That type of stuff is very useful for clarity but it is not Mind Mapping.

It simply comes to me in the form of inspiration, I then apply it right away to my own life and then I teach it if its working for me.

Back in 2014, I was in a slump for a few months.  

 

I couldn't quite put my finger on why.  

 

Luckily, Vince, who's been my Coach since 2012, was able to ask me a few key questions on one of our calls to get to the bottom of it.  

 

It turned out, it was a simple fix.

 

I had, for some dumb reason, stopped planning my days out the night prior.  

 

Which left me feeling aimless and without purpose.  

 

I got back on my daily planning and the 'fog' lifted.

This past weekend, we went skiing at Blue Mountain.  

 

Devon grew up skiing, I did not.  

 

She already has our kids whipping around the mountains, so I know that if I want to be a part of that as we grow older, I need to learn.  

 

Now, for me, that involves quite a bit of fear.  

 

In the latest episode of ULYIS, I discuss: self-doubt, self-talk, dealing with death at a very early age and physical vs. psychotic pain.  

 

I use the physical pain to access my psychotic pain as a chance to work the all important muscle known as the mind.

Finishing on Fumes19 Nov 202400:13:01

Yesterday, I ran in the Princeton Half Marathon. 

 

Admittedly, I probably should have trained more for it. 

 

I hit a wall around mile 10 and yes, I know my build isn't ideal for distance running. 

 

At my first 'dark valley', I spotted Devon with the kids and my mom! I wasn't expecting her to be there. 

 

It gave me a boost to get through the next 2 miles, at which point, the wheels came off a little bit.  Ha!  My legs were giving out, cramping pretty severely. 

 

I called Devon as I sat in the middle of the road, trying to get my right leg to unlock.  I heard her say to my mom, 'I knew it!  He's cramping!  Boys, go help dad…'

 

Could it be that they were right around the corner? 

 

Indeed they were. 

 

My mom, Brad and Colty, appeared and they ran the last half mile with me, willing me on and cheering me on. 

 

The boys kept saying, 'Dad, don't stop.'

 

It was a beautiful moment and one that I will never forget. 

 

As we crossed the finish line, the boys walked with me to get our medal.  🏅

 

I then embraced my mom and unexpectedly, she embraced me for about 2 minutes while tears of happiness ran down my face.  ❤️

 

I couldn't have scripted it any better. 

 

Remember, it's always darkest just before dawn…

One of the most feared things every year at tryouts, the day after Thanksgiving, was when Coach would have us run an endless amount of suicides.  

 

He was weeding out the weak.  

 

There were puke buckets on the sides.  

 

So, I ran suicides for months leading up to tryouts my junior year.  

 

Let's just say that tryouts were relatively easy for me, while I got to watch in amusement as the others were dying in their suicides.  

 

I practiced tough, which made the 'real life' easy. 

 

This is what you want to do with your everyday living.

A few weeks ago, I was refining our 1 year vision for Newell Strength and I had written one of the things as, 'To impact over 5,000 local lives'.  

 

The only problem was….it didn't excite me.  And if it didn't excite me, you can be sure that my team was probably not excited.  

 

So, I sat there one night and thought about it and BAM!  

 

The 1 year vision in that realm was to impact over 1,000,000 lives around the world.  

 

Now, this might sound impossible, but it's not.  

 

With that thing called the Web and our strategies for social media, it might actually be too low.  

 

But, when Evan, our Marketing Director, asked me during a recent brainstorming session, 'What is the impact?  How will we improve over 1,000,000 lives?'  

 

I didn't hesitate in my response….

 

MINDSET.  

 

That's my thing, and that's what I am going all in on.

 

Even the Panda is a function of mindset and Mind Map.

I had quite a few 'ceremonies' to initiate myself into my 5th decade of life.  

It began with a nice trip into my mind and spirit overnight.

Then, I put my body to the test on 4 hours of sleep, fasted for 72 hours, blood donated the night before and the list goes on.  

It was an initiation, a breaking down of barriers, killing of my 40 year old self if you will.

Consider creating some ceremonies for your next birthday and an initiation process into that year of your life.

And I have to tell you, that this is by far the best I have ever felt in my life.

I tell them, not much, besides finally 'getting it'.  Something clicked and now I have been propelled to another level of health and fitness.

3 years ago, Emma was born.  

 

Yes, our little warrior princess is growing up fast!

 

3 years and 10 months ago, I figured out a loophole in  supplementing with testosterone.  

 

You see, I have always been a practitioner of direct knowledge, mainly through self-experimentation.  

 

And one of the areas of expertise that I have developed this in is in testosterone replacement therapy.

As I've gotten back into the training aspect at Newell Strength, I have really been enjoying listening to and thinking about the philosophy of some of the bodybuilding greats.  

 

Men that have inspired me and that have played a huge role in my development.  

 

Socrates has a quote that resonated with what I have been thinking alot about lately, 'No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training.  It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.'  

 

You shape your mind through your body.  

 

Your body is the temple, treat it as such and watch how your philosophy of life changes.

The time has come.  Election day 2024 is upon us.  

If you are expecting a result tomorrow, you are going to be disappointed.  

I believe this is a kick start for the chaos I have been predicting for a number of years now.  

Realize that this is a not a left v right fight, that's what the powers that be want you to buy into.

Why I Decided to Explore the World of Fasting Yet Again26 Apr 202200:13:02

3 years ago, I dove into longer form fasting, after doing a 16-20 hour fast for the prior 5 years.  

 

But just like 2019, I knew there was something more to be learned and explored, which is the feeling I've been hearing God whisper into my ear quite frequently.  

 

That's part of the  inspiration that some people have heard me talk about when I talk about developing Indigo Panda.  

 

Anyhow, I am diving back into my 72's, which I still was doing every few months, some dry fasting, and some other fasting experiments I am kicking around right now.  

 

For me, it's mainly a spiritual quest this time around.
