In this episode Yergz discusses extremism, once again, partially because this job is never done, and partially because it's also a set-up for the series of interviews with School Board Candidates from his hometown Boyertown, PA.

Yergz is not a Democrat! Hasn't ever been. Ever. As such, he sides with Howard Stern in a definition of "Woke," for what is a good thing and what isn't. My research has shown that a previous topic from Season One, who was mentioned in the previous video, Moms For Liberty. While we at Up The Middle don't "endorse" candidates, we DO tell you who are dangerous to vote for. These two gentlemen get it!

Like I said in this video, and previous ones, "You can be a conservative, you can be a Republican, and not be an asshole."

Nothing about these gentlemen are "clandestine." They are overt and not ignorant to the obvious. They understand that the property values that some are trying to protect, will be lost with a poorly performing school system.

Yergz begins talking about Moms for Liberty, by first congratulating the audience for taking the initiative to educate themselves on extremism. He then goes on to tell you about his background, starting at Penn State University, bodyguard school, police academy in Reading, PA, and ultimately the US Secret Service at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), the Rowley Training Center in Beltsville, MD and his credentials identifying him as a Special Agent.

Next, Yergz tells you about how Extremist Groups operate. They are clandestine organizations and don't openly tell you about their discriminatory policies and practices. Many of the members and political candidates are of a fascist mindset and don't even know it! The methodology and intentions are exactly like famous fascist leaders, such as Hitler, right down to banning books and "maintaining freedom."

Parents for Pride is a counter-organization that has not yet been labeled as a similar type of organization. Point being: You, as a viewer, are not the only one resisting the efforts of Moms for Liberty.

Moms for Liberty is a conservative Political Action Committee (PAC), that advocates against school curriculums that mention LGBTQ Rights, Race and Ethnicity, Critical Race Theory (CRT), and Discrimination.

Chapters have also campaigned to ban books, especially those discussing gender and sexuality. Founded in 2021, in Florida, by ousted school board members, to campaign against COVID-19 protection measures, causing Florida to actually be not only a political hotbed, but literally a viral one.

Moms for Liberty is very influential and entrenched in the Republican Party. The group has been endorsed by then President Donald Trump, and has moved on to endorse political candidates themselves, such as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Though Moms for Liberty claims to only "support" political candidates, the money spent on such "support" would easily be considered and actual endorsement by any reasonable person.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has labeled Moms for Liberty as a "Hate Group." The SPLC has accused the Moms for Liberty of advocating for anti-inclusive activities and book bans, though this is denied by Moms for Liberty. Some of the key beliefs are Parental Control. Moms for Liberty is against Critical Race Theory, a 40 year old educational theory. Moms for Liberty is against having books that show gender and sexuality, and COVID-19 protections.

Moms for Liberty influences school boards by organizing and training parents for attending school board meetings, develop speaking skills, and to learn the political process. But what is not told, is how Moms for Liberty also pushes on these parents the Moms for Liberty agenda. What appears to be nice, turns out to be otherwise. Moms for Liberty campaigns for some, and against other school board candidates. While they claim to simply "support" candidates, professionally done flyers are done, by Moms for Liberty, "supporting" specific candidates. This is an ENDORSEMENT. And as such, their "support" is misleading. They also work to defeat candidates that are not aligned with the Moms for Liberty agenda. Again, further "supporting" the pro-Moms for Liberty candidates.

Moms for Liberty has also filed lawsuits against school districts in several states over the above issues. They lobby state and federal law makers to pass legislation that is aligned with the Moms for Liberty agenda. Moms for Liberty is also active on Facebook, Twitter and InstaGram. They are active in several states with their activities.

In this episode, we begin a two part series that interviews former Secret Service Special Agent, turned author, Cory Allen. Cory joins Yergz, remotely, for an opportunity to catch up, but also an opportunity to share each others' stories, and their relevance, to coming out, and coming of age.

We begin with Cory's upbringing, his Mom's numerous husbands over the years, and her efforts to protect and safely raise her children. Going "home" to Western Pennsylvania and seeing "Pap," Cory's grandfather was a "rock" for Cory, who endured a childhood of domestic violence and relocating.

