Jessica is the sweetest human being! She has a heart for those who need to be heard and feel seen. She knows this feeling and can share with you how she has worked through breaking the chains of generations of strong holds that held her captive. She knew God was with her ALL the time not just when she was doing good but even in the hardest days of her life HE was there. Her word this year is uncomfortable. Are you living comfortably or you putting yourself out there - imperfectly. We discussed how easy it is to just stay comfortable, it becomes an unsafe place, staying the same, and not allowing God to lead you into the areas you know you want to grow. So go! Do it uncomfortable! Life is uncomfortable! What does generational cycle mean - A generational cycle is a habit or behavior that has been passed from one generation to the next. Parents strive to make sure that the life they lead will help their children live a better one. Children practice what they have learned on their own and what they have gathered from generations before them. Some examples of generational cycles are: addictions, mental illnesses, physical illnesses, even poverty to name a few. What are ways to break generational cycles: 1. Become self-aware of these destructive patterns 2. Educating yourself about family history 3. Taking accountability to own your part 4. Don't be afraid to reach out for help 5. Ensure that it stops with you 6. Accepting the generational cycles are our responsibility to break. Look at where you are and make plans for where you would like to be. Knowing what you know now, make necessary sacrifices and be as transparent as you can with your children to help them understand what you're doing and why you're doing it. Maybe a job promotion, or growing your business and maybe that soul mate you are longing to fine I know for me in the struggles and feeling stuck I ask for reasons and why is this going on? But what if God is try to teach us about patience, a closer walk with Him, and preparing for what He has ahead for us. Trusting God's timing is perfect. Born 1942 in St Louis, MO. (Sister Mary just celebrated her 80th birthday October 2022). At a young age she felt God's presence and calling. Mary and her family moved 1952 to Tuscaloosa, AL, finding it being a lonesome time in her life. There weren't many Catholic's in the south. She was very close to her brother, they played and built things that he dreamed up. Once her sister was born Mary loved playing a mommy to her. She knew in highschool that she would go to college and then become a Nun. But in her senior year at age 17 she began her walk in becoming a nun. She then began taking course on Theology. Began teaching at these small catholic churches. Where most classes were combined of two class grades at a time. She taught for 7 years and she was in a different school grade each year. We have so much to be thankful for. A girl placing an ad on the online newspaper and a boy taking a chance and answering it to find true love. We had a beautiful wedding just three months after meeting. March 28, 1997 on Good Friday. I am spoiled because he celebrates both the date and it being on Good Friday!! We are a couple that chose to grow a company together, travel and work together and support each other in our businesses that we are passionate about. He is my biggest cheerleader! He has believed in me when I didn't. Jesus is at the center of our lives, we wouldn't want it any other way. Sometimes we have to go through the dark to find the light. And it can be hard and ugly. Jessica found God in a very difficult time in her life. She knew He was there in her midst but it took some time for her to commit her life to Him and turn away from her sins. My granddaughter sent me this scripture this morning and I think it fits in well with this. 1 John 1 6-7 "If we claim that we experience a shared life with Him and continuer to stumble around in the dark, we're obviously lying through our teeth- we're not living what we claim. But if we walk in the light, we also experience a shared life with one another, as the sacrificed blood of Jesus, God's Son, purges all our sins" Breaking the chains of addiction and alcohol! If you have an addiction. Struggling to put it down or remove yourself from the influences around you. Reach out to me or to someone who can help you break the chains. I would love to send you a bible devotional. Pray with you. It is when we put ourselves in God's space and open our hearts to His words we become new.

Maybe you have notice I haven't had a podcast drop in the last couple of weeks. I have been taking it slow, allowing myself to grieve and to show myself some Grace. I did't know that in 2025 I would become a widow. I would be learning who I am without Tim by my side. It has allowed me to show up in ways I didn't see possible. I am able to guide other women through grief a loss that has impacted their life. You love, prayers and support are what sustain me. I just got back from a trip to Hawaii one trip I didn't even have on my radar for 2025. But three days before I took a chance to see if any spots would available and there were! I grabbed a dear friend and off we went to Kauai. Going back there was so special It was a place Tim and I been blessed to work several years ago. I was surrounded by God's beauty and 40 incredible women. I allowed myself to grieve but also laugh and remember the amazing time Tim and I had there. God has a way of putting you right where you need to be during my hardest time of loss.
