Sime folks have been wondering what happened to AppTT. Danny explains the somewhat new direction that AppTT will be taking, and how exciting these changes will be.

Appalachian Table Tales is brought to you by Erik Hubbard, Executive Director of Backroads of Appalachia and Americorps VISTA, as well as Danny Potter, Owner and host of the What's up World Podcast. Danny is the Digital Storytelling Coordinator for Americorps and Appalachian Table Tales is a spin off series of the wildly popular What's up World Podcast.

In these episodes Danny highlights the underdog, and far too often forgotten Appalachian spirit that helped mold America into what it is today. With the help of Erik Hubbard and Americorps, these episodes bring you tales from the hills and hollers of rural America with emphasis on the roots of Appalachia. These stories are unfiltered and unedited to bring you the most raw and purest form of Appalachian culture and heritage possible. Please join us in recalling stories of the past and we do hope you enjoy them.

Amanda reached out to me and wanted to share her testimony. Shes endured several abusive relationships and an abundance of chaos in life ultimately to find her way through her religious experiences. I want to thank both Amanada and Jared for coming to the studio and telling their story. And I have a feeling Amanda will be back in the studio soon to talk of some other things that both her and Danny find interest in. Thank You for listening.

Donnie Parrett is a very well-known Man who throughout his life has spread Love and Joy to everyone he meets. Since losing his vision at the age of six, Donnie has not let that slow him down in the least. From climbing on the roof of his home to put up Christmas lights, to buying a scooter and totaling it 30 minutes later, there's never a dull moment with Donnie. And for the first time I got to meet his small friend Clyde who tags along with Donnie. As well as Brad who is the lead Pastor at Souls Harbor Church in London Ky. You can tell by my laughter that I thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with all three of these guys.

If anyone out there is interested in contacting Donnie about any of the gadgets that she uses to aid him with his loss of vision, please contact Danny at whatsupworld01@yahoo.com and I will put you in contact with Donnie himself.

Cathy fought with addiction for over twenty years and she's in the WUW studio to tell us about it. Cathy is fifteen months sober and that is a great accomplishment. It takes a very brave and determined person to come to the studio and speak of these things as so many of my past guests have. I want to thank each of them for doing so. Their stories have reached so many people, and I know it has helped even more.

During this conversation I never once asked Jake his political affiliation. I didn't nor do I know now. The point behind this being that no matter one's political opinions there is always a conversation that needs to be had. We will never get anywhere in Society without having conversations.

This is just one of those conversations.

Why are Car Salesman one of the most dreaded people to deal with? Bradyn and Wes are in the WUW studio to lay it out for us. These two guys are car salesman at Richmond Car and Truck Center in Richmond KY. Danny has purchased three vehicles from this lot and wanted to get these Men on the Podcast to ask some hard-hitting questions and see what they have to say. Wes and Bradyn have a different approach to selling cars and from what Danny has seen, it seems to be a winning formula. And as you will see these guys like to have a good time while on the lot making funny videos and showing that even car salesman have a soul. HAHA!!

Johnny Johnson enlisted in the United States Marine Corps when he was 19 years old. He soon after found himself in the middle of what's known as the 3rd deadliest War the U.S. has been involved in. Mr. Johnson has been awarded many medals and has been paid tribute to in our nation's capital several times. As I sit across from Mr. Johnson you can see his tales of the War in his eyes. Very few times during this Podcast did he look at me directly. You could tell he was reliving his time in the War as he told it. This was a great honor for Danny to get to speak to such a Man of his caliber. Mr. Johnson has vowed to return to the WUW studio to tell more of his time in Korea. Listeners of this Podcast has learned a lot about Michael Cox in the past episodes. We have also seen him change his life inside and out. But I don't think that even Mike expected this life changing event. Mike and his Fiancé Tasha sit down with me and explain how their Love for one another has flourished into something that can only be sent from God himself.

What's Up Jackson County is a spinoff series of the popular What's up World Podcast. While WUW deals with topics that people all across the world can relate to, WUJC is more for the locals here in Jackson County KY. However, everyone is welcome to listen in. Danny promises to have episodes to both entertain and inform you on the latest details of the goings on in our small town.

If you have BREAKING NEWS, Birthday, Engagement, Divorce or any other kind of announcement, please e-mail Danny at whatsupworld01@yahoo.com

If you submit NEWS to the Podcast, please ensure that all details are true and accurate to the best of your ability.

Damaris Isaacs Robbins is a direct descendant of the Lumbee Tribe. She is in the Podcast to tell us about growing up within the Native American Culture. After the conversation we talked about her and another guest back in the studio in August so stay tuned for that.

Scotty is trying his hand at Podcasting so I thought what better way to help someone than to have them on the Podcast and kinda show em the ropes.

Scotty is a truck driver with 18 years experience so I had plenty of questions about the industry to ask him. And of coarse we get on a few different subjects such as pet peeves of a truck driver and the infamous Lot Lizard. Come join the conversation.

The What's up World Podcast almost saw it's end.
