We are back on our ROAD TO DOOMSDAY and next up is Marvel’s Avengers, the first of many team ups of our new favorite heroes. Is this the blueprint of team up films? Who’s missing from the Doomsday lineup that should be in the film? Tony Stark, Thor, and Steve Roger’s are back but at what cost and what role will they be playing on the team. The Drop is back with its third episode , and I belive we can all agree… LAMAR YOUS A BITCH CUH! Anthony, of the Talkin Ish A Podcast Amongst Friends , joins us as we discuss the latest drop in the series . We get a deeper glimpse in to James Jr and what he wants out of life. Big Daddy gives James a new task, focus strictly on Lamar. Wanda is trying to hold it all together as everything comes to a head. Lamar heads to the Blue House and it doesn’t go the way he expects it!

We heading back to Rushville! Episode 6 of Lanterns brings us back to current day and shows us the events that lead John back to bury his former mentor. Hal is looking for redemption so , even though he’s hated, he’s trying to help out around the town. John is also treated with a not so warm welcome and a white lady asking for reparations, WHAT! John is off the vegan train, but he has also left his parents in the dust. We talk about the new interesting developments from John over the past 10 years and his brush in with Guy Gardner. Sinestro is free. Noah is suspicious and we get into the world building this episode creates.

We’re headed to Hillman, Ladies and Gents, but not the Hillman of today. We’re talking about the classic, culturally impactful, and highly celebrated Hillman from the late 1980s! That’s right, for Episode 224, we’re discussing A Different World ahead of the new series coming to Netflix. We brought in our sister Helaine from Talkin Ish: A Podcast Amongst Friends and our brother Austin to dive into the cultural importance of the series, the characters, the topics it tackled, and even put our guests to the test with a little “Make Ya Case.”

We agree on some things, disagree on plenty of others, but at the end of the day, we’re all from A Different World and we have a genuine appreciation for a series that not only reflected the Black college experience but also highlighted the importance of community, culture, and representation.

But of course, we still had to answer the most important question…

We’re concluding our Lioness Season 3 Side Quest Review, and this finale left us with A LOT of Season 4 speculation! The season ended on a mean cliffhanger, leaving us wanting more, especially with that unexpected familiar face showing up at the end. Our hosts break down a few of the fumbles made by Joe and her team, revisit who is still on the mole list, and dive into what this finale could mean for the future of the series.

Did this episode set up a potential spin-off for Kyle? Will Cruz play a major role in Season 4? And have we seen the last of Joe’s family? We get into ALL of it, and it’s safe to say where we landed on our “Was It Good Though?”

We’re back to discuss Captain America The First Avenger and how does Steve, more importantly Peggy, fit into DOOMSDAY. We get into Cap politics with the Avengers. We’re back with Episode 2 of FX’s The Sage: A Snowfall Saga, as we discuss Wanda getting closer to her dreams while the nightmares that could follow begin to take shape. Not only did Wanda run into some drama this episode, but DG also allowed his mouth and arrogance to land him at the bottom of a few Bloodz shoes.

Meanwhile, brothers Lamar and James hit a few bumps of their own, setting up a potential conflict we definitely don’t want to see. Leon also reminded everybody why HE IS HIM with another standout moment this episode. We get a familiar face from the original Snowfall series, and Jason made sure to give the legend John Singleton his flowers.

We also shared our predictions on how many seasons we could potentially get from the series and yes, our predictions landed in a similar ballpark to where Snowfall ultimately ended.

Lanterns Episode 5 felt like a full-blown movie with the amount of action, storytelling, and edge-of-your-seat moments packed into this episode! We brought in our brother Furb to break down the latest developments in the series. Did Hal really leave John to die in the car? Is Hal moonwalking his way toward becoming a Yellow Lantern? And most importantly… is John scared of his momma?? 😂 We get into all of that, along with where we think the series could be headed and some possible Manhunter theories. We are back with a very controversial film, BY ANY MEANS starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II And Mark Wahlberg as a rag tag duo who must solve the murder of American Civil Rights Activist and NAACP President Vernon Dahmer II. The family of Dahmer spoke out against the film leading up to the films release. We get into Vernon’s life and death. Mark Walhbergs role in thr film, and if he was a necessary evil. Yahyas confidence as the film went on.