Next Cory and Yergz discuss their unique perspectives of the world, having been able to see things in life that others only see on the evening news. From Yergz riding in Hillary Clinton's motorcade, to Cory watching the Obama's board Marine One for the last time, these two have seen history!

Cory and Yergz then share with each other their own battles with mental health and reassure each other that the treatment that each is receiving is ok and well deserved. This, of course, gets into how each will parent their children. Cory and his fiancé are working with two surrogates and are in the process of giving us all a reason for another book - and another interview!

Finally, we come back to Cory's youngest memory's of questioning his sexuality. While moving to protect others from the awkward situations, there was still the inappropriate jokes and gay bashing, especially in a hypermasculine atmosphere like law enforcement. In this video we examine Jason Aldean's latest hit music video for the Country Music Song, "Try That in a Small Town." While Country Music Television has decided to pull the video from its network, listeners supported the song and pushed it up to Number 2 on the Country Music charts.

The downside, however, was that on the same site that the video was shot, where back in 1927, an 18 year old black man, Henry Choate, was hanged and wrongfully executed - lynched - for an attack on a white girl. Yergz examines the clandestine lifestyle of both White Power AND Black Power movements. In this day and age, neither just up and says, publicly, that they are racist. But it was from the video's portrayal of the small town; what appears to be a cross burning, a Molotov cocktail held by a white man, and the same courthouse that Jason Aldean sang in front of, that made Yergz believe that the video was racist, or had a racist overtone. And that only took 24 seconds!

Yergz then explains exactly what a Molotov cocktail is, and how this weapon would not only not be used by the Black Community, but that the one in the video is that of a white man. It just seems that if you had the Black Community supporting your message, you'd be able to get a black stuntman to hold the cocktail....

Back in April of 2018, Jason Aldean released "Rearview Town;" a song in the album of the same name, where he sings about wanting OUT of a small town, where small town life sucks. Continuing on how small town life may not be that great, Yergz quotes an article by Kathleen Diaz for Police1.com, where we learn that police are more than 3x likely to die on the job in a small town, versus the big city. So much for Mayberry and "Backing the Blue."

Then Yergz looks at the truth, and not being ignorant to the obvious. Yergz thinks of what we really know about the "Southern Way of Life;" MTG, Matt Gaetz, Racism, Slavery and White Power. Life in a small town now, versus Jason Aldean's life in a small town back in 2018, when he left it.

Play the song. Don't play the song. But all is not right in the world. And Yergz supports any artist's right to produce whatever music they want.

Governor Ron DeSantis claims to know nothing, and have nothing to do with, the new criteria for teaching about slavery and race in the state of Florida. Not only do we show THAT'S a lie, but we also poke the obvious fun for him taking the easy way out. Former New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie, agrees.

Florida is now teaching that black slaves received a "Personal Benefit," in that they learned job skills. Wow! Then we get to watch Sgt. DeSchultz struggle to justify HIS policies.

Yergz breaks down Gov DeSantis' mannerisms to include "the bobble head," and "the three whites." Yergz explains why the body does this, and most importantly, what it means. The bobble head is like a nervous tic. The three whites, also known as "crazy eyes," show tension and often lead to "fight or flight."

Sure. (loved that response from the anchor!)

Additionally, there was no support from the background. The one Asian lady smiled, but any poker player, or normal human being, can tell that was fake, even a sign of embarrassment. When you backdrop yourself with supporters, they should be showing just that: SUPPORT. They stood there, silently, and with no genuine emotion.

Then we watch former NJ Governor Chris Christie go on the offensive. He articulates that DeSantis' actions are "not the signs of leadership," and "politically manipulative," once again showing how he's different than any other Republican Presidential Candidate.

We then see what Google Bard had to say. Withing seconds, we used AI to determine that Ron DeSantis DID have something to do with these new requirements, reminding me that he had books removed from schools that accurately taught students about Harriet Tubman!

