| Breakfast #4: Resilience Love and Responsibility | الفطور الرابع: الصرامة، الحب، والمسؤولية | 16 oct. 2026 | 00:48:10 | |
Thank you for listening to What’s For Breakfast with Jo, a podcast where we sit down together and eat Gen Z issues for breakfast. After receiving a comment from a former friend following Episode 3, I found myself reflecting on friendship, conflict, karma, and how we can see the same situation in completely different ways. In this episode, I explore human complexity, how love and conflict can coexist, and ideas from The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and Being in Love by Osho. We also discuss intimacy in female friendships, emotional boundaries, and the difference between showing up for someone and taking on more than we can handle. How do we build lasting relationships, embrace each other’s complexity, and love without abandoning ourselves? Today’s dish: Resilience, Love, and Responsibility. Hosted by Jo. Whether it’s morning, afternoon, or evening, breakfast is always together. And Gen Z is always on the menu. Instagram & TikTok: @wfbpod

Thank you for listening to What’s for Breakfast with Jo, a podcast where we sit together and eat Gen Z issues for breakfast. In episode three, Jo reflects on the conflicts we experience in our friendships and relationships, and why sometimes one disagreement can be enough to end an entire relationship. We talk about our ability to tolerate differences, our tendency to walk away too quickly, intimacy, and the space between what we feel and the decisions we make. From there, we ask: Is it really a Gen Z problem? Or are there deeper factors behind the way we relate to conflict, commitment, and intimacy? We talk about the experiences and wounds we carry into our relationships, and how we can sometimes interpret conflict as a threat instead of seeing it as a natural part of human relationships and an opportunity to deepen a friendship. In the final part of the episode, we go back to the foundations of friendship: how friendships form, how we maintain them, and how we build our own village and support system. We also talk about the importance of social relationships for our health and quality of life, and when to repair, renegotiate, or know that it’s time to walk away. Today’s dish: Can We Disagree Without Falling Apart? Hosted by Jo.

| Breakfast #2: Can We Please Everyone? | 29 sept. 2026 | 01:02:01 | |
Thank you for listening to What’s for Breakfast with Jo, a podcast where we sit together and eat Gen Z issues for breakfast. In episode two, Jo reflects on what the first episode left her thinking about, then gets into complex trauma, our responses to it, and the boundaries we build to protect ourselves. We talk about therapy, accepting the parts of us that have shaped who we are, and the idea of being “normal”... who created it, and who gets to decide what being normal even means? From there, we get into embracing the ways we differ in how we communicate, move between cultures and languages, and even switch between Arabic and English. Your difference isn’t an insult to anyone. Sometimes, the best thing you can do is be yourself and let life naturally filter the people who are meant to be around you. Today’s dish: Can We Please Everyone? Hosted by Jo. Whether you’re listening or watching in the morning, afternoon, or night, we’re having breakfast together. And Gen Z is always on the menu. Instagram & TikTok: @wfbpod