We are officially ONE EPISODE AWAY from wrapping up Lioness Season 3, and the theories are flying! One of the biggest questions we’ve been asking all season was, “Will Joe get saved?” and it’s safe to say we finally got our answer. Now, the biggest question is, “Who is the Mole?” Jason has his eyes on Bryon, with hopes that Aaliyah could somehow be involved, while Jazz has officially folded on her original theory and isn’t sure what we’re going to see in the finale. Did this episode lead us down the possible path of a Joe and Kyle romance? Is Kate officially off the list of possible mole suspects? In this show we discuss the animation style. How we feel about 2 and 3 part DC animated movies. Bruce’s constant struggle with this mental and emotional state. His rougue gallery we had and who we would like to see in this universe. The beat down at Wayne Manner and much more , but also WAS IT GOOD THOUGH!?

The crew is back with another Lanterns review and we enlisted a few of our comic book reading friends, Anthony of Talkin Ish A Podcast Amongst Friends and Mike of Sowell Media, to help us discuss this doozy! What does it take to make Green Lantern? Helluva question but even more of an episode. We talk about John’s home dynamics and being made an outcast in his own home. We learn more John’s background in military and the home life. The ring chosen process and why interviews are now needed to continue. The burden put on John because his father didn’t cut it. Why John is suspect number 1 on Hal’s murder listen and so much more!!

Since the NFL season is upon us, we had to continue our yearly tradition of reviewing a football film!  For Episode 221, we’re taking a trip down memory lane as we discuss the childhood classic Little Giants with our brothers Shawn and Diandre from MASS DEBATERS! We revisit this coming-of-age football favorite, talk about whether participation trophies are really a bad thing, and share some of our favorite childhood movies that helped shape us. Of course, we also have to answer the most important question, Was It Good Though?

Lioness has 3 episodes left and episode 5 is here and we’re about to break it all down! We pick right back up where the previous episode ended! Joe and her team are shaking trees and seeing what comes of it. We see how the CIA uses assets and the lack of rights you have if you’re doing espionage against your own home. We get in to theories in the final 3 episodes . Is Neal just a loving husband , or is there more to the man? How this show is adding to the levels of paranoia. America dying by a thousand cuts and much more!

“Just fly”... We’re flying into Episode 2 of Lanterns, joined by our brother Dave from Brickwall Review, to discuss the latest antics with Hal and John.

We learn that Hal may be John’s biggest opp, and we dive into some of the theories sparked by the details revealed in this episode. From Kerry’s rocky marriage and her connection to Gotham, to the Manhunters and the realization that John may be a lot more powerful than Hal is ready to admit, there’s plenty to unpack. We also get an appearance from Sinestro, as Hal turns to him for answers about the Manhunters.

The End Of Oak Street was a sleeper pick that we went and got Anthony of the Talkin Ish Podcast to help us break the Sci-fi film down! This film opens like your typical family oriented Steven Spielberg film but soon enough turns into a fast paced edge of your seat thriller. We get in to the family dynamics of the film. We discuss the family , at least the parents, were not the typical bad decision making family . The fair share of jump scares this movie has. Greg losing his leg and the laughs is gave . That crazy snake scene. And so so much, and of course the reason that brings the people here , WAS IT GOOD THOUGH?!

We’re halfway through Season 3 of Lioness, and things are looking BAD for our girl Joe.

We’re breaking down Episode 4, and it’s starting to look like our team may have been played from the very beginning. Was the mission in Episode 1 a major mistake? Will the team find Joe in time, or could this really be her last season? And then there’s Kyle…did he go too far taking out a Russian asset? Our hosts were definitely on different sides of this argument!

