humor, creating a world where emotional numbness is a vibe and violence is just another scheduled appointment.

It’s bleak. It’s funny. It’s strangely tender.

🎧 Join us as we unpack the clones, the combat training, and the existential dread — because in this duel… only one awkward introvert can survive.

Send us Fan Mail

Turkey month is filled with surrealism isn't it?

Today were talking about:

What price would you pay for eternal beauty? In Death Becomes Her (1992), vanity has a half-life, necks can spin like windmills, and immortality is anything but graceful.

Streep and Hawn duel in high camp couture, their bodies breaking as their egos bend, while Bruce Willis looks like he’s one martini away from total collapse. It’s glamorous, grotesque, and a morality tale wrapped in glitter, bullets, and broken bones.

Pastel suburbs. Forced smiles. Babies swapped like party favors. Greener Grass (2019) is the surreal comedy that asks: what if your HOA ran your entire life?

In this pastel nightmare, every lawn is perfect, every smile is orthodontic, and everyone’s slowly losing their minds beneath the pressure of keeping up appearances. It’s Stepford Wives with braces, Pleasantville on a sugar crash, and a fever dream you can’t quite wake up from.

Today were talking about:

What do you get when you mix Paul Dano, Daniel Radcliffe, and one very gassy corpse? That’s right—Swiss Army Man (2016), the fart-fueled survival story that’s equal parts heartwarming and stomach-turning.

This week, we dive headfirst into the indie fever dream where flatulence becomes a flotation device, corpses give life advice, and loneliness gets very, very weird. It's 2025 SPOOK-TOBER

Today were talking about:

The dead don’t rest — especially when they’ve got middle school drama to deal with.

In ParaNorman (2012), a misunderstood boy who talks to ghosts must save his town from an ancient curse, proving that sometimes the real monsters are PTA members and small-town gossip. Through clay and courage, Laika Studios builds a hauntingly tender world where every grave hides a story and every outsider has a voice.

It’s eerie, heartfelt, and weirdly profound — like if The Sixth Sense had a Saturday morning cartoon phase.

It's 2025 SPOOK-TOBER

Today were talking about:

Autumn. Small-town vengeance. The carnival lights flicker beneath the harvest moon. Candy Corn (2019) tells the story of a bullied sideshow performer who returns from the grave to exact revenge — one kill at a time.

It’s a film soaked in nostalgia, drenched in fake blood, and glazed with the artificial sweetness of a dollar-store Halloween bag. Between its moody fog and clunky dialogue, Candy Corn tries to taste like vintage horror but somehow ends up like the candy itself: hard to chew and best left uneaten.

Today were talking about:

The internet remembers everything — and in Halloween Party (2019), that’s the problem.

When a cursed meme starts killing college students one click at a time, a pair of unlucky undergrads dive into the dark web of digital superstition. Between campus corridors and computer screens, the line between reality and viral horror blurs until there’s no logging off.

It’s sleek, eerie, and just self-aware enough to make you nervous about checking your notifications. Halloween Party asks: in the age of social media, what’s scarier — dying online or being forgotten offline?

🎧 Tune in as we dissect the pixels, the plot holes, and the poor decisions that make this digital ghost story the perfect mix of stupid and spooky.

Grab your pumpkin spice latte and your sharpest fake machete—it’s Haunt Season (2024), the movie that proves Halloween is less about candy and more about questionable acting choices.

In this seasonal spook-fest, Horny adults work at the season Haunted house only to find out that some of the bodies are REAL.
