WDW Tales – Détails, épisodes et analyse

This episode I spend more time with the legendary Disney (and Hollywood) composer George Wilkins. We discuss his work on Disney Parks attractions like, Horizons, The Great Movie Ride, Journey into Imagination, as well as other Disney Parks classics. Plus, we geek out a little on the advancement of recording technology from the 60's to today. A must listen!

This episode I spend some time discussing (and not trying to fanboy out too hard) with legendary film, theater, broadcast, and Disney theme park composer. In part one, we discuss George's history of directing, arranging, and composing for the US Army, CBS broadcasts, and yes, even some talk around EPCOT Center and Disney-MGM Studios. What a terrific episode this was to record. 

This episode brings you my thoughts on the news coming out of the Parks & Resorts panel at the 2017 D23 Expo. I give a perspective on Star Wars Land, Pixar, Mickey Mouse, Transportation and all the other news. 

Ever wondered what it's like to be a perfomer at Walt Disney World? In this episode I tell you about my days as an opening cast drummer for Tapestry of Nations parade at Epcot. We discuss the audition process, rehearsal and even the big day. 

In this episode, I take to you to one of my favorite race weekends, the Wine & Dine Half Marathon at Walt Disney World. This year saw a different weekend entirely. New races, new courses and new up sell opportunities. I also talk about the Beach Club, the Studios and toilet paper?

In this episode, I celebrate the Halloween season by taking you on some secrets of Walt Disney World's Haunted Mansion I learned when taking a cast member's walking tour of the attraction. Some of the chapters in this episode deal with possibly the original story of Master Gracey, backstage secrets and some background on the effects. In this episode, I relive the awesomeness that was the Disney MGM Studios. This glimpse into my favorite park really set the stage for the mainstay of my Walt Disney World career. While not specific to The Great Movie Ride, those stories are on deck, only needing a setup to why I loved the Studios so much. 

As Walt Disney World celebrates its 45th anniversary, I look back at the crazy experiences I would enjoy with my family on our family trips to the Vacation Kingdom. Whether, it was getting stuck in strollers, being ditched for Space Mountain, or fleeing from the rainstorm of seagull poop, every story was memorable. Hope you enjoy!

This episode I conclude Part 1 of Journey into Imagination by talking about Honey, I Shrunk the Audience. I also give you a brief sense of my Learning About EPCOT class, and I get a pretty sweet look at the backstage areas of Spaceship Earth. Concluding with a hazardous walk in between the show building and Spaceship's iconic silver triangles.