Finally, Batman comes to the docket! We’ve reviewed all types of heroes but one that has not been on is one of our cohosts number one hero. With this second season of Caped Crusader we brought in Chris of T3Media and Furb. We begin with season one and the story arc that’s set up and where season 2 picks up. We discuss our favorite villains and which would we like to see in this franchise. We also talk about gender swaps and race swaps based on the traditional characters. The RETURN! Clark must make a huge sacrifice in order to save his family , but what was the cost? The Eradicator is back and stronger than ever while Kara, Laura, and Jonathan tries to impede on his actions. Jazz is disappointed with Lois and her actions . Lex is taken into Waller’s custody but he leaves us with a shocking revelation. We discuss this and more but we finally answer the question we’re dying to know WAS IT GOOD THOUGH?!

The latest installment in James Gunn DC universe has finally landed, LANTERNS! The DC show has Hal and John in this buddy cop intergalactic crime thriller that seems to be an ode to True Detective, another crime thriller series on HBO. We discuss John’s wild beginnings and the 2 WTF scenes in the intro of the show. My destiny versus my ring. The dynamic between Hal and John. The diffference in how they weild the power of the ring. That shocking ending and so much more in this Pilot episode!

We’re continuing our “AI Will Be the End of Us All” series with Episode 219, Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die, and we brought in our brother Dave from Brickwall Review to join the discussion.

This is a film that flew under the radar at the beginning of 2026, but it certainly gives us a lot to talk about. Has social media made us more complacent as a society? Have we become so desensitized to gun violence and mass shootings that they no longer affect us the way they should? These are some of the heavier topics explored throughout this dark comedy, and we made sure to dig into all of them.

But even with the sensitive subject matter, we found plenty of room to talk about the lighter side of the film—including how much we all hate getting terrible results from terrible prompts. 😂

Through all the chaos, we still have to ask the most important question: Was It Good Though??

D23 has came and gone and Marvel has FINALLY released the latest Avengers Doomsday trailer , the Visionquest trailer , and they have announced a few more X-Men along with something , sinister. We discuss and break it all down along with a few theories and thoughts for this new and upcoming saga!

Who can you trust? We assume Ms Coretta, from the Talkin Ish A Podcast Amongst Friends, Joe and the team are back applying pressure to help keep the states safe. This episode kicks off with the high intensity shake down and we discuss how we would handle that situation . Is there a leak in the crew? Could it be Joe’s husband , Neal? Joe has to tell the family what’s what and the seriousness of what she’s doing in her job. The team partners with an unlikely partner to help smoke out all the enemies .

We’re one episode closer to the finale of My Adventures with Superman Season 3, and Jonathan is STILL a pain in all our big toes. 😭

It seems like he didn’t learn a thing from Episode 8, and those repercussions may come back to haunt our heroes in Episode 10. We still have a powerless Clark, but thankfully, he hasn’t lost his humanity, even when regaining his powers is on the line.

Meanwhile, Jimmy cooked Lex as he tried to make a swift exit, and it looks like Lois and Laura are finally starting to build that mother-daughter relationship.  There’s still A LOT to tie up before the finale, and we’re just hoping the season doesn’t leave us hanging on a disgusting cliffhanger. 👀

We’re back , for the final episode of THE VAMPIRE LESTAT and it was such a doozy.. we enlisted Correta and Anthony, from the Talkin Ish A Podcast Amongst Friends, to help us break it ALL DOWN! We discuss who orchardtred the attack. Why Coretta feels as if Claudia sacrificed the most. Armand ? Lestat and the failures. What’s next for him and the Great Convergence. Possibly the best episode of the season, Episode 5: "The Death of Superman," delivered on every level. Even with a runtime of less than 30 minutes, the nonstop action, intense fights, and Superman getting tossed around made it feel much bigger than its length.

We watch Wolverine step into a leadership role, but it quickly becomes clear that leading a team isn’t one of Logan’s strengths, at least not without a little help from his biggest admirer, Morph. The episode leans heavily into horror elements while revealing a side of Wolverine that neither of our hosts expected to see.
