| Dealing with People Who Just Want to Use You | NOSPHERE | 25 Jun 2024 | 00:59:27 | |
Welcome back to another episode of the Underground Society Podcast. In this episode we talk with Nosphere who had a tweet “explode” with over 600k engagements where he mentions Ghost Production. While Ghost Production is frowned upon in this industry, it happens a lot more than you would think. But that wasn’t the problem… A part of what Nosphere does is ghost production. It’s a great way to make money and he has been very successful at it. But today he tells us a story of something that we all should look out for in this industry which is getting taken advantage of or “used” by one of his clients that he was producing for. As soon as Nosphere progressed and began to understandably raise his ghost production prices, his client decided to dip and move onto the next young artist who would do the job for a lot cheaper. His biggest piece of advice? DO NOT DO ANYONE FAVORS in this career field, you will most likely end up feeling used. Thank you so much for tuning in, enjoy the episode! In this episode I speak with Ace Aura who is considered one of the pioneers of what most bass music fans call "Melodic" or "Future Riddim" and today he tells us how early on in his career, he struggled with fully expressing his creative vision. Have you ever wondered how certain artists who may not fit into a “popular genre” continue to chase after their sound, even when they're faced with a ton of rejection? In almost all cases. I believe that it is crucial for artists to follow their creativity and produce anything that they want to, whether that be in one specific genre or multiple genres, with a specific vibe, all producers should have freedom in their creativity. In this episode, we speak with One True God who produces what he likes to call the dark genre. And today he tells us how he developed this unique sound and how he overcame a lot of the rejections in the process of making a full-time income off of ONLY streams. | |||