This brought fear to the hearts of teachers, and made them protect their job security over the quality of our children's educations. This is why Yergz decided to Home School his son, Zack, for his senior year. While we don't endorse candidates at "Up The Middle," Ron DeSantis is the one guy that could get Yergz voting for Trump - and that's not happening.

In this episode we look at a summary provided by Google Bard, with my usual edits and comments, citations provided, where necessary. Yergz.com has gone live! Yergz then discusses how common such plea deals are, and that Hunter Biden did not get something that he wouldn't have otherwise been entitled to, if he were not the President's son. With a comparison to Michael Cohen's plea, Yergz shows how normal this type of agreement is. Then Yergz shows how fair President Biden actually was; not asking for the resignation of US Attorney, David C. Weiss, a Trump appointee, who personally oversaw the Hunter Biden case, some done by a US Attorney only for high profile cases, but not infractions like these. Next we look at the two companies, Cadre and Affinity Partners, started by Kushner that effected his work in the Trump Administration. Once these facts are out, Yergz compares Biden to Kushner and essentially says we can't look at one without the other. Remember, the US Intelligence Community was skeptical on giving Kushner a security clearance in the first place. Then, it's on to TWO BILLION DOLLARS. While STILL IN THE WHITE HOUSE, Jerad Kushner accepted an investment from the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia to the tune of TWO BILLION DOLLARS. But Hunter Biden and drag queens are the problem... Jerad Kushner took three trips to Saudi Arabia from September 2000 to January 2021 to "discuss peace," while accepting his TWO BILLION DOLLARS and WHILE ON OFFICIAL BUSINESS. In this episode, Yergz shares with us his method to Self-Educate, and the seven steps that provided him with a wealth of success and knowledge.

First, Yergz recommends setting a goal and sticking to it. Remove distractions and start your education (or any other project) with the end goal in mind.

Then do a generic search; Google, major websites, human sources are, literally, your friends.

Third, move to a more focused search. Take your broader search and pinpoint the info your wanting to learn about.

Then collate, and build your content according the the timeline that you've established.

Finally, Yergz help you evaluate, and realize how much you suck, as you look objectively at your own work, and ask others for their opinion, as well.

Ultimately, Yergz advises to repeat this process to establish a rhythm and maintain consistency as you continue to learn additional information.

With the success of his video birthday tribute to Paul Harvey, Yergz decided to feature another great broadcaster that he admires; Howard Stern. Yergz starts off with Howard's early beginnings in New York as a child in his father's production studio, before moving on to Boston University and WTBU and "The King Schmaltz Bagel Hour."

Next, it's off to the Developmental Years for Howard, beginning in Briarcliff, New York, at WRNW, followed by WCCC in Hartford, where he first meets "Frightening" Fred Norris. It was here that he got to do his first talk show - on Sunday Mornings!

Then it was off to Detroit, where his station, WWWW, decided, literally overnight, that they were making the move to Country Music. Howard decided that he didn't want to be "Hop Along Howie," so he packed up again and this time landed in Washington, DC.

He next landed at WWDC - DC 101, where he'd eventually meet Robin Quivers, and reunite with Fred Norris. But it wasn't before DC 101 management didn't know what to do with him, so he was fired, but after he already signed a contract with WNNNNBC - The Major Leagues of radio!

He wasn't even settled in, and there was already trouble. NBC hired him strictly on his numbers; he got great ratings in DC. But they didn't HEAR him. It wasn't until he appeared on NBC Magazine's feature on "Shock Radio" that upper management at NBC realized what they've done. Still alone, and with Robin pissed, Howard eventually talks NBC into hiring Robin and Fred.

This is also where Howard started getting national exposure, like "Late Night with David Letterman," and "People Magazine," all thanks to his new "Super Agent," Don Buchwald. But from simply doing his job, NBC fired all three of them in September of 1985. One month later, Howard and Company would sign with Infinity Broadcasting and stay in New York to "Kick NBC's ass!"

Howard signed a five-year $500,000 deal with Infinity. Soon after, he arrived at the coveted morning slot, followed by syndication to Philadelphia. Then back to DC, Baltimore, and Los Angeles!

