#14 Don't Jealous Me: Published in 4 Weeks (Tolulope Ogunmefun)20 Dec 201700:30:54
Key takeaways from the episode are how to get published in 4 weeks. Creating viral content and why it’s essential for you to create content that feels natural and fluent to you. Being consistent and knowing how to evolve.

Tolulope Ogunmefun is known all over the world by his online social media name “Don’t Jealous Me”. He launched his YouTube channel in 2008, and it has been viewed over 41 million times. He has been entertaining fans, both young and old, with hilarious comedy sketches and vlogs. However, the YouTube popularity became challenging on a personal level as he became known as just being Don't Jealous Me when in fact he had so much more to offer.
He tried to get into acting but was getting turned down regularly audition after audition which led to him having to take time out to find himself. He stopped posting as regularly on Youtube and decided to work on his real dream of acting. The hustle finally paid off and led to him getting a significant role in popular Sky One sitcom Sick Note and an upcoming BBC 3 series called Man Like Mobeen. After the life challenges and subsequent breakthroughs, Tolu decided to develop a new inspirational project.

To find out more about Tolulope’s work you can follow him on Twitter and Instagram @dontjealousme. Get a copy of The Frog and his Dancing Shoes on djmbooks.com. #6 Miss India America: Wearing A Crown of Authenticity22 Nov 201700:28:16

India is incredibly high-achieving, professing that she did not take a break from full-time education until she decided to enter the Miss India America pageant. We talk about the stigma around pageants and the brains vs. beauty argument that comes up time and time again. What stuck out about my conversation India is how important her faith is to her. She is a practising Hindu and has credited the religion (and Sathya Sai Baba Bal Vikas Education) with instilling her core values. As you'll hear, India has made some bold moves in her life and her career in order to get to where she wants to be. She shares how she developed her strong sense of self and how she is able to remove herself from uncomfortable situations.

Key takeaways:

- How to remain authentic under intense pressure.

- The importance of finding friends with good motives and ambitions.

- Utilising your faith and spirituality in your career.

- Designing a successful career path (or is it just a series of accidents?).

- How to overcome your insecurities to become who you wanna be.

#130 Jamz Supernova on Living Life On My Own Terms05 Oct 202200:30:13

I‘ve been following Jamz for a few years now, and I’ve had the pleasure of watching her evolve and elevate her career in many different ways. Jamz Supernova made her name on BBC Radio 1Xtra and Radio 6 music. Jamz is also a presenter, label head, journalist, podcast host and A&R scout.

In today’s episode, Jamz will teach you the importance of making space for your passion. She shares how she’s funded her career as a DJ and kept up with the trends in her industry. Jamz also describes how she allows curiosity to drive her career. Let’s get to it

Jamz has such great energy, and can we talk about that gem she dropped so casually about how she decides where to put her energy? Here’s a reminder -It needs to feed my soul, raise my profile or feed my bank account. I’m putting that on my mirror. It was great to hear how she’s balancing motherhood with her work. It’s wild how similar we are in that respect. I highly recommend following Jamz on @Jamzsupernova on Twitter or Instagram.

Thank you so much for listening. I hope this half an hour has made you think, reflect and contemplate what your next step should be.