Howard also worked on other projects. He created a pilot to replace Joan Rivers at Fox, but it didn't work out. Then he created "Howard Stern's Negligee and Underpants Party," as well as a TV show what was filmed in New Jersey. He also did "Crucified by the FCC," a box set containing the bits that Howard couldn't do on the air.

Back in the spotlight, Howard appeared in "Rolling Stone," who said he was fast tracked to multimedia stardom." He also appeared on the E! network, and as "Fartman" during the 1992 MTV Music Video Awards.

In this episode, we take a look at historical comparisons of poll numbers to fund raising. While Yergz reminds you that the only poll that counts is the one of Election Day.

Yergz suggests that you "follow the money." Not like in a fraud investigation, but the totality of the individual campaign contributions for each quarter. This is a challenge to the traditional amount of weight placed on polling. But due to some outside influence, Yergz suggests that a more organic or authentic view is from the hard earned money donated by individuals.

Next, Yergz goes back as far as 2008 and looks at "normal" presidential campaigns, but also looks at the anomaly known as Donald Trump, and MAGA.

Has voting for Presidents come back to the age of "lesser of two evils"? Currently, more people find all of the candidates less favorable, than favorable. But President Biden holds the slight edge...

Does that mean that he's disliked less, so we like him more?

In this video we talk with Krista Arndt, candidate for Boyertown School Board. She is the last, from Boyertown Forward, who accepted our offer to come on live, as well as record, for Up The Middle and Yergz Tonight.

Krista is a challenger for Region 1 within the District and first explains the actual voting process of absentee voting, mail-in, and election day. Polls are only open on election day from 7a - 8p ET. All other methods (mail-in / absentee) are by mail.

Krista starts by discussing the budget allocation and where she believes the current board is failing.

Then we get a celebrity cameo - her daughter!

Krista turns the table on Yergz and asks what his favorite part of school was. Yergz tells about his time as a "Gifted" student, but also tells about how he wasn't diagnosed with his learning disability until college. He also gives a shout out to a junior high English teacher, and his Both Sides Now cohost, Jane Stahl!

Yergz turns it back on Krista and asks her about her background and growing up. She talks about originally coming from New Jersey, by way of Pennsburg / Upper Perkiomen Schools. She voices her concern about a decline in resources, yet remains a firm believer in public education.

Next, Yergz points out that this is the fourth time we've heard that answer, so it must be frequently discussed. He then asks about gangs and drugs, to which Krista advises that "strong leadership" is going elsewhere.

While Yergz corrects her that the economy is actually doing well, but moves the conversation about the direct correlation between real estate values and the quality of the school system. He goes on to compare his current residence and neighborhood, to like residences in Marina-del-Rey, Los Angeles, and St Pete Beach and points out the extreme differences in prices. Additionally there are more than 200 listings currently in his 1 square mile neighborhood; in large part to the quality of schools, as his neighborhood becomes younger and younger.

Her daughter checks in, again, (name withheld) and starts to do Mommy's hair...

Yergz goes on to ask about the active voting demographic - being older and without kids. Krista counters that grandparents also care about their grandkids, though they do have to be conscious about budget.

So then Yergz asked about her Four Year Plan, to which Krista advises that the first thing to begin repairs on is money and funding resources. She wants to really open the budget and see what is being done wrong.

Then, we lose her camera, because of her daughter's rather comical bathroom break.

So with no camera on her face (with an opportunity to make funny faces), Yergz asks about Moms for Liberty, to which she counters that parents already have a Bill of Rights, and refers to M4L candidates and members as those who "pass out tin foil helmets," and questions their motives. She doesn't sugar coat, we'll say that!

Yergz wraps up with her actual day job, to which she explains that it is a direct correlation to her potential seat on the board would be. She is a Chief Information Security Officer for a medical practice.

Next up in the series, Jessica Skelton, allegedly from 1776, but she denies that. Watch that video, too, (and Monday's finale!), and see what gets uncovered!
